Just catching up on your reports think you made the right call in this one it was only going one way. Also i apreciate Andrews ruhbarbedwire fence joke 😂
Andrew, you're a lot more chipper and positive with your dice now which is good to see! Don't think i heard any of the 'Andrew dice rolling sighs' in this one!😏
I routinely struggle to put together KD lists that I could feel confident running. As Steve mentioned at the beginning, “Little bit of an uphill battle.” Should be the name of their Army Bonus.
They definitely CAN do well- got second at Nova! But boy they always just seem good "on paper" to me. Shame cause I really love them. Hoping the new edition gives them some love.
@@NowForWrathGaming This is true! Maybe it’s a scale thing? I was going to say, they excel in Killy scenarios and there really aren’t enough of them. But you just played Assassination and boom! No Cav No Spears No Magic That’s a lot to overcome.
@@Competentetyler Andrew and I are both thinking dwarves and elves bromance is a thing- expensive troops but strong! But yeah, they have a lot of strengths but a lot of weaknesses. There's too many lists with diminished weaknesses and similar strengths that it leaves KD sorta feeling lackluster still.
There is something wrong with this playlist. Doesn't matter how much I refresh, still not getting new videos. Guys, can you check that your camera is working and turned on?
Haha we're working on it! We'll have a chatty video this week and then a batrep next week. Been busy times and we're saving some of our strength for the new edition, but we've got a few in the hopper that just need editing!
So, Andrew (the guy who won) here, and I think it's probably more "competitive" to insist on finishing a game that's definitely over just to find out how many victory points I can scrape out of it, than it is to just say "yeah we get it, I won, we can enjoy the rest of our day now". In a friendly game, I don't have a ton of fun continuing to slaughter my opponent after I've already clearly won, so I don't see a lot of reason to play it out. Now I get that the VIEWER might want to see it play out, and that's fair, but I can assure you that I wouldn't be "enjoying my victory" if we had continued to play this one out. I won, that's cool, I don't need to keep cleaning up dwarves and watch my opponent pull models off the board. I don't get any satisfaction out of that outside of maybe a tournament where I'm playing for the podium. But we do talk about this and whether or not we should play these things out for the viewer's sake. But in the end, we're just two guys having fun recording our games, and we don't really want to kill an hour wrapping up a not-super-fun game. We'll often play a turn or two more than we would if there were no cameras around, but that's about all. They can't all be compelling nailbiters, and this wasn't going to become one if we kept playing, so we decided to call it, and I think we'll stick with that philosophy going forward. We have jobs and lives and this is just a fun project, so I don't think we're going to do something unfun for the sake of our little channel, even if the channel is important to us. It's all about having fun and bringing people in to join in on the fun, but us having fun is top priority, and we had all the fun we could with this one. Hope that's understandable! Most games aren't like this one, but it was totally over. We'll think about disclaimer or something for future games that end abnormally early so you can just skip it if that's not to your liking.
Steven here! (Guy who got destroyed). Andrew and I have been playing together for many many wonderful years now. We allow each other plenty of grace- mostly grace in victory! Appreciate the comment, but I assure you there were no hard feelings here on either part- just cold logic and valuing each other's time :)
Glad to see an Aragorn Elessar game! Thanks for the content guys keep it up, love the channel!
Thanks, glad you enjoy the channel!
Hail Andrew!

Andrew's pretty funny, but I'd never say that to his face. -S

Haha, not much to sigh about in this one.

That’s a lot to overcome.

@@NowForWrathGaming Looking forward to it! I might even buy a mini or two... hundred.

Rhubarb gin is good
Finish your games boi be gracious and let your opponent enjoy their victory. No need to be so competitive in a Lil battle report.
