This was not ann early Sherbet song. Sherbet formed in 1969 and this was 1978. They had multiple hits and numerous albums before this. I do believe it was Sherbets last top 10 hit in Australia. Fantastic song and Daryl's vocals are amazing.
I can't get enough of hearing this song on a daily basis. Love it só much. Unfortunattely I can't find The lyrics, since I'm not an English speaker I can't understand some parts of it.
@@lauriekeats8538 Franciscus Henri and Justine Clarke songs are simply wonderful Laurie. Try them since I know you are an underage spud with an IQ below freezing.
its basically about playing in a rock band every night and when the show is over you are still thinking about it.. until you play another show on the road
Ha ha ha....Sherbetgirl, you crack me up. I remember being in Year 9 at high school (form 3!!! LOL) and going nuts to this at the lunchtime 'disco'. There was a running feud between this song and "I was made for loving you" by Kiss..ha ha ha. The Kiss kids all thought they were so tough, but I reckon this song kicked arse, baby!!! I loved it then, and I STILL freak out over it. Oh...please excuse my obscenities further up, by the way. Some people just need a good cussin' ha ha ha....
Oh beldar darling...BRAVO!! Such eloquence...so sophisticated...so educated...Very impressive. Your mama must be sooo proud... One bit of advice, darling....PUNCTUATION....ha ha ha
really is that the song from the Mephistopheles episode where rusty makes the deal with mephistopheles to become good at guitar and this is the one he sings like a ballad.
2023:WHO'S STILL ENJOYING?
Sherbet best song - shame they didn't do more upbeat songs like this !
John M - totally agree
This and magazine Madonna
What a band Sherbet were :) Real Aussie legends!
memories from my primary and high school years yeah

Please keep them coming , love them ... and you are such a sweet heart to do this.
Early Sherbet , oh my god how far they came from this .Long live Aussie music!

Not early Sherbet. And their absolute best, much more advanced and sophisticated than their simply poppy howzat

Like most Sherbet songs the lyrics are trivial and useless bits of doggerel with added musical hooks for oversexed teenage girls.
@@paulmitford5189 Ha ha would love to know what you think is good music. D1cchead.

Best song Sherbert ever did. Sounds like a theme song to a 70s sitcom probably starring Valerie Harper.
love the bubble of the bass .
My favourite Sherbet song of all time. Love Daryl ❤🥰
With you on this!
They were still Sherbet when they released this.
As Highway they only released one single "Heart Get Ready".
My favourite group growing up, Darryl Braithwaite 😍😍😍

HERE
Good song even though they had at least a dozen ones better....great bass work here by mr bass player tony mitchell😁😁😁😁😁
A ACTUAL SONG (Not like songs these days) so sad that it's almost 50 years old.
A actual song?
Yes, an actual song, where a singer sang, you could hear the words and it was good music. Not like the junk of today.
Not so sad, luckily we can still enjoy their music
very good^__^

90% of the budget for this video was spent on the Cadillac limousine :-)
I thought they were called highway on this track
No. Aussie release, Sherbet.
Good song, but could've have been better arranged methinks. Too many moving parts. One of the better bands of the Australian scene in the 70's.
lol then the reverend worships the devil and then jesus comes and leaves
can anyone say gay ?
You should be able to as that is what you are.
