As someone hoping to enter next year it is pretty disheartening that they managed to not detect potential A.I but more so that they just slightly changed their name and got six entries in.
The feraligator at 25:24 is my favorite. That flat chalk style art with the magikarps and lilipads. So unique and fantastic!
a friend just suggested that some of the non winners could be used a future promos..that would be cool.

I get the concern about the AI accusations potentially feeling false, but tbh, the Eevees and Pikachus being accused of being AI are really obvious if you know the tells to look for, *and* straight up are worse than a lot of the entries that didn't make it, IMHO. The Vaporeons in the background of two of the Eevees are just... not up to the standard of anything else here. Nevermind the fact they didn't match the art style of the Eevees in the pictures they were in. They really shouldn't have made it on aesthetic standards alone, like even if they weren't AI, I don't think they were up to snuff

You should make a video comparing hand drawn cards vs. computer drawn cards. I sent my friend the Cutiefly that REND drew because I couldn't grasp how someone could create that artwork and my friend totally dismissed it and said it was just an AI created image. It would be cook to know the process of drawing these cards and how hand drawn differs from computer drawn.
"there's no proof that they're AI, but they have tellings" nah g, the proof is that they look genuinely terrible when you look at the details. And then you can run it through a tool to check similarities to AI and it gives you 99% AI return. No human would make those mistakes, go off design like that, or think to put in some of those things.
Like sure, looking at a 20 pixel thumbnail you can't tell as much (except you can clearly see the one Vigo K Eevee under the northern lights is AI, and how the others from him are very similar style), but if you take 2 seconds to look at the full quality image it is obvious.
i feel like u made this comment before i went into detail and started to dissect them with chat at which point it became clear they were AI generated. either way, we both reached the same conclusion + agreement. they’re suspect. i am cautious of jumping straight to AI conclusions because doing so can drag innocent artists - just look up the user Johis on Twitter. there’s another i can pull up who was falsely accused, just can’t find it right now on mobile. my point is; a little bit of caution can save somebody from having their reputation ruined, which i think is very important these days
@@okJLUV 100% fair points (I also commented before finishing the video). I am guilty of seeing the Johis Eevee and thinking it looks like AI at first glance, but it is harder to tell because of the art style. I think the other Eevee I suspected of AI was Amber Zeigler - but I kind of still suspect that one, it still looks off to me. But I'm not trying to publicly out anybody, that is for the judges to decide.
