  • Hello all ♥️ We're entering the dark period of the year which means I am going to be spending a lot of time in my Spiritual Journal/Planner. What do you use to journal, spiritually, for your faith, or for fun? Let me know down below!
    In this vid:
    Papermintystudio: papermintystud...
    Tsuki bullet journal from Notebook Therapy: notebooktherap...
    Moleskine cahiers notebooks: www.moleskine....
    Traveler's notebook cover: I couldn't find the exact one that I had purchased, but many places have traveler's notebook covers, just make sure to get the size you want that will fit however many notebooks you like.

    omg this is the answer i have been looking for…i could never imagine putting together a mix of journals and after watching, i am so inspired in having separate journals for my tarot card readings, and a separate one as reference and studying. thank you so much 🙏🏻

    OH WOW. I just discovered your channel today (through your 2023 Hobonichi weeks video) and I love your videos!! I love how you plan and the systems, methods and planners you use. That was enough for me to subscribe, but then I went to your channel and discovered the tarot + planning content and… yeah, favorite planning channel 😍 I’m currently binging your past videos haha

    This is great! I have a spiritual diary/notebook. I used to use the Witches Datebook when I ran my group because everybody could get on the same page for ritual dates. I'm mostly solitary these days and my practice is more sporadic. I like the idea of making your own calendar to make it easier to track from moon to moon. Oh yeah - I'm Wiccan.

    I'm a witchy folk pagan!! 😍 loved this setup- my system is:
    -grimoire: potions notebook from the archer and olive halloween collection (B5)
    -witchy planner: erin condren vertical with a cover from cocoa paper planner
    -my bullet journal for notes from leuchturrm
    and then I have two A&O notebooks for deity work! ☺️✨

    I love this! My current grimoire is in a B6 Stalogy but I love the idea of having the different booklets in a TN setup :) Maybe after I finish this current one, that's the direction I go too. I have TONS of stuff in Standard TN size from when that was my main planner. Thanks for the walkthrough and the inspiration!

    Hellenic polytheist here! Wonderful journal! I keep devotional notebooks and stuff dedicated to the gods in one section of my traveler's and other things like tarot journaling in another, alongside other field notes like for herbs and tinctures, etc...! Thanks for sharing! I feel inspired to do a video tour now too...Maybe some day when I'm more open about it. I've been loving your videos.

      In my mind it's a HUGE set of binders/books with sub-sections, similar to chapters. In reality I have loose papers with chicken scratch, memorabilia, pictures and who knows how many journals with purely random notations & some standard work. I truly love this and plan to try it!

    That's for doing this! I've had the Magic of i before but didn't use it--it just didn't work for me as an actual planner for work/productivity. I've been using a Clever Fox for the past two years and that's worked well (ish), but didn't help me make any progress or keep track of my spiritual stuff. I've decided this year that I'm going to use two planners -- the Clever Fox for my work and "external" stuff, and another one for my spiritual and internal stuff--so I'm going back to the magic of i for that.
    For a while I was keeping track of tarot readings in an Archer & Olive notebook and gluing in photocopies of the cards and kind of art journaling them...but I found I never looked back at the spreads. What I'm doing now is just writing them down in a totally not pretty way in a Stalogy, and then going back over them and highlighting important things and action items. This way I can quickly look at it and pull out stuff that I want to follow up on.

    • @RachelleinTheory
      @RachelleinTheory  Рік тому

    You might want to look at an A5 choose to do planner cover if your low on space. You can have two hardcover A5 books in there comfortably. I like your idea I tried a ring binder and I hated it for spiritual stuff and I went back to hard cover books but honestly I need other note books etc for my studies.

    Haven't been doing tarot readings for a while, but seeing how you keep track of your readings and other study elements is inspiring. I used to write reading notes on little pieces of paper and keep them in my box of most-used tarot cards but that wasn't very useful. Thanks for the inspiration! And for the idea of putting a 'year reading' in your Hobo Cousin.

