That's some enclosure for cockroaches lol I have to admit they are beautiful. I started a red runner colony and dubia colony and I really enjoy watching them. It might actually hurt a little when I start feeding them to my T's lol Great video as always Dave & Camera Lady atb!!
Red runners are a hoot, far more interesting than dubias, have you ever watched them run off with food? They take their time picking a choice morsel, then suddenly grab it and run away at top speed! Lol 😆, love it:) But I am also glad to have them as feeders, their speed is interesting to a lot of critters, and they don't bury themselves (dubias would frustrate me by diving in immediately). Hey Dave! What a great video! Great update, these guys seem to be doing very well! These are such pretty roaches, wow! Truly living jewels! I chuckled a bit when you helped yourself to some apple, haha i too Dave like a good apple now and then. Hopefully these guys breed well for you Dave. Btw: Sorry for my late comment, wasn`t able to watch this until now because of work. And yesterday evening, my parents took me and my brothers out to a family supper (Montana`s) and a movie (Thor) and we played a few family games on the Playstation4 when we got home from the movies, one of my friends just started her job there today, we saw her, i am in fact talking about Anna, you probably remember when i mentioned her. So that was fun. But i just made one of the hardest decisions that i`ve ever had to make Dave, a few days ago now. One of my friends that i`ve had since second grade (a decade ago) has been turning toxic towards me over the last 1-2 years and making my Mental Health go downhill. I finally blocked her on all social media last night so she can`t possibly reach me. She got her cousin to reach out to me, i told her why i did this, and Sara (my ex friend) was apparently surprised. Sara is a hypocrite. For years and years, i thought that she cared about me, but she never did, i was just too blind to see it. I gave her many chances and she continued to hurt me mentally. Yesterday i had a particularly hard and stressful shift and she pulled me into an argument and blamed me afterwards. She had a bad habit for creating arguments about stupid things and blaming me afterwards. I said: right, enough is enough, she was constantly invalidating me and just not being a good friend, i can`t explain it but she was toxic towards me, i don`t know why or even if there is a why. While she was sleeping, i blocked her on EVERYTHING (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram). She`s not a part of my life anymore, a relic of my past, she`s history. Dave, i feel like i`ve just faced my demon, i should have done this years ago, she can`t hurt me anymore, if i see her in public, i`ll just pretend she`s not there, same with school, i`m not gonna get pulled back in like all those years ago. I guess i got a little carried away Dave, sorry about that I guess i just poured my emotions into my laptop. Have you had any toxic friends? I can`t really put into words what Sara did to me, but i`m just glad it`s over, i did the right thing. I reached out to some of her friends and they have almost the exact same situations as me. And she wonders why she does not have many friends... Sorry Dave, i guess i just needed to get that off my chest but in all honesty, i tell you everything pretty much. I hope you, Camera Lady and the Beasties are well. Do reply with your thoughts to my comment.

Do you have any idea how many you have? Great video, my mind is blown away! ❤️🪳🪳🪳
Are you now the go-to channel for recommendations on good eating apples? Must say I've been disappointed with flavour the last few years. Gorgeous cockroaches, would love some but Mr A says no; doesn't help that an enabler-friend offers them out now and then 😂
@@heleninglis9961 I used to wait for the first UK-grown Cox's to hit the supermarket each year, but even they lost their sparkle. We have community orchards here, will give those a go...
Thanks for your great videos, I have had my emerald roaches for about a year but they don't seem to be thriving. Going to redo the enclosure based on your guidance.
Those are really pretty! Looking at prices where I am and they’re going for $30-$80 PER NYMPH. 😮💨 Starter colonies (usually around 12 roaches) start at about $400. Guess I won’t be keeping any of those any time soon. 😅
Hi Dave Sorry I missed this video earlier. My comment is late. Yes they are very pretty. Even the male was nice looking. It was interesting how the female will keep her babies safe under her body. When they get larger does the mom make them leave😅, or do they leave on their own. That new enclosure was very nice. 🕷🕸Cindy
I think some cockroaches are smarter than they look, and find a way to evolve so keepers don’t want to use them as feeders!! Certainly a cool looking species!🖖
They are so pretty! I wonder if you could put a dot on some of the small ones to track their growth. Kinda like marking a queen bee for a hive. I can't imagine any other way to tell them apart to track their growth and life span. They really are gorgeous little critters. Cool video! Thanks to you and Camera Lady. 🕷❤
Another great video! Quick question (I’m sorry If this has been answered previously), your tarantula enclosures behind you, are they custom or did you purchase them from somewhere?
This video couldn't have come at a better time as master E and I definitely want some of them. What is amazing that both the males and females are stunning. Would housing them in a rub still be ok ? And how many for a small starter colony would you need to get started?
Thats a very large tank, you said you had a spider in it? I'm very curious what species of spider you kept in such a gargantuan enclosure. I'm imagining a dinner plate sized arboreal haha.
Very interesting xD my little colony is going crazy for the pollen. when i add a new batch if pollen they almost barry themselfs in it and it everything
Absolutely love this species and hopefully I can track some down for myself. I have 2 different species of hissing roaches and dubias that I have as feeders and pets. I got the hissing roaches to feed to my giant monitors and I’ve honestly fell in love with them they are such bizarre and interesting critters so now I have a bunch as pets instead of feeders. Is there any tips you could give me to help get the hissing roaches breeding?? I’ve raised them since they were tiny and now they are huge but I still haven’t seen any babies yet so any tips would greatly appreciated. Thanks bud I always enjoy watching and learning from the best 🙋♂️✌️
leaves males and females together in a dry environment, perhaps in a plastic container in a fairly hot area about 35 degrees celsius and in a short time in a few months or less depending on the temperatures they will mate and release from about 5 to 30 babies, possibly avoid the substrate and put only egg cartons vertically, this method is almost identical to the method of reproduction of the dubia but in our breeding it worked great. Ps. do not forget dry and wet food for excellent reproduction. Good luck👌👌
@@daveslittlebeasties yes you are right dave sorry I have described my personal experience to help, I absolutely did not want to disrespect your work, I admire you a lot so sorry if I was indiscreet

