oh!!!!! The whole virtual experience gave me chills. And then getting the guitar! Pretty freakin' awesome.
TR Filbin ikr what an experience 🙃
@@aly6807 I'd probably be hyperventilating if I was handed a 335. ;-P
TR Filbin me too bro!! Meeting Marty I would hyperventilate even more so though lol 😂 💀💀🖤that sounds silly and dramatic Ik lol 😂
I got the chills when he played the E chord hahah
You deserve it. You help a lot of people enjoy their guitars!
From blues to jazz to rock, there’s just no substitute for the vibrant tone and supreme playing comfort of the Gibson ES-335.
It’s also my dream guitar!
Marty deserves so many guitars. The man taught so many kids how to play
Seeing the birth of YOUR guitar is so unreal!!! Props to gibson for letting you have this opportunity congrats👌👌👏👏🎉
That means that you can now surprise me with your old guitar! Yay!
Or me
Or Marty, maybe you could consider a a raffle for your old Gibson and donate the proceeds to the cause of your choice ?
@@nopnj probably has sentimental value to him. Hes had that guitar for awhile now. Idk if it's the same one but I think he had it on the old tutorial channel before he made this channel. I may be mistaken though..
Or me
You deserve it brother, you've reached so many people with your UA-cam lessons. We all owe you.
That is so cool! Couldn't happen to a better member of the guitar family. Glad to see this.
"Can I sniff it??? Smells like... Teen Spirit!!""
Yesss nirvana I love them
@@Anzac1 Is your head feeling better
good one😂
Except... Smells like Teen Spirit was played on a Fender
Yes
Shouldn’t the person spraying the guitar be wearing a respirator or, at the very least, a mask?
@Fuzzy Butkus lmao
Was thinking the same thing..
No supplied aprons or overalls apart from Gary. I might be wrong but something felt wrong & sloppy about the whole thing. like a really bad vibe coming off the shop floor.
no need for mask, the paint booth evacuation fan system is pulling the fumes into the filters away from the painter.. its a must have OSHA standard or they cant paint, PERIOD!
@Fuzzy Butkus Fender beat them to the punch
would be interesting to see all the science behind the timings of pressing, and the physics of allowing the wood to set after high temperatures.
you deserve this more than anyone marty! you helped me strum my first songs which filled a massive void in my life. God bless
So happy for you Marty, I'm French and your "hey what's up you guys" always put a smile on my face. Keep rocking mate !
Awesome sauce man. You deserve it for how much you've helped so many learn. You've been my go to guy for 14 years now since I first started playing. Happy for you man and I'm super jelly about that guitar. Keep trucking on man.
Hey my first Marty reaction. I'm blessed to have your vids man. As I said man keep trucking.
So happy to see you have an experience like this, Marty!! We Love ya so much and there’s really no words for what you’ve done for so many people. I’ve been playing guitar for 3 years now and have been watching your vids since day one. So thank you, Marty! For all that you do for this community :) It’s pretty dang cool. Beautiful Gibson!!
Thank you for sharing! This really put a smile on my face to see the joy of your experience. It's like a kid in a candy store! I am a proud owner of a 1967 Gibson ES-335 in Sunburst in which I bought when I was 17 years old. So, do the math it's basically 56 years old. Still plays like brand new and it never lost its flair! Thanks for all you do for us out here! Keep up the great work! JP
No matter what anybody thinks of Gibson, thats a fantastic looking guitar and the skill of the workers (even though they look miserable in this video) is incredible. Great video and great that Gibson is opening up and showing how they guitars are made.
that is a beauty, the off-white/yellowish binding, perfect. Gibson does make BEAUTIFUL guitars.
Marty, you’re a good dude. I just recently picked up my guitar (technically got it back) for the first time in 5 years, so I’m back to beginner. The knowledge is there and it’s just getting my callouses back and my stretches. I’ve been using your lessons a lot. My friend who has since passed bought me my guitar, and it’s the reason I stay away from drugs and booze. Thank you man, and enjoy your dream rig!
29 years old and I’m just starting this journey. Your videos are a huge help. And what an amazing experience!!
I think that I have something in my eye...Such a great honor, congrats Marty, well deserved.
I grew up learning songs with Marty, and it’s amazing to see he’s still holding the guitar
There is a saying, " you reap what you sow" I literally felt your heart going crazy just like the way I felt when I first learned " sweet child of mine " from you man! Thanks for being you, you deserved it!
Man this is so wholesome. Can't imagine the feeling of being gifted your favourite guitar after watching it being made. You deserve it marty!
When the ES models were made in Memphis, I toured the factory in 2006. I left with an ES-175. Then in 2008, I left Memphis with a cherry ES-335. I know that feeling my friend... even though I purchased mine from the factory, knowing that they were not shipped or handled by music store folks was a thrill for my playing journey! Enjoy!
Gibson presented this guitar on behalf of all the people that Marty taught and inspired to pick up a guitar and play!!
