I quickly learned that to get the latch to release when you're actually wearing the belt, you need to pull it just a bit tighter while flipping the lever. Failure to do so will result in you being trapped in your pants forever.

I bought my first ratcheting belt 4 years ago I wear it every days and it only started recently to crack along the leather. The 2 main problems that I encountered since, like, 2 years with it is the little spikes. They can grows the holes bigger and so the head of the belt can sometimes fall. And the other problem is the magnet that hold the belt in lock position. Sometimes (when you loosen the belt) it tend to exit it emplacement and move underneath the lock mechanism. When it happens you can't tightened the belt, you have to put back the magnet with a knives or a toothpick.
i was thinking about buying one. i have been punching extra holes in between the existing holes of my belt and find that worked perfectly for years.

Had mine for 8yrs. Replaced the leather twice. At the end it was the spring that failed. Still trying to fix it.
My dad just tried his on for the first time and was YELLING for me to come help him. He couldn’t get it to release 😂. He had a knife in his hand ready to start cutting it 🤣.

@@pratikgaikwad7472 i know how to use it, but i dont think it is a good design. It is an overcomplication over the traditional belt design and it adds nothing. What exactly do you gain from using this belt buckle design over a traditional one? If it offered some sort of benefit i would say "wow it is such a good design!" but since it does not offer anything other than a bothersome alternative to already existing buckles, i cant really say anything other than it is designed pretty terribly. Specially if you consider the fact that it is somehow unintuitive enough for most of the human population to require a tutorial to unbuckle their belts.
