Quarters probably sold by weight. Would be quicker and closer to silver amount so the "extra" might equal the ware & tare loss.

I've been buying them for investment purposes since they're .999 pure silver but I do love 1934 to 1964 quarters and Morgan silver dollars I just can't get enough of those. Awesome pickup my friend. $120.00 face value of greatness. It is my favorite category in silver by far. I found a local enough LCS (within an hours drive) that sells all 90% for spot price per gram. Last time I went there I bought $11.95 face of all Barber Quarters + dimes, & teens + 1920s Mercury dimes for its actual spot price by weight. If I was paying spot by the dollar face it would have cost me more as I ended up getting almost $2 face for free. Thanks for sharing IS.

I don't think Roosevelt times hold a candle to Older dimes. The silver loss is extremely minimal but the flip is certainly much higher.
I agree to a point 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 However, even with silver loss it’s easy to flip mercs and barbers 🤓🤓

I think Canada made a bunch of silver dollars...80% silver, so about 0.6 troy ounces per coin..perhaps $10.50 in dollars at the moment.
I love junk silver! At my LCS, quarters seem to be my best value. I can get $1.00 face value for $26.00. Halves are about $30.00 for $1.00 face value. Merc dimes are expensive at my LCS, but I can get Roosevelt dimes for about $30.00 for 1$ FV. So, I've been buying up quarters. I only started stacking a short time ago, but I've now got a little over 16oz of silver (and growing weekly).

The walking liberty half dollar and the standing liberty quarter are my 2 favorite coins of all times. Whenever I get a chance to pick up some cheap junk I always due. Nice score by the way. 🤑

Awesome! Two questions: 1) what's you liquidation plan? 2) are you going to move into gold someday?
1. I will continue to hold unless a dramatic increase in price happens, if it does, I will sell (ASE's and Constitutional first) and put it into property (as long as the markets have come down and are not inflated.) Otherwise, ill hold to retirement.
2. I have been getting bits of gold here and there, I have about 2 oz's now. I plan to get a bit more soon... I was originally playing the gold to silver ratio but am going to increase my gold holdings just in case that never comes to fruition.
International Stacker, I guess I should ask what method you will use to liquidate. Personally, I would never sell back to an AP. I’ve been very happy selling on eBay. Just curious if you were planning on using them or another auction site. My advice to you would be to never maintain an emotional attachment to a thing you own. Accept now that everything will go at some point.

First thanks for watching!! It’s more, it’s sold by the face value but the cost is the silver content. This is why back in the day people could buy things for a quarter or dollar, things are not more expensive per se but it’s because silver was removed and it’s backed by nothing and the value of the dollar ya inflated away (hidden Tax). So today $1 face of pre 1965 US Coins go for anything from $11.30 to $14.00 😛😛🤓🤓🤓🤓 Crazy huh? Search on google the value of the dollar since 1916 and the chart will blow your mind 🤓🤓🤓

The problem with stacking silver for the SHTF scenario is there may be no internet, and no UA-cam community of people that would actually know what the difference is to trade with - ha!

that's a decent constitutional pick up. My favorite are the walking lib. and the older quarters (standing and barber)don't make me decide 🧐😳😳😬 but at the monEnT...it would probably be a tie between barber halves and walking liberty halves. For dollars it's also a tie. The V on the Peace Dollar was pretty kick a**.
It's alright they gave you that Fraklin(which are stil interesting looking coins) because that gave you that Barber half(even if cleaned still holds a numismatic premium without having to be a key date)plus that bonus silver also helps

Stackers sometimes mention leaving their silver to their family members, but rarely do I hear them say anything about educating their family members to what their stack actually contains-educating them or leaving a note stating that it’s actually SILVER and not just Coins.
So many estate sales get this wrong labeling a deceased stacker’s hoard as a “coin collection” -“Yeah, uncle WhatsHisFart just liked coins for some reason. Frankly I don’t know what the fascination was. It’s just dirty money. I’ll let you have the whole collection for...say...(10% below face) just to get rid of it.” 🤦🏽♂️

My guess would be constitutional silver when price is low. And buy more premium silver when the price is higher.
