Lovely video as usual , we see many white-tailed deer here in N.W. Ohio USA , many raccoons , rabbits, ground hogs , squirrels , occasional red fox , coyotes , bobcats . muskrats and even beavers and re-introduced otters in swampy areas , many eagles and other raptors as well as cranes , swans and other waterfowl, warblers and other birds . We call those owl pellets here . Also we take pictures of unusual trees , mosses and plants . Don't have any wild boars though although black bears are starting to be seen upon occasion by others but i haven't seen any . Thank you !

A video about wildlife photography shows us your knowledge of the forest. Outstanding! May I say something without offense? In English Deer is 1 animal, and Deer is many animals. it's odd, but Deers is not a thing. It's cute how you say it, but I hope to expand your English language without offending you. I love your videos, especially videos like this where you show us your expertise! I look at that camera and feel like folks that look at my HAM radio for the first time...What the heck is all that stuff!? Love this!

Vanessa, you're looking so much healthier. It's so good to see. I notice it's not just more body weight that you have again, but I notice your eyes look much healthier too. You can see, you look vibrant and have a nice glow about you again.
If you want to learn the non-derogatory word for sh!t when used for animals it's "scat". Sh!t is the cus word we use, not often used when casually talking about animal poop. It sounds out of place when used casually, in English. We use it in English for emphasis (when we want to highlight a word) most often in a slang, bad manner for example "that little sh!t stole my bike!" or "I got so scared, I sh!t my pants" haha. When talking about animal poop, "scat" if the most widely used term in the English language, that or just "poop". You can use the slang, cus word if you want. I'm not criticizing, but it's just that it sounds out of place, in this situation, where you're being informative and educational and not trying to talk slang or "dirty".

@Gary Wilkinson I think the German word Scheiße which is the equivalent to our sh** is used much more frequently and is more socially acceptable. I found it funny to hear children as well as grandmothers using it in the same context as us but without any reservations.

My great great Grandpa Behent Pearson immigrated to America from Germany after Hitler raised hell with inocent people. At the border they changed his last name to Peterson. I absolutely love some of the well made products from my home county, such as Stihl chainsaws, my favorite size is a 460. When l first started being a sawer they were called 046, then changed to 460 and now they are called 461. They are 77 cc. Excellent size for a country boy.

    Hello Vanessa 😀
I just wanted to say something small today. Hunters in NZ say 'deer sign' to signify poo (shit) or rubbing of tree bark or footmark. Anything that is a sign of the presence of that type of animal. To talk specifically about shit we might say droppings.
The word shit is mostly kept for a mild swear word, perhaps to insult someone close, a partner or friend.
Just a tiny review of your English. I hope you don't mind 🙏
Secondly: In the event of a nuclear strike near you, you must escape UP WIND, (the wind blowing at the time) , even 10-20 km beyond the blast center can be enough to escape the fallout. Just when you do it will depend on local conditions. Either
    1) immediately after the blast if its upwind and more than 15 km away and you can go rapidly. Away but not downwind and you can go fast.
Or after 24 or 48 hours if you think you can move to a more survivable location.
Putin might have small, survivable nuclear strikes in mind. Especially if he wants to occupy your country after. Take your pack and your children. Nothing else.
    This is emergency survival.
Your choice but please consider. Putin is desperate

19:44 - Vanessa, I'm an aborist by trade. You got this pretty close to correct. Just the last part, is wrong or you simply couldn't express your thought properly in English. You're right! The tree has a wound and it's very strong and healing itself. However, it's not removing the bark. The bark was removed during it's wound. Now what's happening is, the tree is growing cambium wood or "wound wood" all around the wound and it will eventually, grow completely over the wound and compartmentalize the wound. All that "ripple" looking wood around the wound, will keep growing, closing in, smaller and smaller around the de-barked section until it's completely closed, then eventually as the tree continues to grow, new wood will grow in over the whole thing and you'll never know it's there! The old wound will never actually heal, it will always have that bad section inside the tree, however, depending on the size of the wound and the size of the tree (primarily but with other factor's too) the wound will no longer be harmful to the tree and it will have a full, natural, long lived life, just as if it never got the wound in the first place, in most cases, and based on this tree, I would say will end up being the case for sure.

Birds are cool wildlife. Have you seen any birds that aren't usually in your forest? Here in Calif i've seen orioles, an east coast bird, the last couple years.
Can you set up a bird feeder near your woodsy cabin to snap pictures? Make a homemade feeder. I did once way back ina 70s, w pinecone, peanut butter, and seeds...hung it from my swingset, stood by and watched and watched, yet no birds flew around, haha...
Well, is there a lake nearby you can visit?
    Thanks, vanessa
