Camera lady is just a pro at this point, ready to go into the jungle with Sir. David Attenborough.
Much love to both.❤
If all roaches were this beautiful I'm sure roaches would be less hated.
Most roaches are just as if not more so beautiful than these guys
Cappp if you see some rainbow roaches in your lucky charms your gonna hate them just as much😂 especially if it’s your last bowl you’ve been waiting to get off work for😭
Loved the "family portrait". It's interesting that the babies, although they're brown, still have that pretty metallic sheen. Being raised in the subtropics, I never thought I'd consider roaches beautiful, but these certainly are. Glad you found the secret to keeping them happy and propagating.
Absolutely gorgeous roaches, and great video about their care and husbandry and behavior!
Thank you for sharing your experience and information with us; really appreciate it Mr.and Mrs. Pseudoglomeris Magnifica 😂😊
Thanks for the update on these gorgeous lil things their colour is magnificent and so glad there doing well .
Thank You for the update. They are such pretty little things aren't they? I also like that they don't turn crazy like other Roaches when they,re exposed to light. Maybe I'll get me some too...they're hard to resist 😍
Dave and Mrs Camera Lady! 😁👋🏼☺️
Hello Mr and Mrs Magnifica! Thank you so much for the promised follow up on these Emerald jewels. What beautiful things they are. The little bitty babies actually look like roaches since they aren’t that amazing green color. Yuck! How quickly do they become green? Lovely little beasties. Thanks again for sharing. Now the Brazilian Blacks and I can be satisfied for a little while.
This gave me a much needed break from unpacking. Some of these boxes haven’t seen the light off day since 2014 when I moved from Colorado to Texas!😮. It is like Christmas 🎄around here. Okay, I am off to my beauty sleep. Need all the help I can get 🤣😂 I hope y’all have a wonderful day and take care of yourselves and each other. Bless you both on your coughs. Hot tang does wonders on a rough throat. With that being said, Good night! 😴🌜
Now I know there are beautiful roaches with a terrific name. I think you should just trade names with one of the males, who would henceforth be known as Dave the Roach. I’m sure Camera Lady would approve the change since she takes everything in stride, and just think of the pleasure when you give your new magnificent binomial name to a restaurant concierge.
I knew someone who knew a lot about mosquitoes from around the world and the human diseases some species carry. She told me about her favorite species, which I recall as being jewel-like deep blue and feeding from flowers, not animals.
Tonight if I dream of shining green roaches having drunken parties on fermented apples, it’s your fault.
😂😂😂
Thank you for the recap on these beauties. That flattening to the surface is nifty…the opposite to the potato bugs rolling up.
Another wonder video, Mr. Dave-Pseudoglomerous Magnifica! We’ll all have to start to get the ball rolling on that new name for you, as it’s certainly the least we could do!) ;)
Anyhow, your channel has certainly taught me many, many things over the years, and it’s always so nice to have someone interesting to explain about these fantastic invertebrates. I mostly come to your channel to learn about spiders but I almost always leave having an appreciation for something else I totally didn’t expect.
And (ashamedly) as someone who never EVER used to like bugs of ANY kind, this is big deal indeed.
That’s awesome ❤❤❤❤
I think that that name is very suitable for you Dave , lovely beautiful roaches
That is one roach I like looking at. They are pretty and don't look like a roach.
Congratulations on so many babies.
Hi Dave and Camera Lady 💙💕🕷️ hope you’re both doing well and enjoying your day.
Loved seeing those beautiful cockroaches again Dave (not very often you hear that combination of words 😂) But… they truly are! Their colour is stunning 😍
Great work Camera Lady 😊😊 getting up close and personal 😊
Take care both, have a brilliant weekend 💙💕🕷️😘xxx
Thank you! You too!❤️❤️❤️
brilliant information from the beastie room PROFF. the colours are very metallic like. great roach for the kids to keep i think. great footage CAMERA LADY showing the colours. many thanks guys and take care.
Thank you! Cheers!❤️❤️
Beautiful little insects ! Glad to hear they're doing so well ! Keep up the great work.
Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
They are so pretty!
I am really jealous. They are very beautiful roaches.
