Same. Luxor is my favorite Middle Eastern representation from the West. Another that rivals it is Forty Thieves by Fort & Manle. I had 16 or so bottles of Xerjoff. I gave away all of them except for 6. Luxor, 40 Knots, Renaissance, More Than Words, Golden Dallah, and finally Malesia. I may re-buy Uden and Zefiro after I finish Renaissance and Malesia.
This was what I wrote back in 2021 about Luxor. A story of Ancient Egypt, where Pharoahs ruled the land of Africa's lifeline."Iteru" as they called it, known today as the river Nile. This fragrance has nothing to do with water, it's quite the opposite. It sings an ode to the desert..burning days and freezing nights, slowly chip away at your body and will. Alternating in a cycle of torment, driving you to your certain doom. It is an astonishment how a civilization thrived in a land where many failed to survive. A burst of spice accompanied by sweet black smoke..dry like the land it's inspired from. Warm as the sun shine, reflecting off golden dunes. Mysterious as the nights lit by the full moon. A whiff of green to provide a sliver of hope..something to hold on to, so you don't lose your mind. ---------------- Luxor is an amazing representation of an incensey oud fragrance. It has that sweet burned sugar smell oud chips produced when gently heated. I've got many Ensar Oud oils and fragrances, but I can't be snobish towards this baddy. You hit it on the mark when you said the Artisanal Oud head would appreciate this. I actually wear it to work, but only when I want attention. Usually, I layer it with oud oil, something smokey like Maroke or Sumbawa, and Malaysian oud. And I fumigate myself and clothes with Luban (Omani Frankincense). I swear when I do that layer, I reach my final form😎🔥
Luxor is my favorite of the Oud Stars, and I have most of them. Luxor may just be my favorite in my entire collection.

Great to hear back from you brother. Now I have to look into Luban fumigation, had no idea that was a thing.
@kaydencross yeah man. I prefer burning Frankincense over Oud. I like Oud in oil form much more than burning.
@@iamthejad You really need to start your own channel. You know so much about the subject matter that isn't main stream; at least in the west.