This man taught me how to play guitar, and honestly inspired me to play as much slash inspired me wtf 💀 thank you 💯
I am very happy for you. Thank you so much for teaching me guitar! I didn't play for 20 years after my husband who was a very good quitar player died but because of you I got so excited to learn to play all the songs I love that I bought a new quitar and now I can't stop practising and playing!
I've been watching since my teenage years and the change in quality is superb. Great video as always.
That’s so cool… they recognize the influence that you have on people from beginning to play… to people that are looking for THAT elusive song…. Or just someone to play along with… 😉
This guy deserve it. Thank you for been amazing teacher for millions of students all around the world. We love you so much!. Thank you Gibson for recognition!
2 years later and definitely have seen that guitar a lot😎. One of the coolest dudes I’ve ever seen and coolest video ever
This is really cool. Seeing your guitar being made, from start to finish. Then, owning it. Unreal.
Yes! You have to be a musician or at least a Gibson fan to truly grasp this moment! I would have cried, I meant died, died I said! lol
Marty is such a hard working guitarrist, he deserves only the best
That's great. I ordered one from MF back in August 2019 and now date keeps getting pushed most recently to June 2020. They say Gibson's really behind (Since the move from Memphis to Nashville). Glad you were able to get one.
Yeah I thought that the good Gibson ES335 were made in Memphis ??
I've been lucky enough to own a 1977 Gibson E335 guitar, same finish as the one in the video for over 30 years now. I absolutely love that Guitar. I so wish I could add a Les Paul to my collection. So glad you got to experience the making of one. Love your videos.
I just want someone to look at me the way Marty looked at that guitar being made.
Shane lol 😂💀🤣
And sniff you?
@@justpassingthrooo3505 My dogs kind of do that....especially the sniffing to see if I've been cheating on them!
Congratulations Marty! There's nothing like being in the delivery room with your brand new baby!
As other people have said, you deserve it Marty for helping so many people learn guitar. Your videos have helped me so much since I started learning how to play🎸
Awesomeness!!! Thanks, Marty for taking us along with you to experience this magical moment. What an honor at the end of the tour for them to present you with the very Gibson guitar that you walked through the birthing/manufacturing process. Marty, you gave me goosebumps on this one brother! Congrats Sir, you deserve it. Kudos to Gibson Guitar!
the guy who neck fits the guitar, his name is steve. hes a really nice guy. taught me everything i know
What does that mean? Everything you know about guitars or literally everything lol
mw everything
@@maxwesmont all of it
you are a blessed man to know someone who has such an great eye and hands to fit the most beautiful guitar necks in place. Tell him Wolfgang from Vienna says hi and he is doing a great job!
@@maxwesmont I'm sure he meant everything! Like, how birds nest and where the next McDonald's is etc.
This guy has given the gift of music to many of us beginners FOR FREE for years. I am so incredibly happy for you! You deserve it!
Absolutely no one on this whole planet Earth could have deserved that guitar better than Marty. Very wise gift, Gibson! Why, I'm itching to buy one already...
Beautiful gesture by the Gibson team. Congratulations, Marty. Look after this new baby of yours and enjoy!
Marty! You’re one of my favorite online instructors. Your courses have helped me develop more playing skills I thought I was capable of. So awesome to watch this video and see them hook you up with a sweet sweet guitar.
Marty I'm about a year late but from what I've seen you are totally deserving..I am 46 years old, from Montreal, Québec, Canada & I promise you I'm gonna be 1 of your best student's..
Gibson has my many of monies because of Marty and his great lessons. Thank you Marty and the fine craftspeople at Gibson. Really appreciate it.

OK. You had to cross the line! Fine craftsmanship? Ha
Honestly one of the coolest guitar vids I’ve ever seen. So cool to go through the whole process and see how its made from start to finish and so cool to see them gift it to you at the end! And that guitar is SWEEEEEEET
If anyone deserves a gift like that, it's you! Thanks for teaching me how to play!!!
Marty I feel like I enjoyed this as much as you did
That’s so cool, you deserve it. Gibson has got a a few points back from me, and my favourite model.
I have been playing for 30 years and I have learned so much following your channel this year. I can’t believe how much my playing has evolved. Thanks..........
Couldn’t have happened to a better person. Thank you for being you Marty!
Although Gibson's are incredibly expensive, this shows someone the craftsmanship that goes into making a Gibson, or any guitar. Gibson seems like it is one big family and they all seem very genuine. Loved the video Marty, make more videos like this!
I cant bealive they make on that fast
This is the coolest! Congratulations! You earned this! Thank you for being the best damn guitar teacher on the web!! Don’t give this job up! You make me want to pick my guitar up everyday. Might sound stupid to some but it’s the best medicine I found for my soul!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
I agree with everything you said
Lenni Willett true dat! Marty casually saving lives and doesn’t even know it. Lol now that’s a superhero 🦸♂️
They'd have had to shut off the camera for a good long while, there, 'cos I'd be bawling and shaking. Damn, man, what a gift. WHAT A GIFT! Good on Gibson, and Marty you deserve it.
