Lawrence and Meredith, I know you don’t need to be told this, but your children already have better work, faith and family ethics than most adults. They will shine.
Ditto.
That's how it is on a family farm, you have to work or go hungry in this dog eat dog world of the small family farm being on the decline! We only had a small place but mom & dad had a 1/2 acre garden and we all worked in the field to raise our food because back in the 60s & 70s we bought very little from the grocery store. Maybe flour and sugar & condiments and a few meats but we raised the rest. We canned most all our vegetables from garden and fruits 🍎 🍐 that we grew on trees. Would be nice if more families grew big gardens and raised livestock like they used to. Because first people would be way healthier and Big conglomerate farms wouldn't be pushing the small farms outta business and buying up all the farm Land..... Such as Evil Bill Gates and the Chinese are doing buying all the American farmland as fast as they can buy it up! So Sad, because we need good local small farms growing us grain 🌾, vegetables, & meat to compete with and help keep the big farms from over charging us all. We all should do our part by supporting small local farms in our communities actually across America! But I agree with you the family farm kids are usually the hardest working kids in America. They have to be they're not only trying to survive and keep their farm out of the red - $ but they're doing their part to feed us all. 😊👍🏼
@@CC-Rider4564 I grew up in a family of 8 kids on a VT dairy farm. I understand the large gardens, fruit trees, wild roots, berries and whatever wild game ended up in the stew pot. A big coon properly prepared was amazing. Parboiling it was a stinky thing, but the roasted meat was superb. My Mom handled that. We were poor in coin, but rich in so many ways we didn’t realize. I cherish my childhood memories as the Bernard children will. They’re building a backbone for their future that will include that wonderful home created by their parents through Faith. God Bless them.
You are 100% right!!!
Wesley has grown into a mature young man in a short amount of time that can be a great help around the farm.
Both Wes and Austin can do more than 90% of kids their age these days.
And… the credit to y’all’s kids knowledge and abilities are due to Lawrence and Meredith. You both should be extremely proud.
Gosh your boys working with their dad reminds me of my father and I . Their no place better than the farm to raise a family. Lawrence is a coonhunter and I sure if he has English Coonhounds he has heard of me.
Seeing you all tackle these day to day problems and get them fixed is awesome. Lawrence figures it out and Wesley helps him. Wesley is doing great driving the truck and tractor. Great video. 👍❤️
Lawrence is correct about the long sleeve shirts. I’m 71 years old and have never worn short sleeves. If you pop enough brush you would understand.
Hello Lawrence &Meredith and family all the beautiful animals gorgeous horses. I love it all love watching your family. Thank you for this video.❤
Wholesome,hard working,humble family,godbless you Bernhards.
Prayers for better times ahead.
My grand father always had long sleeves he said did you ever see a cowboy in short sleeves
Your grandfather was right ! I rode horses and cowboyed and rodeoed many years ago and we all had long sleeve shirts. We wore long sleeves whether trail riding, wagon train rides or rodeo-ing. If we got hot 🥵 we rolled up our sleeves but the long sleeve shirt the sleeves absorbs the sweat 💦 and it helps to cool the body when in the hot sun 🌞. Even today 2024 you go to a rodeo or even a working ranch you don't see the cowboys and cowgirls wearing short sleeve western shirts 👕! Yeah they sell them but the long sleeve western shirts way out sell them...... At least when ranchers, ranch hands, cowboys and cowgirls are buying them 😉😊👍🏼
@@CC-Rider4564 Much more effective with low humidity not so much with high humidity.
@@iffykidmn8170 i live in a southern state of high humidity. Yes a Midwestern or Northwestern state of Dry heat and less humidity is always better. But they're still effective in high humidity because the sweat 💦 saturates the sleeves and the wet sweat does keep you cooler. Lawrence is in Southern Virginia there's high humidity there so He like we has gotten used to using the sleeves for the Cooling effect. Now this is for people who's used to being out in the heat of course drinking lots of fluids is important. But someone who is used to Maine's or Alaska's Sub Zero Cold Winters and summers in the 70's and the Highs in the low 80's at most with low humidity it would be a punishment to them! But us southerners are used to it ! If a person don't condition their body's to the heat they couldn't stand to wear long sleeves in the southern summers we have. Just like we couldn't take the cold of Maine or Alaska until we acclimated our bodies to withstand those conditions. Either situation in weather a person lives there long enough they get used to it. A southerner we can withstand the humidity but a Northerner comes here in June, July, August & September their tongues 👅 are hanging out like a dog and they're running for the AC ! 😂🤣
Don't bother us as bad we're used to it, I can handle the humidity I just hate thousands of mosquitoes 🦟 that think I'm candy ! The mosquitoes 🦟 here are big as a song bird 🐦 and can whip a chihuahua 🐕! 😂🤣🤣 That's when the long sleeve also comes in handy in not 🚫 getting eat up by mosquitoes 🦟 as bad.
