Do you know the exp/hr and cost/hr of using a black salamander in NMZ? Its probably a noob method but it seems super afk and very low cost
I'd say just use a magic shortbow with an avas device if u want cheap
@@SilvenVids I feel like this is a joke but if not, I meant you putthe salamander on scorch mode for magic exp. Its only around 3.5k gp/hr and has an xp/hr around 24k based on some rough calculations I just did.
@@AC-qc8xq Sorry got your comment confused with somebody else's. You can do that but it's pretty low xp. I guess if you leave it for a few hours you'll level up a bit

But rune full helm is abt 200 gp profit per alch though.
Black d'hide body is right now abt 300 gp profit per cast (accdg to alchmate)
@@jepoyburner I get mine 20001 x70-140 every day or so. But a little higher you'd could probably just get them on limit.
i like using string jewlery to get to 94 about 60 clicks an hr and about 140 xp/hr
Yeah that's really good afk xp but it costs around 350-600k per hour (depends on market value ofc) so the trade off for xp/hr is xp/gp which does matter to some people.

is plank make a cheaper method to obtain planks for construction? or is it cheaper to just buy the planks for con?

I’m in bed so I can’t check now but aren’t magic pots super cheap? Use them to boost so u can afk levels so u can afk more levels ;) also careful of Mahog prices too!
@@SilvenVids hadn't even thought of that, a magic pot is dirt cheap and gets me to 87 so that's perfect with preserve, Thanks for the tip man!
So basically, Plank Make is the new Jewelry Enchanting in how afk it is and the next step up from afk Lv4-Enchanting Diamond Bracelets. Pepega.
There's a cash trade off I believe off the top of my head (jewelry is more cash) but Plank Make is just as afk and 50%+ more xp.
30 GP a log is still profit. Diamond Bracelets are basically the same profit.

just a little update, i bought 2 astral runes, 1 nature rune, and 1 mahogany log. i grabbed 1050gp from the bank, totalling my costs at 1985gp. I cast the spell, and sold the mahogany plank. It sold for 1986 gp. I'm making 1gp/cast. 1/90th a gp per xp, not too shabby XD

Sounds like I need to get my mage up so I can do this!! Any advice on how to get it up from 77 to 86? Ik I can burst but it’s hard to get a task that’s burstable.

Sorry for the very late reply!!! But you can train in a very similar fashion with enchanting dragonstone jewelry until 86 or close to 86 and magic pot to 86.
fire surge at pest control with tome of fire is like 130k exp per hour

Yes, but just check the profit margins. It looks like you can make about 1-2gp/xp currently. Which is better than losing a whole lot of money, again it just fills a niche, whether you want to use that niche is up to you.

i burst in mm2 cave and i can afk until the monkeys loose aggro. use dragonbone necklace so i dont have to drink pray pots. i get over 200k just sitting there only having to run back and forth for aggro reset. its not cheap tho
That's why i tried to explain how there's such a giant variance between different barrage/burst methods that it was just a placeholder number to give an idea of the difference. Plank Make fills a similar, but still different, niche. AFK, decent xp and cost efficient. Which is perfect for those who don't have the time to make the gold for when they want to AFK burst/barrage.
But if you do have the time to I'd highly recommend doing what you do haha.

And Bursting is better exp and gp/xp.
I explained in the video why Make Plank fills a niche of good gp/xp and afk that other methods do not.

your barrage rates are off, you can literally AFK 10 minutes, so it's more like 30 clicks/hour (assuming MM2 tunnels)
In the video I address this because barrage/burst have giant variance depending on gear and stats it can go anywhere from 3gp/xp - 9 and 200kxp/hr - 400. So I picked something near the middle just as an example (only as an example not a definite number) and these rates are high activity, not afk. You lose a lot of xp/hr and gp/xp when you don't stack them properly so you can't have the super high rates + afk. Regardless, even saying most of this it still has the high cost attached to it when you try it completely AFK like you said, so it won't match up.
But it's up to you to decide where you take the hit it in terms of resources. The less people have time to play the more incentive they have to do the methods that are more afk and cheaper while the more you have to play the more incentive you have to do a money making method for a few hours then do the fastest and most expensive methods.
@@SilvenVids fair enough yeah, well the thing is, you don't need to stack the monkeys for decent xp. I bursted my zerker from 70-99 magic at mm2 fully afk without 2 alts, and was still getting 240k mage xp/h, however yeah if you stack it's a bit higher.
@@SilvenVids I like to consider magic as a similar construct skill that I'm supposed to spend a shit ton of money on to level up quickly. Cause imo if I can get out a grind out early I can have more fun later than if I keep afking it for days maybe. But yeah you can def use this while in work or smth.
@@tubax926 I'm planning on making a video about this specifically actually but what it boils down to is managing the resources you have control over.
Gold, exp and time are what most people know as your main resources but you also have to take into account: attention, motivation and, of course, fun. So somebody like yourself may have an abundance of time and gold while others may lack that, they may only have time with respect to low attention and no gold to throw around so they'd have to use other methods to hit the same goal.
@@SilvenVids I mean if you're gonna do something that takes attention you're gonna have fun most likely, and if you're going to afk you're going to do it at work or something, and if it's mildly attentive like agility you're gonna do it while watching a movie. And if you have 87+magic you probably have a lot of gold or are able to make lots easily. And bursting in mm2 caves is pretty afk too.

Alching isn't afk but if you're doing something like agility alching is better because you don't have to bank.
Also I'd rather alch myself than alch till burst again ;)

This one wasn't a guide but I definitely understand it's not the same as my normal content. There was an update with a new method and I thought I'd let everybody know the comparison to other methods so they can see how good it was for themselves. I appreciate your support for my other videos though
Hahahaha 3 weeks before this update I finished doing 86-99 plank making. I made money with this method, update changed the prices so I got lucky 😂

@@chrisneedham4871 hey, honestly you just gotta price it all out. Astrals, nats, mahogany logs (factor in gp cost to make the plank) And sell price for mahogany planks. Im pretty sure you lose money right now.

Hopefully it stays for at least a bit. Even then 90k/hr is still insanely good for the amount of clicks, I could see it being worth up until a cost of 5 or 6gp/xp purely due to that.
Likely will become negative gp/xp in the short term as people crowd the market. Long term the profit margins might shrink a bit but I’d expect no one to do the method at gp loss so it should stabilize at some level of profitability.
Or most everyone ignores this in favor of ehp and we see no significant change.
@@krantz7 Yeah this. Last night they jumped 65gp ea and then dropped 10 this morning. Planks went up 20gp or so each too so its about 45 change so .1gp/xp currently and it's likely to move slightly into profit this week. Unless more people pick it up.
I made 400k xp/h high intensity with roughly 600k profit per hour. Sorry I wont say how but its not hard to figure out.
Also afk enchanting dragonstone jewelry is similar xp/h and makes profit and has a low magic requirement.
We're not talking about high intensity clicking here it's not relevant, the idea is something you can click a few times every 3 minutes while you're at the gym or work or something that doesn't drain your bank. So while yes your dragonstone method is known and similar, Plank Make is 50% more exp and makes profit too. That's the trade off you have to make with everything.
Plank Make is now the best AFK exp that still makes profit since the update.
