For someone who gives back to so many people you definitely deserve it.
mdmejia67 amen my friend
Marty is a legend
Hard to not like Marty. I know that because I don't like many people but like a dog I can sense a decent one!
Agree with mdmejia67. Marty is giving guy, good for him
Super dooper Wowza Marty :)
huge thanks to Gibson and all my students for making my dreams come true! I've got the best job in the world and now I've got the best guitar! stick around to the end
Here I am loving my tokia love rocks LP and legacy 335 copies. I'm yet to even play a real Gibson.
Congrats Marty! Happy for you bud!
You are the man Marty! I am so happy for you!
Hope you read this Marty..
Thank you man...
The songs you've taught me have been played again and again at gigs..
You are a very good and generous man...
Thank you.
Congrats Marty!! That’s awesome! You so deserve it! Thanks for all the help with guitar over the years!
10:19 Me coming into a guitar store and suddenly forgetting how to play guitar.
Tell me about it LMAO 🤣
everyone knows hes no Vito bratta-- nice guy tho
The man teaching MILLIONS how to play these legendary songs.
He deserves that guitar more than anyone.
You totally deserve it, Marty. You've given so much joy to millions of people.
thank you!
I was thinking exactly the same. In my opinion Gibson came quite late with this offer! But at the end they did it... So: I can't blame them for it, and I will keep on buying Gibsons! That's not going to make a big difference for them though... Haha. This is a great deal for both Marty as Gibson! Congratulations with your new baby!
Marty Music much deserved, you started me soloing 10 years ago and I play classic country, many thanks 👌🏻🎸🇸🇴🦅
Agree
Stole
It’s a good feeling knowing that the person who helped me learn many songs get his favorite beautiful guitar.
Christian Ponce exactly what I was going to say 👌🏻😉 he deserves it.
Definitely i use to watch jam session and Marty videos everyday with my brother but then he moved out don't really see him anymore 😔
He earned that fedora.
Yeah
Christian Ponce idk how u like he’s tutorials they are so hard to understand and he rushes the tutorials
Marty is The Godfather of an entire generation of guitar players! I think it’s safe to say that there’s plenty of music we wouldn’t have today if it wasn’t for Marty! He’s been teaching and inspiring us for years! No one deserves this more than him!
So cool to see the whole process and felt good to see them give you that guitar, way to go Marty and Gibson!
thanks Laura!
@@MartyMusic FYI, I think there's someone spoofing your profile. Had someone with your pic reply to a message with the tag "Marty Musicc"

Man, binding a guitar seems like such a pain in the ass. A lot of respect for the folks that do this all day.
much respect for the chinese epiphone workers fr
Rey they don’t bind them by hand in the Chinese factories
nah, its fun
When looking at material for a guitar:
Nobody:
Marty: CaN i sMeLL iT?
SNIFF it
😂
smell = good quality wood
LMAO I love guitars! Thanks to my dad he got me two guitars two years ago. I've played on and off for 10 years. I'm glad he found himself another Job and I wish he would take his health more seriously 😔
My Guitar had a distinctive scent when I got it, still has it 5 years later
I'm gonna echo what so many here have said: Congrats man. You richly deserve this for all of the great work you do helping others learn to play. God bless and enjoy your new axe!
I appreciate that!
I want a girl to look at me the way marty looks at that guitar
That would be heaven... a stairway to heaven 😈
So u want to be which type of guitar?Les Paul,Strat or Tele or more???
now i cant not look at his eyes
easy bruh, win the lotto and your off to the races... even if you look like Jabba the hut
Could not have happened to a nicer guy. Payback for all the hundreds of hours of free knowledge and tuition you have shared with me and thousands of other aspiring guitarists, congratulations Marty, and well done Gibson. Superb.
Hey I'm a pretty fucking nice guy as well. Oh, you said nicer guy, ok then. lol You are absolutely right, he deserves it.
Marty is such a humble guy. You can just tell how much he appreciated everything.
You could tell he was surprised and humbled by the gift. What a cool video.
You deserve it. My child just started playing 2 months ago. I taght him his firstc5 chords and the first pentatonc scale. But he has learned 10 songs from startcto finsh. He said you are the best guitar teacher ever. Thank you! My son is going to make it.
I feel a bit sad for Marty’s famous old Heritage 335. I hope it doesn’t get upset when Marty brings this hot young thing home with him.
I'm very happy with my new guitar
Nah, he won't disrespect Ethel when he brings Maria to her new home, right Marty? ;-)
I call his Heritage, “God’s armchair” because it looks like it was made from it. I love that guitar.
He’s clowning. Don’t be a bot.
@@MartyMusic that is so great well deserved so much advertisement for Gibson I wonder how different epiphones are made
If there was ever anybody who deserves such a beautiful guitar it’s this dude for all the time and effort he’s put into the guitar community. Thanks Marty, awesome guitar for an awesome dude
You deserve it, brother. You've helped people just starting learn from scratch and also helped pro's brush up on techniques and learn new songs. Shit, that almost makes me cry lol. Well deserved!
Aside from just being very close to what I would consider the Bob Ross of guitar you are an outstanding person for teaching us what we love for almost nothing. Congratulations you totally deserve it Marty. I know this post is 2 years old but oh well it doesn't hurt to ask hey Gibson where's my dream guitar? If you want my resume feel free to ask.
Wow, thanks!
Couldn’t happen to a better dude. Seriously the gold standard on UA-cam.
Marty deserves it for teaching millions how to jam out👌🏼
I Absolutely love seeing karma working it's magic.
Marty deserves it. Countless hours of videos to us for free, thousands of players he's helped learn songs. Well deserved.
You deserve it brother, you've reached so many people with your UA-cam lessons. We all owe you.
Congratulations Marty, never has a more decent person with a genuine love for music and guitar deserved to be gifted a beautiful instrument like this.
Well done to Gibson for recognising what Marty does in helping the next generation of musicians as well. You make works of art! (One day I will own one haha)
Only thing Gibson recognised is that Marty's channel is a lot more popular than theirs. I hope Marty has charged Gibson accordingly for tying themselves to his brand.
I always noticed Gibson have a particular smell. Is it the glue or the lacquer?
It's rich old men.
Maple James kinky