@@iffykidmn8170 why did my reply to you get erased?
@@iffykidmn8170 Why are you havimg my replies to you erased ? Good grief dont leave replies to people if you're gonna have UA-cam to erase their comments back to you !!!! That Sucks bro, that's Marxist type crap where people think they got a right to free speech but no one else does!!!!!
Mr Lawrence...
You're cute as button when you remember to smile.😉
You guys keep smiling thru the pain or you will go insane
💛♥🤗♥💛
Keeping things frozen on ice put salt on the ice just make sure to put plenty of ice!
You are sure getting a lot of commercials on your videos seems like more than ever. It’s annoying.
Thank you. Blessings
Do either of your kids plan farming when they are older? The other question is why doesn't Wes drive the tractors in the field?
Love seeing you guys work together, you live and learn! Always inspiring to our small farm channel
I am happy for you and your kids can form with their grandpa that is awesome
My dad use to wear long sleeves in the summer also.
Great video Meredith. Seems like there's always something to work on. But if farming was easy everybody would be doing it. Take care and have a blessed and safe day 🙏
I have a dirty hat hack for y’all if you’re interested, it’s born out of all the years working my landscape business. At the end of the day, take your hat into the shower with you and just use regular soap and clean it well. Hang it on the shower head to drip dry and the next morning it will be just like new, and smelling fresh!👍
Hey will try this!
Great idea!!
Hey lawrence thats a great welder ive had mine for 35yrs used several on the job
GOOD JOB!
OMG Wesley, put a new cord on that drill!
Seasoned great northern beans, seasoned sweet cornbread and ice cold milk.😂😂😂👍 Those cheddar brats are better than hotdogs when you cok them on the grill.
Hey Mer! Put more soap it will be fine. God bless
It sure all happens on the farm lol....Im sure you will get it working....Stay safe and see you on the next one
Just a heads up to Wes. As I understand it your intention is an Electrical Engineer. That’s my career and would never want to change. Math is key. Yes there are apps to do calculations, best to know how to do it with pencil and paper. Geometry and trigonometry can be done on a computer but again to be best in the field paper and pencil. All those things that your dad does that you roll your eyes about you will one day say to yourself, I get it now. If you can a job working in the field as an electrician that gives you experience and know how that will give you experience that will give you an advantage over the college only guys. Girls dig electricians and generally are the smartest and brightest trades on site. Electrical engineers and electricians will always be needed your entire lifespan.
Great advice Wesley. Listen to your peers.
And you can switch back and forth between two careers as needed. ~~arcy mcsparky of socal... ;)
Hello there. That solar activated camera. A friend put one up like you did. He said it should have been higher because someone has pinched it.
Hard work creates great character . It gives you confidence to try and do many things you didn't think you could accomplish. Life lessons start early in life !

Pride monkey 🙈 ❤❤❤🎉😅
Awesome video Meredith.
Those old Lincoln welders are great, they were made to last and weld great. I have used one and it was better than most of the new ones.
I really like watching you Guys 🙂
Mr Lawrence is right, long sleeves do keep you cooler and, I hate walking in somewhere they got the air full blast. Wes is like the little engine that could, he's doing well.
If farming was easy, everybody would do it.
Great video!
Hope you got to figure it out thank you for the video
No skin cancer

Love the videos ❤ Have a great day
Why don't you teach Wesly how to operate Rita the Rake.
Vice Grip Garage on you tube, his son is 13 and operates a hay rake.
You could get a break from that and do more home chores.
I was in the hayfield at 5 yrs old and NO wasn't an answer in our vocabulary.
Enjoy your videos.
if all you need gps for is spraying. trimbe 250 will work just fine. for about 750.00 to 1000.00
Power company doesn’t really like even a bird house on their poles.
Your present combine seems to be very dependable compared to the old combine. Your kids show such good initiative and help out a lot. I know you must be very proud of them.
The old one was over 40 years old. This one 25 or so and appears it was well taken care of.
❤
Thanks
Lawrence can I plant wheat 🌾 barley oat together and combine them for feeding
Those old ones are the best sure enough
👍👌❤️🇨🇦,nice stuff
Ravon is a great gps system.