    Laughing to myself because I unintentionally got the exact same notebook and decided to use it as my tarot journal on a whim LOL! My interest is more on the intellectual side vs spiritual, if that makes sense, so I'm not really journaling personal stuff but I did want a place to compile all my notes. So I have a space at the beginning for general tarot info that I find interesting, a space at the end for some spreads that I like using, and then the rest of the notebook has two pages dedicated to each card and its meanings (and I used the sticker sheet from Writual Planner for a visual). But I was just looking around for some more inspiration and I knew you have a video, so apparently I was already more inspired than I realized 🤣

    • @RachelleinTheory
      @RachelleinTheory  Рік тому +1

      Hahah that's amazing 😂 I always want to do something like that on an individual deck basis, like with each deck! That would be a lot of work, but I think pretty fun.

  • @RoopaDudleyPaintings
    @RoopaDudleyPaintings Рік тому

    To me, Tarot is more of a journey and psychological state that gives us self-awareness. Imagery is there to trigger deep rooted feelings and recognize them - in other words giving form to an otherwise abstract concept to gain wisdom and understanding. The more iconic and symbolic the Tarot, the better the insights. Having said that, people practice faith for spiritual reasons. Yes, the traditional religions are not in fashion now, however, some of the best Tarot Decks can be self-transcendence oriented. They can unlock hidden and profound meanings that otherwise would have remained unexplored. I love Paul Foster Case's Tarot Book for that reason.

    First off, I just have to say that when I first started watching you a few months ago, I was like 😳😳😳 because we are THE. SAME. when it comes to planning preferences and philosophy BUT ALSO all the witchy stuff! So…umm…hi new friend!
    I love what you’ve done with this system! I’ve only tried one astrological planner but it didn’t really hit the mark for me. But it did give me an idea that I will share with you in case you can use it-what about getting a personal-planner and mark in the moons and major astrological events? If you can stand their one available font, that is 😅 Personally I’ve settled on subscribing to a Google calendar with the astrological dates on it and just writing them down in my Hobonichi as they come up. Can’t wait to see this system evolve for you! 🖤

    Thank you for sharing what I know is very personal. I’ve been an eclectic witch since 1980 & in 1998 discovered that there are witches in my paternal line. I just finished The Ancestral Tarot. It’s one of the best tarot books I’ve ever read. I recommend 78 Degrees of Wisdom & also Forest of Souls, both excellent tarot books by Rachel Pollack. I’m using a journaling g system very similar to yours. I’m moving into a Hobonichi Cousin for the first time in 2023. I wanted a catch-all planner/ journal & I’m planning on tracking my spiritual practice in it.

I've been using a traveller style notebook with 3 inserts (one for spells, another for spreads, and the last as a grimoire). I also use a Leuchtturn 1917 dot grid notebook to journal my tarot readings and Sabbats rituals.
    With regards to the MWOBS course, would you mind doing a video to give a review...of course not giving it all away, but maybe just share your experience so far, the pros/cons, etc? Thanks!

    I identify with a non-traditional religion: Atheopaganism =] I'm still shaping my organizational system but right now it's a combination of digital, a 3 ring binder for more refererce-y material, and a loose leaf stack with binder rings (and covers) for more active writing. I really like the ability to move pages around or to add/remove pages. I'm that person that sometimes prints things instead of rewriting them. I like the freedom of being able to do that and have the option of writing it out later or rewrite something if I really mess up. Maybe I just need all of those options to not feel anxiety 😅

    • @RachelleinTheory
      @RachelleinTheory  Рік тому +1

      I really like it! The real magic is in the worksheets, which if done correctly really hammer the lessons into you. Sabrina's practice and teaching is very spirit focused, but is otherwise practice-agnostic with a slight focus on North American craft. There's also a whole module on belief and cosmology, which I'd never seen before from other spiritual teachers. It helps you really examine what you believe and how you believe it, and what effect that has on your spiritual practice.
      It is a steep price point though. For MWOBS I got a good discount for being the starting cohort and for TWOBS (her tarot course) I waited until she had a sale so that I could afford it. She's closing out one of the most valuable aspects of the courses though, which is the live calls every month. (The community forum is still there but live calls are not.) I'm not sure how her pricing model will change with the live class calls gone, and of course it's possible she may offer a new version with modified benefits. So if you're thinking about buying, I would wait and see if it fits into your budget. (You get access to all the prerecorded live calls of course, but there's nothing like being able to ask your specific questions and get your specific answers.)
      I hope this helps!
