Australia
Приєднався 28 лип 2016
I started this channel as a place to mainly show motorcycling videos of rides, roads and scenery around Far North Queensland (FNQ) Australia.
It will include segments from road trips beyond FNQ and any interesting events on the road. Note that in the twisty bits, it’s about the line more than the speed. I’m not as young as I use to be, and I don’t need the Adrenalin rush. It’s all about enjoying the ride!
I will not limit the videos to motorcycling, I’ll occasionally include videos of events, places, from my archives and general interest……..just to mix it up a little.
The inclusion of a drone, DJI Mavic Pro, will expand the variety of videos to view. I'll include places of interest and historical significance.
My channel intro and Vlog Intro videos will give you a brief history and other facts about me.
Hope you enjoy the view and find some of these videos of interest to you.

The Burke and Wills expedition was organised by the Royal Society of Victoria (RSV) in Australia in 1860-61. It initially consisted of nineteen men led by Robert O'Hara Burke, with William John Wills being a deputy commander. Its objective was the crossing of Australia from Melbourne in the south to the Gulf of Carpentaria in the north, a distance of around 3,250 kilometres (approximately 2,000...

A visit to show you Mount Hypipamee Crater which is referred to as a volcanic pipe. The pipe was opened upward through surface rocks by gas produced from molten rock below and as a result of tremendous pressure, the vent exploded sending volcanic bombs far across the landscape. It has a diameter of 61 metres at the water level which is 58 metres below the platform. Even 85 metres below the wate...

Mrs. kraken and I were on holiday. So, I'm playing catchup on my favorite channels. Mate, $16.00 for a breakfast roll! 😵The whole world has gone mad on their price gouging. Thanks for sharing your road trip to another part of the world I'll never get to see.
@KrakensGarageandAdventures you're not wrong there, Eric. I don't feel so bad about the $16 egg and bacon roll now. At the Royal Enfield group ride the other weekend I was slugged, or should I say mugged, $28 for a fish burger at the Hotel we stopped at for lunch. It's crazy. Cheers
@@Moz42 I didn't pay $28 to see Joe Walsh on concert back in a day. 😂
Nice one mate i use to love the Gillies range
Cranking tunes, great riding with mates on top roads. Nice stuff mate.
@@Nicontrast Thanks, Nic. Most I met for the first time, and one of them lives just done the road from me. He moved here from NZ in Feb this year. Cheers
Some great roads in this mate, nice to enjoy them with a group! ✌️
@@HarleyThrottleJuice Thanks, Roger. Rippa day for it, also. Cheers
Looooooooooove Wishbone Ash!! ✌️
@@HarleyThrottleJuice 👌
Awesome ride, Moz. It's good to see riding season coming back to your neck of the woods. Lots of Royal Enfield riders on this run. Cheers!
Yes it is, Eric. There were 15 bikes on the group ride and super weather to boot. Cheers
Nice work Moz, a good turnout for the ride 😎👌
@BigBert And a super day for it also. Thanks BB. Cheers
Onya Moz , that was the Gillies?
@@aussiewantok Thanks, Nick. Yep, it was the Gillies. Cheers
Отличное видео. Хорошая музыка, прекрасная дорога и мотоцикл, что еще нужно для счастья..
And beautiful weather. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers
@Moz42 There's nothing more beautiful in this world than riding a motorcycle on a clear sunny summer day!
Hay Moz just checked out your Vid mate “ I miss the Tablelands “ Hope your well I will be back up that way in late Jan . Take care mate 👍
@@itsallabouttheridekeepingi4449 safe travels, Paul. Cheers
We need more roads in West Virginia
We need less potholes in Queensland 😁 Cheers
Thanks Moz looking forward to the tours 😎✌🏻
@@BigBert There's some interesting spots there. Looking forward to showing you. Cheers
the bacon and egg rolls have to be that price because of the road trains. If they were ordinary trucks there would be more drivers buying them LOL
@DesmondsDonders Mate! I went on a group ride yesterday with Royal Enfield owners. We stopped at a pub for lunch, to which I was charged $28 for a fish burger. The bacon and egg roll doesn't seem so bad now, 😬🤔
Damn those road trains are huge.
@hachewie yeah, you're not wrong. When I was running Mt Garnet Mine we had 3 trailer road trains working for us. They were 54m long. Th one's are 4 trailers, so I figure they are 60m long.
@@Moz42 holy smokes.
Made me think of the John Williamson song, "Back at the Isa".
@@hachewie Yep, I can see how that fits.
Great stuff mate. I have a bunch of mixed emotions about this road but will ride it one day - very cool to see it. Looking forward to the Mt Isa vids, and ripper soundtrack as always Moz!
@Nicontrast Thanks, Nic. If you ride it from Townsville, it's not too bad, just boring in places and at the same time, lots to see. The trek from Cairns to Isa via Normanton is rather interesting. Cheers
driving like a real man there Moz ;-)
😂😜
@@Moz42 dude, I didn't see the group chat
@@aussiewantok It was working at my end, not that there were many on. Sunday nights are getting lonely 😁😉🍷
👍
Cheers
Nice work & thanks a lot for the video. What is the torque value you set for upper & lower bolts.?
@franc5491 Thanks, Franc. Torque setting on both upper and lower bolts, 45Nm (33 ft/lb). Do the top bolt first and ensure that the shock can swivel, if too tight, reduce torque setting slightly, but I think you'll find it's good. Then bolt up the bottom bolt. Hope this helps. Cheers
@@Moz42 thank you for your kind reply.
We can have spoilers tomorrow.
Will I Mount Isa, or not? 😂😂
Thanks for the look around Moz. Great tunes as always mate.
You're most welcome, Nick. Nice little town. Cheers
Normanton looks like a quaint place ! I hope they don’t have those large alligators 😅 ! Cool video amigo
@WindyTherapy That's no alligator, that's a crocodile. This one was the largest shot in the area in 1954, it was 5.4m (near 18ft) long. Cheers
@@Moz42 Holy crap
Another great spot to visit. The Aboriginal museum was cool to see some artifacts. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures You're most welcome, Eric. There are a few more surprises to come. Cheers

