The idea is good but if I were you I would find a way to increase the height of the lamp shade but adding something between the glass jar and the shade. You should get something like at 3.33

I have 2 large glass jars beautiful but no lids I wanted to fill with sea glass I'm wondering how I could make lamps from them .tks
What kind of drill bit did you use?
I have several glass lamps without a bottom (open at the base). Would love to know how to install a bottom so I can fill them.
Wood lid. And use Impact glue to secure the base.

Couldn’t find light bulb clamps at Bed Bath and Beyond! Found them at Amazon.
