Good to see a pro at work! Excellent video. Just wish there was more detail on the 2 fuel line removals as I destroyed the special clips(green and orange) during removal. I understand the part # is Dorman 800-023. Thank you
Wouldn't it be easier to remove the bed mounting bolts, unplug the tail light harness, remove the filer tube connection and slide the bed back to swap the pump than remove that tank and work overhead?
Thats the correct way to do it if you don't have a lift but I love how they made a video for this shit glossing over the fact that 99% of the dudes watching this that are looking for pointers DON'T have a lift. I'm grouchy because they made it look so simple to disconnect the lines from the pump. I just got done changing my pump an hour ago.
i just changed my pump same pump as in the video but for some reason now my fuel gauge is stuck on full. I’ve read it’s most likely ground wire to sending unit but i’m a bit confused. I changed the whole pump it’s brand new so i doubt it’s any problem with that anyone got any help?
Thank you for a helpful video. I have a 2000 Mazda B2500 SE 2.5L , 4 Cylinder - is the Fuel Pump Assembly the same as the 2000 Ranger? Is the Fuel Pressure Regulator Setup the Same?
First of all you dont need a fuel pressure gauge and you took out a nice stainless set up and installed a steel china piece of crap and instead of just putting a new fuel pump and strainer , dont install steel or plastic if your OEM is stainless
Not very helpful, didn’t really focus on changing the fuel pump. Didn’t cover the issues of getting the pump set into place properly, what to do if the pump doesn’t feel like it is seating in properly and when it feels if it is too long for the tank. Not a helpful video at all.
This dude skipped showing the most difficult points of this repair. He is a HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY type of dude but will not help you finish the job. This is a bad video, period!
This guy is weird... i almost fell asleep from his soft speech (and sometimes not understanding what he was saying). No way to complete this job the way this dude is demonstrating. Not a helpful video at all.

I just did the same thing. I put them back on with zip ties that fit perfectly in place of the clips.

I have the exact same year truck, 3.0 and have a problem with the electrical hook up, not getting consistent fire to the pump.

Yes, the setup is the same for both applications.
