I purchased a 2023 Bad Boy Elite 54” last month. I’m 75 on 2 acres nothing really flat, and I added the vertical assist bar and a trac seat. What a comfortable ride and so impressed with this mower.😊
I have a friend down here that runs Bad Boy mowers. He's told me they're good machines. On a different note, it's not normal for a battery to go dead after only a year. Have you had the stator checked to see if it's charging correctly? If not, have it checked. The PTO clutch will drain a battery if the stator is weak. It also could be that the battery isn't big enough. If it's not at least 300 cca's, I would look into upping to more cca's.
No I haven't done nothing. Today is the first start all winter. I let it run for 30 minutes and turned it off and it started back up. Will check it again tomorrow
i like the looks of those machines and they seem to do well. local dealer carries them, spartan and gravely but wont demo anything. i think the best looking mower on the market is spartan but hear they dont cut well
I'm not too happy with my Bad Boy ZT Elite 60" has 150 hrs on it and I have changed the oil & filter twice, due for the third change and have changed the hydraulic and filters twice but it spits and splutters and cuts off when you engage the blad. I've done everything I know to do for it but cannot figure it out. It just don't want to run and I've never had a mower that has done like this Bad Boy has. I'm disgusted with it, bought it at Tractor Supply but they do not work on them!!! Bad Boy, what should I do? 130 hrs and it still looks new and should run like new! I have an Exmark with 3, 950 hours on it and it still cranks and cuts every time.
Sounds like the choke may not be turning all the way off. That's y I don't buy from big box stores they sell you the machine but can't work on them, you may have to find a dealership close to you and see if they can fix the problem. Check air filter too.
@@BomansHomestead83 I've checked the air filter, the gas filter and changed but did not help!!! Bought new plugs today, going to change them but they still look new as well...

Ahh I keep my mower either disconnect the the battery over winter or keep it on a small charge

I mow Hustler due to the factory being right over in Heston Ks. So used Hustler and Badboys are what my buddies normally roll

Yes they are very good mowers. We use it commercially that's why it had 200 hrs. We probably got close to 1k now
