Made this last week for my first attempt at yakiniku seafood with green shiso leaves. Amazing, going back in on this today with some lobster, prawns, scallops, octopus and squid
Oh! I’ve never cooked or strained this recipe….I just put all the ingredients in a bowl…the recipe I’ve been using also includes a small diced shallot…I might try warming and straining to see the difference! 🌹
It's typically used as a thin dipping sauce. But, if you want to reduce it down to make it thicker you can. You could even add a cornstarch or arrowroot slurry to thicken it up if wanted. I hope you enjoy 👍
in the video you say sesame seed oil but looks like you're using sesame oil (pure sesame oil)? the recipe in the description also says sesame seed oil. isn't there a difference between sesame oil and sesame seed oil?
Both are made from sesame seeds. From what I understand the names are interchangeable. This is a really tasty dipping sauce. I hope you have a chance to try it. Thanks for watching 👍
@@thesauceandgravychannel hi i did end up making the sauce and to be honest i wasn't impressed i found it to be overall fairly bland. although i kept the leftover sauce in the fridge overnight when i used it the next day it was absolutely delicious! reminded me kinda like how i like my teriyaki sauce so good i could eat it with rice alone haha thanks for the recipe 🧅🥩🧄. how long can you keep the sauce in the fridge until it goes bad?

Japanese cuisine is one of my favorites and this Sesame Seed Yakiniku Sauce looks incredibly delcious. Fantastic cooking once again Johnny Mac 😋👍!!!
Thank you. Yes this dipping sauce really offsets whatever you dip in it.

Awesome sauce!
Thank you 👍
I love these Asian dipping sauces especially on a steak!! Yum! Another great sauce Jonny!
Thank you 😊👍
Gracias....
Looks good. Teriyaki sauce is 50/50 soy sauce and sugar plus ginger. I'd also add ginger.
It looks magically delicious! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe! Like and full view from a friend! 😍😍😍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 😊👍👍
Yummy !!!
Thank you 😊👍
You are great 👍. Please make video of ‘natto tare’ also. Thank you 🙏
A natto tare sauce sounds great. I will put it on my to do list👌👍Thank you for watching. 😊
Is it okay if i use it for sushi ??
Sure, that would work 👌
Can this sauce be reduced a bit further to become thicker?

How long would it keep in the refrigerator?
This should last roughly a week in the refrigerator. I hope you enjoy it
You are the best yes less talk and have recipes with it thank so so much I will try then be back let everyone know how is is
can I change the mirin to vinegar ?
you can use sherry or a sweet marsala wine. White wine or rice vinegar will work but you may want to add a little sugar as well.

Mirin ?
Wow that's a lot of sugar
Super tasty👍😊
Eh, it’s less sugar than you’d find in a typical 12oz can of coke.
