Fenella is my bestie and we have worked together in the piggie bizniz for 20 yrs already. We always work together and help each other out. Today we took 20 pigs out of a group of 30 feral guinea pigs and also and took in a pig from the shelter with a massive mammary tumor .

You shouldn’t have to explain or justify your methods to idiots who don’t know anything and haven’t watched your channel....I guarantee these UA-cam hampster experts in the comments don’t even have a hampster to begin with but even so anyone who watches the channel knows they won’t stay in a small enclosure: no one would use a big cage on a rescue for Pete’s sake that’s stupid for lack of a better word.../ additionally THATS IN THEIR NATURE so you can have a 10 foot long enclosure and they will still “try to get out” . If the idiots actually listened to what was being said that fact was clearly mentioned.

He named him the weasel mouse, because even if you do not like rodents he weaseled his way into everyones heart! He had constant access to his cage but was a free range panda hamster. He loved to help me eat my oatmeal every morning. I will miss seeing him beg and do tricks for watermelon! Or having him smile back with his face stuffed with peanuts in the shell! He was so cute and smart! I will always miss him!

Here in NY hundreds of rats, mice, gerbils & guinea pigs were released into the woods a couple days ago. A couple hundred had already died when they were discovered. But hundreds were still alive/rescued. So sad. In Ithaca NY if anyone wants to look it up. I called right away to foster some piggies but they don't need anyone more fosters at this time (except for the rats!!) It's devastating.. they were all found huddling together (the rats AND guinea pigs together) just to stay warm..

You basically said "what's wrong with throwing the guinea pigs to a pack of wild dogs so they get eaten alive, the guinea pigs have a right to live free" which makes you come across as someone who either thinks it's fine to be cruel to animals or doesn't understand now the natural world works. I had to stop the video at 3:04 to look up why gerbils were illegal in California. It's not only gerbils, but also ferrets, hedgehogs and squirrels. I had no idea, but I'm glad that California is taking actions to protect its native species. Well done, California. Now back to the adorable piggies!

Ooh this is very good. They will learn so much from the other guinea pigs, they will be better soon. Please keep updated with the one with the mammary tumor. Keep up the the great work, everything at the rescue looks so orderly and clean, including the grounds. Thank goodness there are other rescuers to help one another to provide medical care, house them, socialize them, and finally find them loving homes.

Hope they can be adopted in bonded pairs.

Hamsters do build homes in the wild! They construct elaborate underground burrows with sleeping, bathroom, and storage “rooms.” They travel miles and need lots of space to dig/explore/exercise. That screaming noise is kind of rare unless they’re terrified. Thank you for taking him to a safe place!

"There's no pig that won't come when there's food around."
That's how I knew something was wrong with my friend's bunny. He normally has to be distracted to one side with a treat while you put his food bowl down, or he'll shove his face so hard into it knocks it out of your hand. So when I walked in and shook his food bowl and he didn't come out.. I instantly thought he was dead.
Found him under a piece of furniture, and it took AGES to get him to move at all and get him into a carrier. Off to the vet right away! I swear I hit 100mph a couple times on the highway up to the emergency rabbit vet! Early stages of stasis.. we caught it quickly and he only spent one night at the vet before coming home.