Or even Trimble
😊
Older Lincoln welders are better machines, we're made with copper coils, newer ones are not made that way, aluminum coils which corrode quickly, if it works, your ahead of the game, 😊
And gps can leave you stranded too, theres some quite affordable easy to use systems now
People have some real big nuts coming onto property in stealing stuff our brother-in-law got his barn broken into and they stole all kinds of stuff chainsaws and welders really a bummer that camera looks like it's pretty nice to have does it record Meredith
FYI: if you look on the package of Brotz you will see they add High, fructose, corn, syrup, or dextrose. We don’t need sugar like that in our food. It’s not good for you. Disappointed in Aldi. As it if forbidden in Germany and they are a German company.😡
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Best GPS company I know of is Garmin. You might ask them.
If you want the other side to work, try and swap the the lines to see if it will work....
LB I got an Idealarc 250 Lincoln gas welder\generator you can have if you can use it...
Way too nice to be settin in a buildin not gettin used... Built like a tank
Were you chewing on gum or food 😮😂😂😂
Simple solution, don't watch!
HIS shirt is 100 per cent cotton. IT will keep you cool.
Good afternoon hello 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾🆒🙌🏾🫴🏾👍🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤳🏾🆗👋🏾
Missing Lady ..
I am so upset that someone took something from the farm. I guess it happens everywhere.
Tee jet makes a good gps that’s affordable
Will it record at night?
Did you want to spray tomorrow
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
I thought the other combine was named gurty the one yall sold
This one is Gerty 2.0
A dumb idea to name the new one Gerty 2,0 the first one was junk and bad luck.
@@greghamann2099 What did he expect from a 40 year old machine?
@@lynwessel2471 You get what you pay for. That is true.
We all know that lawrence is both old school and hard headed about your farm, but maybe if you guys would upgrade alot of the worn out ancient machinery, life could be alot calmer. Pretty sure with your connections you could get help from one or more companies.
German sausages are the wurst
Not all wrong at least one of them's got to be right
Hi talk to Zach the Millennial Farmer for GPS he may even have a spare one
He is so light years ahead. His system is the most expensive and the best money can buy. He has barely enough. He constantly swaps them.
Darn...I was so disappointed , cause I was sure you were going to start dancing for the security camera. Maybe next time.
Quit smacking that damn gum how rude
Quit watching!
Groetjes Jan eerste 👍🇧🇪
How beautiful you are, my dear
Onx for gps they will totally Sponcer you.
Love those chomping sounds in my ears.
Same on last video and why I’m stopping the video at 4:20.
👍👍
That arc welder was around when Noah built the Ark. It will out last all of us.
Noah was a welder?
I think Noah only used Gopher wood 🪵 and Pitch AKA: man made tar ! But After one hundred and some years building that Ark Noah probably wished there was welders and steel to have sped up his process 😂🤣.
But I agree the Arc welder has been around a very long time since 1881 or 143 years to be exact & ARC not ARK 😂 is the oldest welding 🥽 procedure for sure. Also im not convinced that any of the other newer ways of welding, Such as Mig and Tig are any stronger than the Arc welding is!!! So you're correct Arc, AKA: The First welding with a stick will be around as long as all the newer wire & gas & rod welding procedures Will be. 😉👍🏼
Long sleeves actually keeps you cooler because your sweat acts as a cooler when it soaks into your shirt. When the air hits you the wet sleeves cool better than short sleeves.
"If the lord willing and the creek don't rise" That's classic.
That is a tombstone welder best welding around i love mine
Great Video Meredith, Good to see the Barley finished, thanks for sharing
Dam right Lincoln Tombstone Welder were great last forever just built to last no tech crap just a transformer weld
Still chomping that gum.
To help prevent theft it may be.a good idea to not to show anything that may be worth stealing on your videos. They probably watch your videos and saw what they wanted to take
That chewing gum in my ear?
Lawrence and Meredith , You both have done a wonderful job home schooling both your children. Also developing a great work ethic and farm skills . Horses are a big passion for all the family. Wesley has the God Given Ability to understand mechanical issues and repairs and from what I've observed Wesley will make a fine professional engineer some day.
Wesley is an amazing young man.
I can't believe you would doubt your dad can you get it on the first time I'm sure he's done that 100 of times
Stay cool,!!!!!!!! 🥵 In west Tennessee,,, But it’s usually hot in the summer, I’ll take it, better than cold!!!
Ok looked up the camera 🎥 and it needs a WiFi connection with SD cards, so what one are you use with no needed other parts, the one in the Dp is a paid plan, I can’t have somthing, the tweekers will steel , and take it or shoot it down lol thanks BigAl California
Good evening Merdie and Family
I had someone pretending to be you messaging me but I knew it was a scammer 😮
Ahh always something. Hope Lawrence and Wesley get it fixed 🙏🙏🙏
Sorry to hear someone stole y’all’s stuff 🙃
Y’all take care Always 🤠❤️😘 Love Y’all
Ravon is a great gps system.
