    The dialing of the gate is such an intense moment. It kept people on the edge of their seat. I love it

    That sound between the "chevron seven locked" and the "kawoosh" is one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.

    Stargate SG1 was a massive success. Good story, amazing actors, it was filmed in a right time where CGI was not too overdone.

      Yeah, especially when you automated a brute-force method using multiple supercomputers and had to MANUALLY decode all of the signal pathways needed to accomplish even THIS much.

    2:05 It seems there was a bit of a power surge. As the wormhole disconnected all the lights in the room got brighter for a split second.

      I think it's just a quirk of the glow post processing, but I'm not sure. It wasn't intentional at any rate.

      That's what I'm having done!! I haven't learned to code proffie but my friend is a wiz with that stuff so I bought a font package for it but the audio track just didn't combine all the elements that I felt gate activation needed.

      there was also the episode with the white painted ken dolls basically and sg1 team thought the oil from the uav was making them sick but the uav messed up a symbiotic relationship between them and the plant's.

      It's just a budget think. Normally the gates move all chevrons. Just like Spacegates have 9 and not 8 chevrons yet in Atlantis S03-05 they have 8 because some animator fucked up and they didn't want to spend money for a new proper anomation

      Interestingly enough, you could spin this as an SG1 budget challenge in addition to simplifying the computers dialing parameters. Playing around with my own 2d design while rewatching sg1. Still a good as ever.

      B, my comment had nothing to do with that. It's literally a complaint about terminology. NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AMOUNT OF CHEVRONS.
      C, I suspect this is because of my use of 'x.' I am aware that X is ten in Roman Numerals, but do you really think I would use it in a comment? It is an x as in a variable. To use your own insult, revisit algebra, dip shit.
      Also, I'm fairly certain that encouraging suicide is illegal. :P

      Oh and D: 7 chevrons isn't a specifically Milky Way address. It's any address within the same galaxy as the outgoing gate.
