1:12:10 Saskia takes the piggy out of the cage as the bonding wasn't going so well. She finds another pig named Hanoi to try and bond with the customers pig
1:28:51 Guinea pig Hanoi appears to be sick and Saskia doesn't want to adopt out a sick pig to anyone. So she takes Hanoi out of there and finds another pig. Only healthy pigs are adopted out at LAGPR❗💯
1:34:07 Saskia returns with a skinny pig to try and bond with the customers piggy, but they don't want a skinny so she tries with another piggy called Forrest🌲🐹
1:45:24 Saskia tried to bond piggy Forrest 🐹🌲with another pig,🐹 but it didn't work out. The pig was getting stressed from being exposed to too many pigs. The customers will come back for a bonding session another time. Saskia goes to reschedule an appointment & Ursula resumes health checks.

I just rescued a little boy Guinea pig about 10 weeks ago he is possibly blind and def When I feeding veggies I put them knew the door so he knows date are there.
Thanks for the timestamps. Gastric torsion is so terrible. The raised food bowls in dogs prevent gastric torsion.

If you start them on insurance when they are babbies though it's much cheaper, I started my girls when they were under 1yr and their insurance will only be 15$ a month for the rest of their lives, the later you start the policy the higher their coverage costs will be, I think it is worth it to get it when they are young because you lock in the lower price and then you have it too incase something goes wrong sooner. I get it though, I'm sure Saskia meant that if you HAVENT gotten them insurance by 3 you definitely need to or REALLY should because it's highly likely you'll want to take them to a vet at some point after 3yrs old.
Love the rescue Saskia! We LOVE your hay racks, they are the most perfect hay feeders out there, nothing else like them! And I just ordered your treats! I'm so excited for our girls to try them! Any idea when you guys will be able to sell you pellets online? We use small pet select right now and our girls love them but they are pretty pricey, I'd love the profits from our pellet purchases to go to a rescue!

Nationwide might insure regular pigs now Saskia, they covered chickens last time I called about a month ago, if they do chickens I don't know why they wouldn't do Pigs also! ❤ you should check again!

YES, I know chickens for sure because I got mine covered! I would imagine if they are covering chickens they would cover a goose too! I know for sure chickens, they may have expanded their "livestock" species recently! ❤
@@marydetray6776 It depends on whether its legal to keep a goose as a pet so they may not necessarily cover geese unless its legal there in Cali, I'm guessing it is, but some states its not legal to have a goose as a pet so the insurance would go by state laws

Coming across your vids a couple months ago inspired me to get my little piggies ASAP, like that day, after watching you for the first time. Well I got ONE that day, and then saw they shouldn't be alone, so got my baby Duke a friend, Lord, and they are just the cutest, cuddliest, happiest little boys I could have ever hoped for. I absolutely love them, and oddly so does my dog, a pit/pointer mix. I thought they'd be afraid of her, but once I got Lord, first time he had floor time he escaped my enclosure to prevent them from interacting with the dog, and ran right up to the pup! Now she treats them like they're her puppies, tucks them in, in her fleece bed that was too small, that she kindly gave them, and gives them kisses. It's the cutest little zoo!

I can't remember if Barkus is a calcified bulla piggy. @Saskia From Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue? Guinea Pigs do not necessarily pass on the infection to their cage mates. Some piggies may have built up a resistance to catching any illness from the sick piggy. I know my boy Roadie never picked up an URI from his brother Trig. Trig was sick every 2 weeks with an URI towards the end of his life. Even my girl Fluffy who suffered repeated URI's never passed them on to her blood half sisters and friends. Can it be passed on? Yes. I have personally not seen it happen. Fluffy and Trig both passed away before Saskia made her breakthrough research into Calcified Bulla and repetitive, untreatable URI's.

I've watched her for a few years even though I didn't have a guinea pig. 😅 now I recently rescued 2 girls who came to me sick and I'm nursing them back to health and it couldn't be more rewarding. All of these videos are so amazing and I love the work Saskia does!

Hi my name is Holly and I got two babies myself I got me a little boy and a little girl but I was told that they were both girls so I got my first one on the 10th of May and I got my second one on the 11th of May well the second one was so I had to but they still you know they looked at the cage and they talk to each other and you know they smell each other and they know each other's there and everything I'm not that good or that smart on really knowing you know how to check or look that's why I love watching your video I have learned so much by watching your videos but the question I have for you is they won't let me pick them up I can touch them I can put them I can rub them I can kiss them I could do all that but they will not let me pick them up what else can I do that I'm not going to hurt they are very the very sociable and they know their name and you know they come right up to us we can feed them by hand we can put on love them and all that I can put my face down towards them and kiss them and love them but I cannot pick them up put on your videos I've learned you know that you know they get says they get piece and that and how do I let them know that I'm not going to hurt them just you know so I can check them to make sure that you know they don't have no bladder infection assist they just I don't know they will not let me and I had almost had them a year now I got them when they were 6 weeks old and I've had them ever since and they are very sweet so if you could tell me what else to do please let me know I am open for suggestions I'm here to learn my email is Holly camp at 275 at gmail.com but it is one word I don't know why it's doing it like that it is one word