They look like fancy wood lice
"Dave The Magnificent" sounds more like a magician than a gladiator. 😛
Brilliant recap Dave, they're absolutely stunning, the colour is fantastic and very vivid, anyway Dave another super job by yourself and camera 📷 lady Dave.
Good vid Dave, nice roaches. 😎
Surely your fancy Roman name would be "Biggus Dickus" wouldn't it? 🤣
Hope you and camera lady aren't coming down with something, take care mate. 😉👍
I like it!😂
Very beautiful roaches, I love how they carry their babies on their back! I left the UK when I was thirteen and lived in the US, staying at a friends house I went in to the kitchen, I was absolutely terrified the roaches were disappearing at high speed, i had never seen a roach before and at that point i quickly decided that I never want to see them again, I would however see them again as Bristol zoo, the kids loved them! 🪳🪳🪳
Dang they be like living jewels so stunning. And also I had a successful rehousing of my hetro gabo, I believe I have a girl looked like mini version of your lady. Love your videos keep up the hard work.
That’s amazing well done my friend ❤
I do agree with AfroRyan! They are really beautiful roaches 👋🪳💚❤👍! I don't find roaches that repulsive as an insect but of course when they are a pest in someone's house it isn't nice. I love mice and I think they are very cute as an animal but I don't want them as a pest in my house either. I do practice catch and release with insects ( I don't have house roaches ) but occasionally a spider, fly, wasp or bumblebee. Long ago I had a mouse inside ( rather my mother had it ) but I did catch it and put it outside. The little mouse was so cute though! Have a nice day as well as end of the week dear Dave and Sweet Camera Lady!
Camera Lady Maximus 😊
Hello great video information Dave
Thanks 👍
I love the coloring! Thanks for another great video.
These are so beautiful. My wife and I are going to attempt a colony, and this was an outstanding video. I have found hissing cockroaches to be great bug ambassadors for kids. I feel these would be even better.
These are awesome my friend 👍
When the door opened, they looked like giant wood lice at first to me🤣 They are gorgeous though
I've never seen roaches like that before. Aren't they amazing! I remember as a child finding a rare burrowing cockroach, it had big strong forelegs for digging and a black shiny skin. I took them to have them identified at the entomology department. The guy there was so wrapped he tried to bargain to get them from me, but I said no😅👍I kept them in a large bug container with peat moss. That was over 35 years ago
Awesome ❤️
I love you man god bless you 🤍🇮🇷 🇬🇧
❤❤❤
These cockroaches look after their babies similarly to earwigs they keep their babies on their bodies for a long time too. My mum loves earwigs for that reason despite my dad dropping them down the back of her top, just for her reaction, dad's never grow up they're eternally 15 years old 😆
Surely, Dave... You mean SIR Pseudoglomeris magnifica ! Yeah, I know... I know... don't call you Shirley 🤣
Hi Guys!
Been following Your channel for like a month now, absolutely Love Your content!
Honestly I haven't been to keen on roaches BUT these guys right here ouh booooy! So pretty!!!
Just watching Your channel inspires me for future!
Thank You so much for Your dedication!
P.s. Got my first T.Albo 3 weeks ago! been a fun ride!
Awesome and welcome to our channel ❤👍
AWESOME am not too keen on roaches BUT the colours on them are STUNNING
Oh nice just like an emerald isopod great video and thanks for the update
Wow! Those roaches are so beautiful. I love their iridescence.
P. S. We can start calling you Davidus Maximus if you’d like 😂
You should see if it’s possible to preserve the old shells in clear resin. You could even sell them to make money for the channel. I know I’d definitely buy one.
I wrote a story once and lost it so I will try again
Magnifico Mr Dave They Look like Beautiful Sparkling Emeralds Fabulous Colours
I wondered if you had them has a Pet Do they interact with the pet owner .... and what is the life span on them ...They Also remind me of an Helmet 😂.