Oh my the old Pears soap now that takes me back and some very cool works or art in wood at the tourist information center there. Cool look around indeed.

Glad you enjoyed it, Roger. The Queensland Outback is sparce and very beautiful, in its own way. Cheers
Cool video Moz.
Interesting place Moz. Very different to anywhere I've been.
Queensland outback, sparce and pretty. Cheers

Oh, that is a cool cafe! Love all the pics there!
Yeah, it is a cool café. When I walked in a had a T shirt on which says, Legendary Riders are born in 1959. When the owner saw it, she said "and in 1958" 😉😁, Cheers
enjoyed the ride snippets

I can't believe I missed this one! The start of a great road trip. Another good one, Moz.
No worries, Eric. More episodes to come. It was a great road trip. Cheers
It's a shame you had to take the car
Yeah, still had a great trip. Apart from a flat tyre and cracked windscreen. 🤔😲 Cheers
I've never been out that way Moz. One day I'll make it
@ThrottleDownunder yeah, you should, Rob. On a dark desert highway, cool wind in your hair......oops, that doesn't work for us....maybe, cool wind on your scalp.🤣

Awesome road trip mate, would love to do that route sometime. I had a good time in Mt Isa, heard a lot about this route while there. Happy days mate!

Sorry I missed the Premier Moz, thanks for the tour it looks amazing out there 😎✌🏻
@@BigBert Don't sweat it, BB. I missed it also. I'm in Cairns and got sidetracked. Cheers
Nice town and some lovely roads.
@hachewie Thanks Chewie, it was a good run. I'm in Cairns and got sidetracked, so I missed the prem. Hope you guys took the micky out of me. I'd be disappointed if you didn't. Cheers
hey mate. I'm selling my Chieftan because I am an old fart that can't handle it anymore. Thinking about the shotgun 650 with an exhaust mod
@ChuckyLad G'day Charles, how's ya been? Are you buying it new? Take one for a test ride. They're at a good price. If you upgrade the exhaust, you should also open up the air intake. I installed a DNA performance air filter, made it breathe better and gave me better fuel ⛽️ consumption. Also, if anything like the Supermeteor, the rear suspension is crap, real crap I upgraded to YSS shockies, the suspension is now sweet. Check out my suspension upgrade videos. Cheers
@@Moz42 yep from new. I believe RE have addressed the rear shocks but will be looking. I dont like the way the mufflers stick out so if I go ahead it would be one of the after market systems with altered pipes and appropriate intake (not even sure but may involve a computer adjustment too). They are still a heavy bike but up against a 900lb Chieftain it will be a pleasure ; mind you i will miss the pure grunt of 1900cc from the Indian
@ChuckyLad I'm currently in the Royal Enfield dealership in Cairns, the bikes first 12 month service, and I'm presently looking at the Shotgun in the showroom. The shockies are exactly the same. The only adjustment is preloaded. There's a mob in Tassie that make exhaust systems for REs. Verex.com.au. Cheers
@@Moz42 sweet mate. nice lookin bike eh. I wss watching some yanks and they were saying the rear has been upgraded to same brand as front shocks but maybe not in aus eh
