Sons of Liberty makes an AR chambered in 6Max that is reliably sub MOA and does well out to 1000 yards. The AR platform is finally getting some new life breathed into it.
I have a 6max with 14.5" barrel an my 55gr noslers are running 3380fps.... once the barrel gets broken in i will see what it can do should be easily over 3400fps... but so far i am impressed

I was reading a bit on this caliber. Seems to be a bit slower but heavier & flatter than 22-250. I didn't know there was anything this capable between the 204 and 223. Learning lots on this channel, I'm gonna have to stop claiming I'm a beginner soon. Not here, I can't fool you guys, but elsewhere I'm a genius....
Trigger time helps. I have several different rifles and all have different triggers. At a recent range trip I took 2 ARs, one with basic mil-spec trigger and the other with target. After shooting the one with the target trigger, I pulled the heck out of the first shot with the mil-spec, but then adjusted and it shot just fine. A lesson learned and recently reiterated by @Halfmilesniper on taking a few dry fires with the rifle first, especially one that one is unfamiliar with.
It's funny, the tightest groups that I've ever shot, where not out of a bolt action hunting style rife,....but rather my Colt AR 15, with a 16 inch match barrel. I was using 55gr Hornaday V Max. Of course each rifle has its own favorite kind of candy...lol. Thanks for another great video👍
I guess I'm different. My coyote ar rig has a 2 lb trigger. lol But, you are actually correct. Most people should probably have something heavier, unless they spend a lot of time at the range. Great video WTW!
Brenton is easily the best AR no one has ever heard of. Don't sleep on this brand. It isn't widely distributed, but it is an awesome rifle in any caliber. Check the last two years competition data from National Matches "Mid-Range AR". Team Brenton wins! These AR's are no joke.
The range I used to shoot at I had to go on Sunday Mornings from 8 to about 11 to do precision work and load work ups. After that it was just like you said- local yocals showing up to mag dump AR's due to range having no rate of fire restrictions. FRUSTRATING!
The varmint round is the 62ELD VT, which was the first ones I was able to find. Haven't gotten to try them yet but I would love to get groups approaching yours.
I love cans, BUT some folks cannot afford the price tag and stamp fee! So don't blame them, Blame the Idiots that made the stupid laws(O Yea, that's Congress)!
I was trying to test hand loads last Saturday, and some first time shooters were to my right, shooting an AR barely pausing 2 seconds in between shots. It definitely affected my accuracy, and diminished the value of my data. There where times where I just had to wait until they ran out of ammo, so I could take a few relaxed shots. I appreciate people introducing new people to guns, though. I grew up on a range. My dad was a competitive shooter, and reloader, and I still can't help but jump when someone next to me bangs away. It rattles me!
Very nice rifle. Too bad we cannot buy it here in Illinois. Hard to tell for sure from the video, but when you worked the action it sounded like the charging handle or the bolt carrier could use some lubrication.
If you look back at the footage the round that was an odd flyer when you fired it there was a lot more smoke that came back out the chamber maybe check the shells and see if there is anything odd
That 88gr match load is fantastic in my 224 Valkyrie bolt rifle. Taken it to 800 at the range. Easy impacts out yonder, basically no recoil, easy to spot impacts and a great coyote/prairie dog load. The 22ARC does most everything better than the Valkyrie and will likely be the final nail in the Valk's coffin. Glad I kept all the spent brass.
The notion that ARs as a whole arent very accurate is very wrong. Most of what ive built in various calibers are sub 3/4" to 1/4" with various fact ammo. Some builds are good with 4 or 5 diff offerings, some only like a couple. Suprisingly my arguably most accurate one is a really cheap 14.5" setup for range plinking, plain jane 4150 melonite barrel, it shoots a couple varmint loads under 1/4" if im good that day. Well outperforms barrels that cost me literally 10x as much. A properly headspaced, built and tuned ar, given the barrel is good, will shoot as good as any bolt. Good chamber, good rifling cut, good crown and properly headspaced, some gas/buffer tuning and itll shoot right with any bolt gun, but faster. Its all in how its built, and that doesnt mean its gotta cost alot. Ive seen some very very cheap ARs do bughole groups, ive seen several shotgun pattern too, but ive seen expensive stuff do both also....
@@Ron-ni8uu22arc and 6arc arent weird? And a sensible person wouldnt rely on them in dire need, a sensible person would also stockpile ammo for them regardless. Sure i can buy twice as much 223/5.56 for the money, but i already have well more than enough of it lol. In fact, the demand for "weird stuff" is outpacing most traditional rounds pretty heavily. At least for the mfg thats local.
@Ron-ni8uu i must add i gave up trying to buy in store anymore, i started online during covid to not get gouged and just stayed online. Im literally paying almost half as much in some instances as what i can find on the shelves locally. Quite often i buy enough to get free shipping. Currently payimg 20-22 a box for 6 and 22 arc, vs 29 to 38 on shelves here. Moneys tight, and its gotta go as far as i can make it. So online it is.
Whats the difference between the 22 ARC and the 223 WSSM that faded out after a couple years? Ballistics seem pretty comparable so do you think the 22 ARC will fade out or hang around?
I plan to sometimes. Using it on every single video becomes a hassle and very time consuming. More setup time, more editing time. Here lately I am flying by the seat of my pants and filming the day's video same day. I need ro get ahead
@who_TEE_WHO what scope do you recommend for 6.5 creedmoor savage 2 xp, longest hunting shot will be 300yrds, but would like to attempt longer shots on paper/steel
People are always trying to get these one hole 🕳 groups or as close as they can to it . When you see these people out hunting, you would think they would utilize their tight groups and shooting skills to make head & neck shots. But when it comes down to it, they shoot them in the body between 50 to 150yrds or less to me, my opinion that's a waste of hunting/shooting talent . Not to mention a big waste of meat . Now I understand when the animal is beyond 200 yards to shoot the body, especially on a Trophy but when it's a doe or small buck, test your shooting skills AIM for the head or neck you will have mega confidence in your shooting abilities when you master the head and neck shots . Not to mention ZERO tracking. Hope this inspires some of my fellow hunters out their to give it a try. You have nothing to lose and a major confidence boost to gain . Yes 1/4 turn loose can do that, even without kissing the can.
Nuts you got .2s..nice! Great squeezes, especially at a public range you did great!

Not really tho. Price is the same as one gun. I'd rather have one gun and a can than 2 or 3 guns with no can
Give it a few months, and hopefully, suppressors will be reclassified as common use. A few orgs have been working on that in the federal courts.
The problem here in Illinois is that no one is allowed to own cans.
A tax stamp will go away soon and prices will drop
You should be able to buy a can like buying a drill.