Wow this brings tears to my eyes man. I’m a true musician and no one had more passion about music and making music with a 6 sting than I do. And I know that you are even more passionate than me when it comes to guitar. So to see you get that guitar and not know how to react was amazing. I know exactly what you just to have been feeling. To take the tour, to have your followers with you on UA-cam that tube created, and than gave that guitar all while filming is just a great thing all together. You deserve it. I love seeing people get what they deserve. So many musicians music falls on deff ears. You’re making your dream happen and it’s a honor to be a witness to it all happen. Much love Marty. From Lost creek Alabama. - Royce.
would be interesting to see all the science behind the timings of pressing, and the physics of allowing the wood to set after high temperatures.
you deserve this more than anyone marty! you helped me strum my first songs which filled a massive void in my life. God bless
I'm gonna pull up to the Gibson factory or whatever in Nashville and just stand outside till they give me a free guitar
been there. that didn't seem to work for ME!
I got arrested for loitering doing that. LOL
If I didn't buy a bunch of low end guitars, then I could possibly have two really high-end guitars. But I had no idea what I was doing when I first started playing. I've owned no joke, 9 electric guitars, all under 500$. What a fool. I've tried finding someone that will trade 5 guitars (all in perfect or near perfect condition) for one American telecaster from any year, any cosmetic condition as long as it sounds decent or a really new MiM Tele. But no luck.
@@the_original_Bilb_Ono dude. I own low ends and high ends guitars. If your setup is good... you cant tell the difference. These Guitars are expensive but Gibson has a shocking QC...
@@aledantas2k10 I disagree that you can't typically tell the difference. Of course there are horrible expensive guitars and amazing guitars for a lower price. They can be a hit and miss, but guitars made in China is much more often a miss rather than a hit. The one thing that I am very good at is setting up guitars. But I have bought guitars online that are literally dysfunctional or virtually unplayable out of the box - you'd pretty much have to remake the guitar groundup to get it up to the standards of a typical player. Sent back they go.
I own an acoustic 6 string hand made in canada that I've seen sell for 1600 on reverb.. but regardless of its price, you can REALLY tell the difference when you grab my cheap (but lovable and tough) acoustic Washburn immediately after you've played the high end one. Of course acoustic is another world into itself. But I'll admit my favorite electric is either
- my Sqiuer fat strat that I've modded every single part of, except the body and neck wood itself. But its for personal reasons. 200$ I think, plus a bunch more in american fender and 3rd party upgrades.
- and as far as sound and feel. I would say my Danelectro 59M 6 string hollow body with the lipstick pickups. That thing was like 400- 500ish? Basically a middle low-range price.. And they are AMAZING for its price. If I buy another guitar it will probably be another Danelectro. Probably a baritone.
Sorry for the book long comment. I wouldn't blame you if you dont read it. I'm away from home and wanna go play guitar right now so bad. Lol I'm jonesing.
When I started getting into playing guitar 11 years ago you were the first guy I watched for basic guitar chords, after that I eventually started teaching myself by ear, and now I have and endless arsenal of scales and crazy chords I made up to fit those scales. Now I’m in a band playing bass doing lead vocals. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if it wasn’t for you. So I deeply appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. You deserve every bit of what you have now with UA-cam! Keep on rockin’!!

This man taught me how to play guitar, and honestly inspired me to play as much slash inspired me wtf 💀 thank you 💯

kudos to Gibson for being so generous!! CONGRATS, Marty!!
Gibson being generous..??????