As beautiful as they look Mr Dave I think I might prefer one of your Spiders on my arm 😮
But How fascinating they carry the babies on their belly and share the mothering ..so they are quite communal
The male looked quite relaxed in the enclosure too he was like a Baby Bat all chilled out on the log
They all looked very Healthy Mr Dave your are feeding them a Feast
Wonderful Video Mr Dave As Always with a Magical Story That always come with it
Great Close Up Shots From Your Lovely Camera 🎥 🕷🕸🕷🕸Lady
💕Until the Next Adventure Mr Dave Have a Wonderful Weekend With Your Family
🕷💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🕷.
ive been waiting for this video i love your emerald roaches
Thank you Dave love these little green magical things. What happened to your giant centipede it's been a long time. Thank you so much
Another great video Dave!❤❤❤
I feel like I've seen a Spider-Man episode of a villain who had insect friends who robbed banks for him. No lie. 🤣😊💚💚💚
Those are cool
Those are beautiful! 💚
After an experience living in an infested apartment in San Diego, I would never have thought I could love roaches.
Now I have a tiny colony of young Dubias that are being kept as (accidental) pets. 😄 So cute. I may look into keeping those in future too.
When they’ve grown a bit, my little Cyriocosmus slings may be able to take tiny roaches (if they breed), but right now, the slings are smaller than my smallest roach. (They were too big for the Dolomedes I initially bought them for.)
So, the roaches are pets.
I couldn’t bring myself to euthanize them just because I ended up not being able to use them as feeders.
I’m giggling again. Dave, while I agree Pseudoglomeris Magnifica is an excellent name…if u were like, the mob…u know ur nickname would be the Emerald Cockroach. Lol
😂😂😂❤
Amazing colours and when you say they like the apple once it starts going bad doesn't that mean they are cider drinkers lol
😂😂😂
Wow absolutely gorgeous. Do they shine in the dark?
No unfortunately
Brilliant video guys xxxx
they are very cute !
Pseudoglomeris Magnifica, um I mean Dave, I never think I'm going to enjoy these 'non spider' videos, but I always do. I wonder if their beautiful shells could be made into some sort of jewelry? They are quite spectacular!
I was just wondering the same thing. Maybe put a molted shell into a 1/2 sphere mold with some resin. I'd buy them!
Enjoyed that video very interesting and they are pretty
You have the best humor 😂😂 😊
❤❤❤❤
You got me. I suspected you were going to toss a change-up at us by doing a video of ANOTHER non-spider, critter species. Of course it was the shiny roaches. You’re breaking my heart here. There are thousands of spiders there, probably hundreds of species we haven’t yet seen..yes?
I’ll go into withdrawal if I don’t get my arachnid fix. If you had to talk about roaches that aren’t being fed to spiders, this species is a pretty color, invoking images of scarabs in ancient Egypt.
Spiders next week? 😅
Great video Dave! I had to skip thru i had my 4yr old son today at home. Quick question. Do you have some type of Light on them? Also do you have a heat light on your feeder roaches? Lmk thanks brother
Yes I have. lighting on my shelves and no I use the room temperature for my roaches
Great update !
I don't like roaches Dave but, their beautiful 😊
Love you're video's. Mine love to eat lichen also.
Mine too! ❤️
Dave!!! Super long time fan here! I was wondering if you sell the molts at all? Also, are they fairly hard? (Like they wouldn’t fall apart as soon as it gets picked up) I make taxidermy jewelry and would be super interested in purchasing them if you’re willing, and will ship to California!
I was thinking they could make some really cool stuff too. Metallic emerald, very pretty.
beautiful
Great Video guys.
Who makes the enclosure and what size is it?
Thanks
A friend Dale Emms
Damn I was about to ask about these things yesterday, lol
Edit many I not you*
Do they carry the eggs too and if so how do the eggs get uder the roach. Lovely docile pets
Yes they carry live birth I believe
Would they do OK with a plant in there too, do you think? Just for looks, really. And is there any concern about ending up with too many of these roaches? Or in practice is this not really a problem? I really fancy setting up a little colony on my desk!
Aplant should work well and no they are very slow breeders 👍
In terms of water source I tried aquagel on a small dish as well as watermelon leftover peal. Both worked well.
Watermelon is good 👍
Hi dave how are you doing
Hey Mr Dave and Mrs camera lady! This dont have to do with the roaches although the video was amazing as are they I was wonder what happened to Mrs. Peaches? I've binge watched your videos and unless I missed something you never talked about her again do you still have her? Did you ever get her a bigger hoop ? I'm curious if she's still around?