Was that a Pink Lady apple? I love that variety, sadly I can only eat mushy food at the moment as I choke on solid food, I have something in my throat that has blocked it, I do miss apples! They are beautiful cockroaches, the colours are beautiful, I never think beauty when it comes to cockroaches! Cockroaches look after their babies better than some human mothers do! Do you have any idea how many you have?
Great video, my mind is blown away! ❤️🪳🪳🪳
Hi I have no idea how many there are and yes a pink lady apple 😂👍
Awesome as always, thanks!
Are you now the go-to channel for recommendations on good eating apples? Must say I've been disappointed with flavour the last few years.
Gorgeous cockroaches, would love some but Mr A says no; doesn't help that an enabler-friend offers them out now and then 😂
Just before reading your comment i was thinking to myself, I've not had a really tasty apple for forever it seems!🤣
@@heleninglis9961 I used to wait for the first UK-grown Cox's to hit the supermarket each year, but even they lost their sparkle.
We have community orchards here, will give those a go...
I'm so happy you guys are doing good. Keep going strong ❤️
Thanks for your great videos, I have had my emerald roaches for about a year but they don't seem to be thriving. Going to redo the enclosure based on your guidance.
Let us know how you get on 👍
Those are really pretty!
Looking at prices where I am and they’re going for $30-$80 PER NYMPH. 😮💨 Starter colonies (usually around 12 roaches) start at about $400.
Guess I won’t be keeping any of those any time soon. 😅
🤪very exspencive
Luv this vid and what glorious colours ...
So excited to get some of these later in the year. Might find a group to pick up at the BTS show this year
Timelapse on some of the enclosers would be epic
Hi Dave Sorry I missed this video earlier. My comment is late. Yes they are very pretty. Even the male was nice looking. It was interesting how the female will keep her babies safe under her body. When they get larger does the mom make them leave😅, or do they leave on their own. That new enclosure was very nice. 🕷🕸Cindy
They leave on their own as soon as mobile they wander off then return to her until one day they just dont return ❤️👍
I think some cockroaches are smarter than they look, and find a way to evolve so keepers don’t want to use them as feeders!! Certainly a cool looking species!🖖
Evolution is not a concious process dude
@@nickdouglas736 aye, was just joking, cmon, lol
I reckon one or two of these cocky rochiz will show up around the place!!! 🤣
just won some of these in a giveaway :) love the video
They are so pretty! I wonder if you could put a dot on some of the small ones to track their growth. Kinda like marking a queen bee for a hive. I can't imagine any other way to tell them apart to track their growth and life span. They really are gorgeous little critters. Cool video! Thanks to you and Camera Lady. 🕷❤
He can't, It would be pointless because they will shed to grow.
such beautiful roaches.... Do you feed your other roaches fish flakes as well?
No they get chicken pellets these are more fussy 😂
beautiful
Another great video! Quick question (I’m sorry If this has been answered previously), your tarantula enclosures behind you, are they custom or did you purchase them from somewhere?
They are Komodo 20x20x20
Dang, roaches can get a forever home, but I have to keep renting....
This video couldn't have come at a better time as master E and I definitely want some of them. What is amazing that both the males and females are stunning. Would housing them in a rub still be ok ? And how many for a small starter colony would you need to get started?
They do best in an arborial enclosure and the more you can start with the better 👍
Thats a very large tank, you said you had a spider in it? I'm very curious what species of spider you kept in such a gargantuan enclosure. I'm imagining a dinner plate sized arboreal haha.
It came with a reduncus in it
Very interesting xD my little colony is going crazy for the pollen. when i add a new batch if pollen they almost barry themselfs in it and it everything
Mine dont touch it ?
I can just imagine overhearing Camera Lady with a "beastie room" grocery list at the store... 🍎 🍐 for our cockroaches, 🍌 for the beast (poor Dave) 🤪
😂😂😂❤️
When you were cutting the two pieces of fruit, I KNEW you were going to eat one of the pieces. ROFL
😂😂😂
Good luck👌👌
We have a video covering hissers 👍
@@daveslittlebeasties yes you are right dave sorry I have described my personal experience to help, I absolutely did not want to disrespect your work, I admire you a lot so sorry if I was indiscreet
@@agares9472 thanks for the advice
@@daveslittlebeasties I’ll definitely check it out now thank you and hope you have a great day bud 🙋♂️✌️
Great setup! Any idea what temps these guys need?
Gorgeous animals! But I have to ask, where did you obtain your dart frog tank? Is there a link to go and make a purchase?
They were built by my good friend Dale Emms at DMSvivaria 👍first class enclosures 👍👍
Can we get an update on the setup please 🙏
Yers im sure we can do something
Wow! What beauties!
What do you do to keep the terrarium moist? Do you spray water or wet a corner of potting soil? Thanks, very interesting video.
Both!
is one of my fav species of roaches
I stumbled on one of your videos yesterday and the way you handled and cared for a big Australian spider seemed to be a bit therapeutic for me regarding my arachnophobia. You remind me a bit of a cockney David Attenborough (no offence). Thanks, you've got a new viewer. 👍
Welcome to our channel my friend ❤️👍
How beautiful is that emerald cockroach

These are pretty cool. How common are they? Would love to here an update on the Geniculata female pairing. Is there an egg sac?
She eat it after 3 weeks
