    Center lifter didn't go. 😂!!

      You know, you're the first person to notice and comment about that. The whole first cut went to shit because of it. After remedial works, subsequent cuts were much better.
      Well spotted. Cheers

    Damn!! Nice !!! .. Im no miner but from what ive learned, i would've thought the very center should've gone off first to allow the bottom rock room to expand.. Do i have it wrong??

      @waynejohnting2954 You're on the money, Wayne. Centre first. Cheers

    Stupid question but you have a portal that comes out on to a road would have to do an immediate right or left turn, who was the open pit planning engineer for this pit?

    • @Moz42
      @Moz42  5 років тому +3

      Not a stupid question. The widest point on the open pit haul road was strategically located where the future portal was going to be located. This was the passing bay for the haul trucks. the haul trucks were CAT 777D's. So there was miles of room for underground haul trucks to enter and exit the UG decline. Yes they came out and did a left turn to go to the ROM pile. I'll send you a separate link to a playlist entitled "Story of Moz" check out episode 9 parts 2 and 3, you'll get a better understanding of the area and you'll see that there was miles of room. Cheers

    What are you going to be mining for its interesting cus in the uk our mines were all deep mines rather than drift or drop mines. So to see how drift mines are created is interesting.

    This is great stuff,i recently purchased a silver mine in idaho and it comes with 20 acres,theres a cattle guard they put on highways thats bolted to the portal. Actually my cousin and i are going halves , apparently we can drill but no blasting or heavy equipment until its paid off which will be soon its called the Edres mine. Its actually on UA-cam filmed by some stranger and his dog but they showed a few minutes of it. I have been up to it twice but never pulled custom cattle crossing guard down but its an old mine so soon my cousin and I will invest in the tools of the trade eventually. I think the first thing will be to build a tool shed and a covered wooded entry over portal and start shoring up whatever looks sketchy and so much more this whole thing is a wealth of information that we need to be taught before we dive in dangerously, you know gas detector on every person maybe walkie talkies for whomever goes in plus a ventilation system needs hooked up an lights.we bought a generator and some other goods for this but I am excited about the whole idea of paydirt. I would also like some kinda secondary exit from inside but i need to start educating myself on mining obviously safety would be first and foremost but my younger cousin and myself are really excited about this mine named Edres. Wish us luck would you?

      Wishing you the best with that venture. If you go to my play list called "The Story of Moz" episode 9, part 3, there are more clips and images of this portal. You may get some ideas.

      Usually doesn't. Each shot advances about 1.5 to 2 metres at a time. Cheers

      @caahacky Watch it to the end, friend. Better still watch the second blast, which shows what it looked like before the second blast does it's thing. FFS. Cheers

      Thankfully, subsequent development blasts were better.

    In Sweden, this bang would be called a "bomb salvo" because it was not correct. 😮😮😮

      @johnandersson3967 agreed 👍. It was an awful blast. Thankfully, the miners got their act together for subsequent blasts.