She passed unfortunately and yes we did move her to a bigger hoop she also wondered around the room a fair bit too 😂👍
Awww that's sad! The life cycle of some of these spiders is just way way too short! Well it was a good idea hopefully you and mrs. Camera lady do another one some day I love the orb weavers there so beautiful! Have lots near me in the hay fields of Tennessee
Dam man next time drink a dam cup of water 😂
Stunning. What do they eat?
He tells in the video
They must be very tiny when they hatch to be able escape through the Komodo lid, I was planning to get some to start a colony but I only have Komodo glass enclosures, any cheap solution or idea you could give me? Thanks 😄
They do best in fly proof housing
The females almost resemble woodlice, even the way the offspring are carried.
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
They live 5 to 7 months dave
Q , What sustenance do the Emeralds roaches get from the Bee pollen ?
I. think its protein based ?
You guys should name that roach colony like UA-camr AntsCanada
I’m late, what’d I miss?? Had to watch my Sooner girls trounce FSt @ WCWS…
You don't put water crystals in any of your bins? They don't need water or moisture to live?
I soak the moss this is enough I dont like the crystals 👍
You shall henceforth be known as Pseudoglomeris Magnificus or PM for short 😊😊😊
😂😂❤
Are these a bit like Dubias? I mean in term of breeding. If you get two you have for the rest of your life you know? 😃
No these are slow breeders in comparison 😂
I want some they are really hard to find
They are very expensive. Here in germany a pair of them is like 60€.
I think there are so many dead ones because they are too dry. They should have damp places to hide, while the air is quite dry. Have damp substrate under the big logs is better I think.
There is damp substrate what your seeing is moulted skins on the floor of the enclosure these are very healthy and breeding well 👍
Oh, sorry. That's great 😀😃
How do you get this terra on 80 degrees? Only with a heating map?
My room is heated
I’ve got about 10 emerald and 10 copper. They are fully grown. How long does it take for them to breed once the conditions are right?
They will start straight away
@@daveslittlebeasties do you have any idea what gestation period they have at all? Like before they release them onto themselves?
@@Isorarepods I t can take unto 6 months they are very slow for roaches 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties slow is right 😭. I didn’t know that thank you! I breed others and was like what am I doing wrong
Does anyone know how to see the difference between man and female before adulthood?
Thanks
I’m keeping mine almost 2 years now and I find the male have a bit more of a pointy shape to their bum not so rounded as the females. Similar to when they are adult the shape is becoming really sharp at the bum. I’ve also mentioned a bit shorter antennas for the males. But about the antennas I’m not so sure. Need to keep an eye on them antennas. But it’s really hard almost impossible to tell the difference before they become adult.
Males have wings, females don't in roaches
@@ethannewcombe7004Often the wings do not appear until the final molts, so this isn’t always helpful in determining the sex of juveniles.
Anyone have a source for these within the states?
Can they be fed to your spiders? Or are they poisonous?
A little too exspencive to feed to my spiders
I was just wondering since you’re breeding them now if you’ve fed one to one of your spiders. Totally understand if they are too expensive to even feed one of them to your spiders. 😊
@@Mrs.G0ad No these are not food 😂
Okay! Thanks for responding! I love your videos! You’re so full of information and thank you for being patient and answering my questions.
@@Mrs.G0ad Anytime my friend ❤

Erm not sure about those. Prefer 8 legs 😆
cANADA SUCKS THEY WONT LET US HAVE THOSE WHERE I LIVE.
A
A beautiful color but that's it. Sorry, but not a fan of roaches.
Absolutely fascinating. I Really wonder why they have evolved this beautiful color. There’s nothing else like it. I love how the females carry around the babies too.
Could the coloring be mimicry of venomous/poisonous animals? I can’t imagine it would be camouflage. But maybe in Vietnam they look like droplets of water.
some isopods carry their eggs and young in the same so much says woodlice more then roaches to me lol
I’ve seen them in a rare occation here in Norway, I’d love to keep them as pets!! I’ll go back to the pet store asap and get some. Any sugestions on how many I should purchase?🪳🪳🪳🪲🪲🪲
As many as possible
