Dang brotha, just found your channel, I’m a native and have fished most all of the spots you have here in AZ. I had to give it up due to health problems and I miss it more than anyone will know but great news my health is coming back and I’m ready to start purchasing all new gear (sold my old gear) and then get back out there. God willing I cannot wait. I found all of your info to be on point and even learned some things. I don’t know if you’d ever be up for company once in a while but I’d love to fish together sometime if you’d have me. I’m so hyped to get back out there it’s just going to take a bit to buy all the gear being on a limited income and all but I’m doing it and saving my ass off!!! My problem is I have to have the good stuff, googin rods, shimano scorpion, metanium reels etc. so it’s taking a while. Hope to see you out there buddy!!!!
Legit videos! I live in Tempe and I'm trying to get my 3 year old into fishing and she's only good for about an hour so we've been sticking to the local urban spots for now. Giving me some hope for some better bites this summer.
@@SouthwestFishing I was throwing a Texas rigged Yamamoto over at Kiwanis on my lunch earlier and no luck today. Do you feel you have better luck with the crayfish soft plastics over the worms out here or is it hit or miss?
Great video, I fish Tempe town lake also. I have a 15 ft starcraft with electric trolling motors. if you ever want to meet up and hangout. Haven't caught many bass there. I mainly fish with my kids which is anchor fishing with worms. But they have fun catching fish. Happy fishing!
I just pulled a 6lb bass out of Tempe town lake today by the railroad bridge when I was reeling in to rebait my catfish Carolina rig setup. I was very surprised.
Haha I was 1 tie-up down from this spot just yesterday. Didn't have any real luck but I very nearly landed a carp that decided to bite a Thomas spoon for some reason. Good to know about that bubbler, I hadn't spotted it
@@SouthwestFishing haha I'll be back there before long I'm sure. Hopefully I'll pick the right day and spot haha! Great work on the videos. Just found the channel and have been working through the back logs
Appreciate the info. Just got a black Max and I do like it. My first reel was a Shakespeare agility I think it’s called, cheapest one I could find and I could never get used to it. Black max set up is definitely more user friendly for me. Dawia can be my future upgrade 😊
Last time I fished there, I got fined $400 for releasing a tilapia back into the water…I ain’t even know it was illegal to release those back into the water in Arizona
Dang I need to fish with you! I've been having no luck anywhere. Tried ASU research park last friday and ended up losing two lures in there =\ Any tips you can give? What knots you tie or anything?
Try any of the canals. Cross cut canal is one I've caught bass in. And if you really want the best times to fish bass, check high tide times online. Usually a couple hours before and after high tide are good times. Also full moon and new moon. Bass are very in tune with the moon.
I never fish in the heat I’m usually always there fishing man if I ever need someone to talk to while fish and have fun hit me up and we can link with a video my guys let’s have fun and fish
@@SouthwestFishing glad I subscribed to this channel. My name is chris man lock me in 2105620844. Me and some guys finally met for the first time from Fishbrain. We met at this spot and they hammered bass, yellow bass, and crappie the first entire time. It was scorching hot so I ended up leaving to bass pro. I’m will be headed back to this spot within the next hour but definitely needed some drinks
117 degrees, mid-day, dedication. Great job and impressive fishing success.
Dude it's freaking hott outside surprised there's even a bite! Awesome video man keep em coming! Tight Lines!
Thank you! I was surprised to

Hope your health is still on the mend and you get to get out and fish! AZ/Tempe guy myself! 🙂✌️🎣
Very nice! I was there all morning. I was under Scottsdale road Bridge north side Caught some catfish. Got real hot quick.
How do you get to that side?

Fishing is very underrated in the summer! Plenty of fish to be caught!

Hey, do you know if the fishing is any good in the Verde below the Bartlett dam?
Thats crazy! I can never figure out where to park there so I never go fishing there. Always wanted to since its so close! Nice fishing!
Thank you, there’s a park lot on the north side and one near the stadium

Nice work and dedication bro,was really hot out there.

That lake can be on fire at times!

Damn man i was north Phoenix today it was crazy hot. Great video
Thank you!
Great video
Thank you!
Man... I really want to go to Tempe town lake sometime. just got my first ever bass bite in a lake there! i need some tips
Nice job looked like a good time except for the heat
Thank you, the heats never fun but fishing is so it offsets itself.
The water is a lot higher now
Great job bro
Thank you
Everyone will be there fishing that bubbler soon…Lol…
I know, it’s all over for that spot LOL
@@SouthwestFishing Nice quick session. Keep it man…
What kind of line do you use? And pound
12lb fluro seagur
I love TTL! I've never found a bubbler I wonder what that was?
Maybe a water line that leads in the lake
You think there are crawfish in there?
💯
@@SouthwestFishing nice! I'm gonna set some traps soon! See what happens
Is it good to eat fish from that lake i heard water is bad
You can, I never have tho
Where do you park to get there? That empty abandoned looking lot? Lol
Yes haha that’s where I go
@@SouthwestFishing thx!!
Love the vids! Let me know if you need help figuring out your microphone. Sounds like it’s either physical problem or your gain is too high.
What kind of lures have you used there?
Mainly crankbaits in Texas rig craws
Awesome vid. Were you on the south side or north side?
Thank you and I was on the south
What’s your rod and reel set up?? Thanks!
St croix mojo bass mdheavy with a dawia tatula

Dawia can be my future upgrade 😊
Such a bizarre bite during those conditions. Could the depth and size of that water be so great that it negates the extreme temperature?
I was thinking that, but I don’t think so because the lake is 15-18ft at it’s deepest point. I think I just got there at the right time.
Tryin to enter Tourneys, can you help lead me in the right direction?
Urban or major lake?
@@SouthwestFishing urban
That’s sick ! What spot is this
Thank you, south side of ttl
Last time I fished there, I got fined $400 for releasing a tilapia back into the water…I ain’t even know it was illegal to release those back into the water in Arizona
I would like to go fishing with you, will it be possible ???
Quick question how often did you catch fish, and by the way good job
I’ll catch fish just about every time I go out. It may only be a few but still fish!
What size/style of hook do you use on those craws?
Size 2 ewg
Weather it's 120° or -20°, you can catch fish with the right arsenal
Always! Gotta match the hatch
No IG?
Swfishing101
Tight line's from Oklahoma!
Thank you! Appreciate it! you too!
Excellent video, I have fished TTL too. What side of the lake were you on? Ive not seen any bubblers but they do attract the bass Like Kiwanis lake 👍
I gotta try Kiwanis soon, haven’t been there in forever and south side
Dang I need to fish with you! I've been having no luck anywhere. Tried ASU research park last friday and ended up losing two lures in there =\ Any tips you can give? What knots you tie or anything?

Also try fluke or plastic bait instead of lures. Just gotta try multiple things when bass fishing. Its different everywhere and everyday.
Canals are great small grubs are great in canals cause the resemble small tilapia and that is the bass main forge in canals
I never fish in the heat I’m usually always there fishing man if I ever need someone to talk to while fish and have fun hit me up and we can link with a video my guys let’s have fun and fish
Will do!
Would you be willing to link up with me and do some fishing? I know a dope little spot in Gilbert but I’m willing to go wherever. Im also on Fishbrain
Definitely! Always willing to fish!
