The car is quite impressive with everything it offers mechanically, the only aesthetic detail that I think is quite bad for the price is that they have included the same black piano interiors as the standard Corolla, they could have made them of fiber or something more resistant because it will be a car that you will use in aggressive situations and it looks quite cheap, to protect it with PPF or a vinyl.
It makes no sense to me that the car "is more neutral" and "wants to rotate more" if you take the mass off the rear-end (like they did with the Morizo edition), because it makes the previous 60:40 front-rear weight distribution into something like 65:35, which is obviously even worse.
The Morizo Edition does not have 30 lbs of boost, it has 26.2 lbs of boost just 1 extra pound of boost. Need to do your homework when you are doing car reviews.
Most overhyped car of 2022-2023! If it sold for MSRP, I wouldn’t be writing this comment. But because it doesn’t, it’s probably in the top 5 of worst cars to buy right now.
Agree, it’s nothing special since the last decade. 300hp awd hatch has been so overplayed. STi, Focus RS, Golf R plus many others. GR Corolla also overheats easily on track.. imagine that..
Special thanks to our Patrons for their support of the channel! Would you fork up the extra cash for the Morizo...if you could even get it?
NO NEED TO GET The MORIZO EDTION BUT IF SOMEONE DOES I ALSO UNDERSTAND WHY.
Morizo also has shorter gearing
Toyota is a shitty company! Lying sacks of garbage!
I've got the Core version, and had to swoop it up before someone bought it at the dealer.
I enjoyed seeing and hearing these cars on the track. I also like both the red and white color
😬
I enjoyed your perspective on this car. It reminds of the GLHS over thirty years ago in some ways.

Core looks better, not a fan of the Fast and Furious hood vents and the gloss black grill on the Morizo.
Core it’s more than enough for daily use . I’m thinking of buying it , but paying over $48k …. Let’s see what happens
You’ll love the GR, enjoy
$48k before tax or after tax and everything?
Just picked up my core model (perf, tech, cold weather) last Friday for low 40’s before tax. It’s possible you just have to look far and wide.
Bought my no option Core for 40K + GA taxes.

a loss in weight is always going to make the car handle better
I don't think you get "cooled seats" in this car, for that you need Golf R, which is a considerably more luxurious and versatile vehicle.
50k plus mark up and you get a 3 cylinder that barely hits 60 in 5 seconds what a waste
No heated seats or steering wheel in the Morizo. Weird omission, can't imagine those weigh much.
I kind of agree but in fairness the Type R LE removed the rear wiper and some other stuff to save like 50 lbs…
The brakes are not brembos! They are Advics brakes
Whatever they are they’re good…but not as good as the type R brakes
i thought theyre Akebono’s
@@tinhinnh the calipers are made by advics and the brake pads akebono
@@dwnshft really? i saw a recent review and they said the brakes are similar to the type r’s
@@alex86hachiroku ok thanks
Now i feel dissatisfied with my 24’ core

Shoot looks like you’re right about the pressure. Don’t remember where I saw 30psi now
Morizo Edition: “Presuming you can get it at that price”….no.
hoda tpy r got bags for it looks but this looks much the same
That alcantara interior will not outlast the Core's.
TOYOTA 🏁❤️👍🏻
the morizo costs more than the supra with mark up...wtf
Paying 20k more for less features is insane. Morizo definitely not worth it.
What word did u use before "flare" when describing the rear??
They are not Brembo. Another supplier

Was there a particular driving characteristic that you didn't like about it? How was it to drive on track?
@@ytj22 Dude has a VW in his avatar. I'm willing to bet they've never driven the car.
Core MSRP + $1300 dealer add ons. Not ideal but at 73 I'm not waiting for the price to drop
I love ALL cars, but this car's looks is just not happening
