As much as you would like to believe Bobby was the downfall to Whitney's career and their marriage and perhaps started her on drugs, you need to rethink again and understand that Whitney was not innocent in this by no means. Evidence of that can be seen in "Being Bobby Brown" There was more going on behind "closed" doors than we could have imagined. Both Bobby AND Whitney has done their fair share of dirt to one another, but they also loved each other. Keep in mind also, that her brother admitted he was the one who introduced Whitney to drugs, not Bobby. So don't look at this as one-sided because they both played a part in how they treated each other and how the marriage played out. Therefore I disagree, he did not betray her.

When he said “They said I was a leech” the second time and started getting emotional, that got to me. They cut that part out in this video. He didn’t deserve that. People were going way too overboard with their comments and insults to Bobby and didn’t know the full story about what went down. No one deserves to be called a leech.

I see what you are saying, and I agree with you, but I also think that Whitney played a part in damaging her own career but doing drugs! Her brother said he introduced her to drugs! In the movie "I Wanna Dance With Somebody!"Clive advised Whitney to quit smoking. So I think it's mostly Whitney's fault, but he certainly didn't help her!
@@tgree18 I agree, i think Whitney made bad decisions and was probably the kind of person who did what she wanted and didn't listen to anybody. I think her and Bobby were a bad mix because they both had problems and enabled each other, but I think if it hadn't been Bobby then she would have probably ended up in a volatile relationship with someone else. And yes, Whitney was using (and I suspect was already an addict) when she met Bobby. Bobby claims he didn't start doing drugs until he met Whitney but I don't believe that, I think he had his own issues and like I said, I think they just enabled each other.
I feel like they should’ve put more of the positive side of their relationship, like when they performed “something in common”.

Listening to you parents arguing is traumatizing. I remember laying up in my bed hearing my parents argue after coming home from a party when I was 8. They were arguing then he slapped her and started beating her. I lay in my bed trembling the entire night.....hearing her scream stop it! I was never the same after that 😭

I was gona say! I mean I was a toddler when she made it big but I remember nothing but love for Whitney. I definitely love more than just her singing. She was the full package. She had a fun, sweet personality and was gorgeous!

We prayed for her. Bobby was verbally, physically, and emotionally abusive to Whitney. Someone who was already insecure, as beautiful a d talented as she was, but insecure. Bobby never tells the 100% truth in his films and iont like that.
You may have loved Whitney, but others didn't. Some people hated her even before she met Bobby. If you want proof, she was boo'ed at 1998 Soul train awards. What he did was wrong. But Whitney did him wrong too and was just as verbally and emotionally abusive as he was. Both were at fault.

She was the top paid black actress of the 90s and her music sales were astronomical. That is when Bobby started acting out and doing things for attention and trying to embarrass her. None of his projects after 1992 were selling the way he was used to. Whitney was the superstar and he hated it. He started becoming Verbally, mentally, physically and emotionally abusive to her. When he knew she had a big performance coming up he would start arguments with her the night before so she'd be hoarse on stage the next day. He broke her spirit and you could see it gradually happening over the years. The majority of America loved Whitney Houston. Bobby was the worse thing that happened to her. Imagine how her life could have turned out if she had a man that was confident and secure enough to let her shine without jealousy. A man that wasn't trying to compete with his wife. A man that wasn't telling his wife nobody loves her, they just love how she sings. She would have been better off without Bobby. He didn't elevate her career she elevated his. She would put Bobby in all her videos, letting him executive produce her albums so he could feel important etc. What a fkn loser.

But Bobby has dealt with the consequences of his actions and has redeemed himself by treating his new wife better, and he said he still loved Whitney, so he probably regrets what he had done. I forgive him, i hope you do, but im not white knighting him or bashing Whitney. They are not perfect just like we are not perfect and have made mistakes in the past and i think if bobby could go back in time, im betting that he would fix his relationship with her. Her voice, her beauty, her talents, her love for other human beings, the way she showed love to other younger girls coming up behind her, the way she cared about children and all the organizations and charities she donated to...her music was there for me when I was at my lowest. Her music helped uplift me. I loved the way she loved GOD and cared about her family. I didn't need to know her personally to care about her and want the best for her. I also do have a full life and family and loving Whitney Houston did not stop me from not being there for my loved ones. They all know how much Whitney means to me. Now if she wasn't your cup of tea, that is fine but don't tell me how or who I should have shown love to. I find it kind of odd and quite disappointing that most people are still putting Bobby down and ignoring what Whitney has done. The one thing that gets me the most out of all of this is that Whitney allowed Bobbi Kristina to smoke cigarettes and whatever else she allowed her to do and nobody is bringing that up.
