Can’t Find Superfetch In Windows 10 Name Change.
You must have read a lot of tutorials on the Internet suggesting that you disable the Superfetch service if you have your Windows OS installed on an SSD. A few days ago one of our viewers asked a question “I want to disable the Superfetch service but I can’t find it in the list of services. Where is it?” Well… really, In the latest Windows builds Microsoft decided to change the Display Name from Superfetch to Sysmain. You can disable the service if you like especially if you believe that it is the culprit of high CPU usage. So find SysMain, double-click it, select Disable, click Stop and then click OK:
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.

Sneaky bas$*&#s. Superfetch was hogging my disk drive. I mean like! it was pegged out at 100% all the time. Superfetch was supposed to work in the background and to get done what it wanted to do and then stop. But it never stopped. And it wasn't in the background. I think they changed the name just to try to trick us. I just stopped sysmain and my drive light is not on and it's like I have a new computer.

try enabling it. superfetch is designed for hard drives, not for ssd's. if you run windows on an ssd (which most people do and you should as well since its hella fast) then you should disable it. but since you are on an hhd you should enable it. just test it out see if its better

And...when you can't find "SysMain" in services ? Cuz... it's not there either, yet "sysmain" is running and eating 99% of disk drive usage (superfetch needs turned off, for almost everyone, period.)
*edit* after a slight rollback to previous version it showed again - something went wonky with my PC is all, yet another reason I don't trust superfetch, besides slowing my pc to a crawl.

i was looking yesterday for whole day for this problem i found the solution but you have to do it all time ur comp turns on just go to virus & threat protection settings and turn off real time protection it is not permanently disabled but its using 0% of cpu or if u find a way for real time prot to stay disabled all time

You have two catalogs of services in services.msc
*Standard* and *Extended*
Sysmain is in *Standard* catalog
