I watch so many people who present things like they totally have their shit together so it's refreshing to see someone whose journal isn't picture perfect. I think this is really how most of us practice but social media makes us all feel like we suck if we aren't on top of everything

You’re hilarious! Love your honesty and transparency. Each of us has our own unique practices, and just because someone else is systematic and does everything perfectly, doesn’t mean that we can’t do stuff when we want it and leave it undone when we don’t! Kudos to you for saying it!

Here's how I look at it. Is it an art journal or a tarot journal? I can do one or the other. I have a journal that EVERYTHING goes in. No stickers, art, etc., just notes, tarot reads, thoughts, spells, etc., etc.. I write my tarot readings like this: Date, Name of deck at the top. Under this 3 columns for the 3 card spread. I write it like this: Q of W, 3 of S, A of P. 😂😂 Then under each card's title, I write the meaning, or key words of the cards in that card's column. Under the 3 columns I write a summary of what the read is saying. All this in my scrawly, arthritic, old lady cursive. 😂😂😂 Yours looks fabulous, so don't be so hard on yourself. I've had journals get filled in 6 months, and I've had them last 2-3 years. Just depends on how much I'm writing in there. Oh, I do have a set of miniature rws stickers and sometimes I'll put those in, instead of list the card. 😊❤❤ Thank ypu for this fun video! 🧙‍♀️🐈‍⬛🕯✨️🐞🧿🐾🍃🪹🪄🔮🦋🃏🪷🌿👍✌️❤️🙋‍♀️
PS I LOVE your book cover you made. You have talent! ❤

I may have been binge catching up with your content today, so to avoid being too creepy, I've not commented on everything haha. I loved this though. It's funny you don't assume it will inspire others, as your approach often inspires me because it's flexible, you, down to earth and your honest when you don't meet your expectations. Which I respect. I also think it looks cute, but there you have it haha. It's cuter than most of my journals have ever been.
I miss the podcast sometimes too. I actually have several podcast ideas that I've been developing for ages, but I don't enjoy podcasting alone, as I already create alone a lot. And finding a partner in crime with similar availability is always a challenge. But I'm glad you enjoyed it while we were doing it. I thought we did some fun explorations.

I love the realness of this. I don't always go back and fill things out in my journal either. I like how pretty your journal is!

This was great, not just because it shows real journaling, but because I love that you just gave up on the things not resonating rather than toughing it out. You are saving so much wasted time and energy that way. (I wish I hadn’t wasted all that time a few years ago doing a very frustrating deep dive into astrology. I’ll never get that time, energy, and sanity back.)

This is inspiring because I made a whole-ass video going through my 2023 tarot journal but couldn't bring myself to publish it 😅 I think yours looks great and love that it works for you.

I absolutely love this! I just started my own tarot journal after being so scared to get it wrong and I’m leaning into it looking janky as hell. It’s been so fun. Yours looks amazing ❤

I put off starting a tarot journal because in my head if it wasn’t all aesthetically pleasing with fancy pages, calligraphy (I even went out and purchased a book to practice, lol) and decorated with collage within an inch of its life, then it wasn’t “good enough.” Even though, I don’t make videos who the feck am I even showing that shit to, but because I watched all these gorgeous looking deck journal & grimoire book videos that somehow mine needed to look like that. Well, I came to my senses and now I just journal. If I feel fancy I’ll toss a sticker or extra fancy maybe I’ll do bubble letters lol. I think we put a tremendous amount of pressure on ourselves and a lot of times it’s unnecessary. Do a spread, journal the shit, who cares if it’s pretty looking, it’s about the actual spreads/readings and decorating pages for it is perfectly fine, but for me personally I was spending entirely too long making the pages look Instagram pretty and it was taking way longer than the actual spread itself. Thank you for sharing this with us. I appreciate your honesty and just no frills bs.

I liked this. My tarot journal has a bunch of empty pages where I said I would put the reading in later, lmao. Wrong.

Your journal looks pretty good to me! But I agree, I'm all about paring down if that's where you're at, and journaling in the way that works for you. I don't have time or space (or desire to store) for all the paper ephemera that makes an artsy tarot journal *super* blinged out, so I don't. Whatever.