That’s so cool… they recognize the influence that you have on people from beginning to play… to people that are looking for THAT elusive song…. Or just someone to play along with… 😉
Congratulations Marty! There's nothing like being in the delivery room with your brand new baby!
you forgot to show the step where they violently break off the headstock before shipping
Lmao
Haha.
But the reason for that actually is because the headstock and guitar are level when you set it down, downward pressure on the neck will break off the headstock.
I get that it’s a joke and I think it’s funny I’m just saying
No, that step is reserved for YOU to do!
Just the Gibson fold-o-matic headstock at work
That happend to my very first acoustic guitar , hurt me some id never bean hurt before
I literally picked up a guitar again, after high-school in my late 20s because of your lessons. I also bought les paul and strat because I learnt how to play a bit thanks to you and you using those guitars a lot. Getting this experience and a guitar is the least of what you deserve for inspiring millions of people to pick up that guitar and strum a few chords, Marty. Thank you!
Marty! You’re one of my favorite online instructors. Your courses have helped me develop more playing skills I thought I was capable of. So awesome to watch this video and see them hook you up with a sweet sweet guitar.
When the ES models were made in Memphis, I toured the factory in 2006. I left with an ES-175. Then in 2008, I left Memphis with a cherry ES-335. I know that feeling my friend... even though I purchased mine from the factory, knowing that they were not shipped or handled by music store folks was a thrill for my playing journey! Enjoy!
11:38 just got his dream guitar and he's still thinking about content for us , you're awesome dude
well it was probably some sort of promotion deal
Fantastic Marty! You so deserve it. Even though I don’t personally know you, you are are top instructor, and are a top man too. I’m so chuffed for you. Very well done to Gibson too, for giving back, when they really didn’t need too! 👏👏👏👏👏 😀
Marty, you’re a good dude. I just recently picked up my guitar (technically got it back) for the first time in 5 years, so I’m back to beginner. The knowledge is there and it’s just getting my callouses back and my stretches. I’ve been using your lessons a lot. My friend who has since passed bought me my guitar, and it’s the reason I stay away from drugs and booze. Thank you man, and enjoy your dream rig!
so good to see you being appreciated by gibson, many many years ago Ive learned my first basics of guitar playing from your channel and ive never stopped making music. playing guitar has been a big part of my life ever since and you got me the perfect start for it, I will forever be grateful! much love marty, youre the best!
Well done Gibson. Well done. Things like this erase a lot of negativity.
So a company giving a product as payment for advertising erase negative actions? Cmon bru don’t be a sheep
Bro, this is pure PR and Marketing. I'm happy that Marty got that guitar, because I like him, but don't be a sheep. This is a commercial that erase nothing from all the bulls!t they made the last decade (and I'm a Gibson-Guy). Instead of UA-cam-Marketing they should buy their employees masks to protect their health 7:08 ! This is just a really cheap commercial for Gibson. Don't fall for it.
@@JohnnyBargeldBoom This. Yes I'm happy for Marty to get his dream guitar. Still doesn't erase their past. I have learned a lot of songs thanks to Marty. #neverbuygibson lol
Gibson is a company owned by a corporation. Not musicians I’m surprised they didn’t try to sue the guy for saying Gibson in this video. Awful company can’t wait till they claim bankruptcy again after all the lawsuits don’t work out and they can stop selling mediocre guitars to old guys for 4000$ plus
@@TravsTravels13 How many times have they filed for bankruptcy already? They are too iconic of a brand for them to go away. Another company will buy them and a whole new era will start. Gibson will never leave the market. Same as Fender.
Another milestone I'd say for you! That is a dream come true without a doubt, I am really happy for ye!
Man this is so wholesome. Can't imagine the feeling of being gifted your favourite guitar after watching it being made. You deserve it marty!
Great to see someone so deserving and grateful get this gift. In a world where nice guys often finish last, its great to see you doing so well, being rewarded and bringing happiness and music to people everywhere. Top man marty.
Its great when a teacher who legit cares gets cared for!
You taught me how to play the guitar, When i was a beginner! You deserve it of all people!
Congrats man. Just catching up on your channel. That's so great that you got your dream rig. Looking forward to hearing it!
This was a truly wonderful video. It's great to see such a passionate public player visit his dream guitar factory, and enjoy the crastmanship and skills that all the workers put in to the product.... and then whamo! He is lucky enough for Gibson to present him with a guitar! So fantastic! Thanks for posting this and bringing home the reality of UA-cam and real people in the world. Cheers.

Shouldn’t the person spraying the guitar be wearing a respirator or, at the very least, a mask?

No supplied aprons or overalls apart from Gary. I might be wrong but something felt wrong & sloppy about the whole thing. like a really bad vibe coming off the shop floor.
