I actually spotted Air Belgium's inaugural service to Bonaire! When it touched down and taxied there was a water cannon salute and everything, it was pretty cool! Unfortunately I think it was a charter and was only flown once 💀

As a Belgian, I do NOT claim the airline as the airline of our country. Because it is just operated by the Chinese and Brussels Airlines is just THE Belgian airline. But it is still sad that they are bankrupt. I loved seeing them butter in Brussels and their crazy cargo pilots with the lowest take-off I have ever seen. RIP to Air Belgium
PS: The livery of the 747F is just their old cargo livery, and Hongyuan Group payed for that aircraft so they wanted most of the livery and they were thinking that it was cool to make it look like a cargo box.
0:59 An airline that is from my country (LOT) actually leased an A330 on routes WAW-JFK, but they are returning it in October 2024. A 787 is of LOT is visible at 2:48

Sad how airlines just go bankrupt. Air Belgium, Alitalia, and so much more. My national airline, Air Malta, is going into liquidation due to loss of profit since ~2010, but got worse due to covid. I kinda got over it, but I'll certainly miss the livery and the name.
I still have time to appreciate the airline's last moments since it will be replaced by a new airline on 30/31 March 2024.

I remember they leased their Romanian registered A340 aircraft to Spicejet which they are using for seasonal high demand destinations...Infact i spotted one at Srinagar (SXR) for its Haj travelers...and i don't really know why it had a titles of "Legend Airlines"(never heard of that one 🤣).
Edit:so the aircraft in question did indeed belong to a real airline Legend Airlines...im not sure if Air Belgium sold it to Legend Airlines after it being leased to Spicejet...since both liveries are sort of similar.

I flew over from London to Chicago last week, and I saw the air Belgium flight land about 10 mins after mine, also from London, and I was wondering why Air Belgium was flying that route. This vid explains that so thanks lol

I am from belguim myself (i never flew on this airline) but i was on the kleinebrogel airshow and their was suposed to be an A330 from airbelguim flying over but it dindt come because of the depts.😓

Strange thing but I actually saw an Air Belgium flight on my Flight Radar app just a few days ago in February 2024.
It was an Airbus that Air Belgium used.
And it hadn't come from or was going to any airport in Belgium. 🤔 hmmmm...
It had actually come from Paris CDG.
So thats what a airbus looks like? Also i`m working on plane art on a Lufthansa airliner.
The livery looks so cool but its sad to see how its going. So many beloved airlines like air berlin and others went out of business because of profits.
If they messed up so bad on passengers flights I can’t believe what could happen with cargo flights 💀

Air Belgium was not even a low-cost airline then to seeing this happened is very sad hopefully it continues cargo services. What are your thoughts on this incident?
I actually work at Brussels Airport. the reason that only the tail has the AB livery is because the Hongyuan Group does not have permission to land at Brussels. Hongyuan Group has 49% ownership of Air Belgium.

So. Air Belgium's only A340 now working with Garuda Indonesia serving hajj flight route from KNO (Kualanamu International Airport) to JED (King Abdulaziz Airport) in Saudi Arabia. The A340 itself have Garuda Indonesia's logo but retained the Air Belgium colors.

Air Berlin was also dead like Air Belgium, Air Berlin died to insane bad debt. Even though Etihad tried to save Air Berlin, Air Berlin closed in 2017. RIP Air Berlin and Air Belgium.
