Man this is the first gym I started lifting at in 2011. I would give anything in my life to go back there. These days were amazing! There was a brotherhood at this gym and everyone was getting results.
@@Natureboypkr2 Yes man I swear.. I'm only 30 but I feel bad for the younger Gen who is trying to take training and bodybuilding serious becuase they will probably never experience something like we did with places like this
I always took his approach of less weight, more reps, more sets. Far less chance of injury and also will not destroy your joints later down the road when you're an older person. You just have to get over trying to lift huge weight and worrying about people thinking you're not capable of it.
Thanks again for putting out this timeless content!!!!!!!!!!......to me it is the very very best in training videos and showing the pro's what they really go through to achieve and maintain their physical condition going towards the end of a preparation for their upcoming events!!!!!!!!.....the way that you video the athletes from the angles to the lighting to the pro explaining what they are feeling as well as the way they are training is incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!.......you sir are a true master of your craft!!!!!!!!......and in my opinion the best at these time capsule video/ doc's!!!!!!!!!..... always makes my week!!!!!!!!

Amen to that, Jay Cutler is the men,and was the man to beat 30 years ago. And now he is still the men, he is in great cheap, 30 years later now 50 years old and still going strong, and still humble and a really nice men. And works every day since he was young, to make hiss brand bigger. But how can train as nobody els, the true king off real hard training, and is now again in a insane good shape, its great to see the greatest and biggest bodybuilder off all time. Still going strong, its mad, still the honger off succes, and the honger to eat 6 times a day, and train 2 times a day and 7 days a week, a hole week off training every day, eating the hole week, for one cause be the biggest and best again after 30 years. Nobody can do this, only Jay Cutler. The best bodybuilder all time. Greetings from a BB fan how train since 1985 from Holland. And is a big Jay Cutler fan.
Why is it that these guys look so frikkin amazing in the simple gym lighting, without even putting on tanning oil, and then when it comes to the Olympia stage, the lighting is complete crap and there's more LED screens and posters to focus on rather than the competitors.
Jay spoke in a total monotone back then and showed almost zero personality. He really opened up and became more interesting with the advent of social media.
she's just for support ofcourse jay knows his limits he's not egolifting unlike those idiot people who goes for a pr without a proper plan b or precautionary measure if things goes south. plus you dont know a thing about bodybuilding you confused powerlifting to bodybuilding you dont even know the difference between the two.
I'm natty and it's takes 36 hrs for me to be able to walk stairs or sit on down without pain then another couple of days to be fit for a proper leg session . If you can train twice in a week natty then you aint training hard enough . Now if you take gear then your recovery rate is much quicker so then it's beneficial.
Pros most times does not train to failure. I train at least same like in this video or ever closer to failure but my legs arent growing that much as Jays. There might me a secret which they dont share. I am not talking about injections
Oh yes he's trying to gain so much size when he was already competing at the top level and almost at peak leaness. You shouldn't really follow what they do, because you're not in their shoes. But as for legs and every single other muscle just train it to failure (imo 10-16 sets a week [split to 2 days through the week for each muscle])
This is just my opinion obv, but it would be cool if there was a BB show with the same clout as the Olympia, but just with natural lighting and not requiring the crazy fake tan. Just like a normal representation/display of your body. I also think (hope) the mass monster look drops in favor (cbum def has helped accelerate this, I think). Idk, I just don’t like how shiny brown 350 lb dudes are the “peak” of body building and physique. Do love me some Jay though Or maybe another way to look at it maybe the Olympia should divvy up that prize money a little differently and not make the gulf between physique, classic and open so wide
Smith machine squats really are king… they’ve blown up my legs way more than barbell squats. Edit: Well it is now around 18 hours after watching this video and I have trained legs.. I am in a world of pain 😂🤣

The fact his wife was there along the journey pushing him to be better probably skyrocketed his physique

I still think that the older equipment is far superior as well ...

agreed see it all the time, why they changed the Olympia lighting from the 'above' lights like the old days to now is beyond me..
back when olympia was an actual bodybuilding show and not a marketing place
Because some "geniuses" are replicating the atmosphere of a dance club and not the lighting that we want in a bodybuilding show.
Damn idiots!
Beast man Beast.
He is real and true hard worker 😮💪🎂👍🎄 merry Christmas jay today is 31.12.2023 and its sonu leg day.🔥🔥

Crazy that they had a pendulum squat machine for decades before it became known its one of the best machines for quads+

can you please upload if you have training footage of mike mentzer
I have a question? Back then was jay getting steroids through a real doctor or through underground Connect?
Ifbb had doctors for the pros to legally prescribe what they needed 💥
that's so nice that Jay's ex wife helps him at the gym, and she is some quality trim

Jay did it right, where as Ronnie ended up a wreck.

Anybody who is hitting their legs more than once a week is making a mistake

😂😂😂 you don’t believe
@caiquesilva2752 very true, usually low intensity cardio for bodybuilders. Less stress on the body allows you to go harder with resistance training
