I know it was Kiffin's first game back in Knoxville after ran off to Cali, for probably a better job back then, but ESPN made him look like the Head Coach with how much TV time they gave him throughout this game.

Vol fans are delusional right now, and trying to "believe"their way out of this rut, but imo u got the wrong coach, and as a coach on Saturdays, he's yet to prove a thing. The media is grossly overhyping the Vols. I hope I'm wrong cause Knoxville is a great place, and the fans deserve a winner, but from the outside looking in, this is what I see: U got the wrong coach. Butch Jones is the worst of all the cliché used car salesman in FBS football. Every-time I hear him speak it is painful to hear the same rehearsed lines over & over. He has never built a successful program, and isn't a great x & o coach by any means. He was a band geek in school. He has recruited well, but that's not hard to do at Tennessee. The only difference from year 1 to 2 was 7 pt win over horrible Vandy & the Vols beat a much worse USC team than they did the yr before. Everyone was excited about a bowl win, but in reality the squeaker over Vandy & the bowl win over a poor b10 team were the only difference from the yr before. The 4-1 end of season was due more to competition than improvement, but it sure made Butch & Dobbs look better than they are. Butch's "we r the youngest team) rhetoric should be getting old for fans. When u sign 30 kids a yr u r technically going to be "young" every yr. Hope I'm wrong, but I'd really hate to see heartbroken Vol fans expecting 10 wins with their head down all season after losing to OU again. I just don't see where they go from losing by 24 to a bad OU team to thinking they will beat them & have a shot at the SEC title. Hope I'm wrong about Butch, but as an FSU fan look what Jimbo did for us: 7 wins 2 of the 3 yrs before he becomes head coach. We averaged about 8 wins a yr for a DECADE! Jimbo comes in 2010 & he wins 10 games for the 1st time since 2003 in his 1st yr. Then won 9,12,14, & 13. Obviously, we got lucky & got the right guy. But compare that to what Butch has done with a similar situation at a school with great tradition. Not so good. Hope I'm wrong not trying to shit on ur team just stating my opinion. I see Tennessee winning 7 games this yr., but if Butch is who many seem to think he is, 10 wins this yr & a playoff bid nxt yr. I just don't see it. Good Luck this season.
