In case of stereospecific reaction if I used asymmetrical alkene(say 2 - pentene)and treated with OSO4 or m- cpba then whether it will be stereospecific or stereoselective?? as both face attack will equally probable in 2 - pentene ....
@@Chemistrylover yeah I also seemed that A racemic mixture would formed...but is it always true or it depends on substrate , electronic factor , steric effect , chelation..???
@@Chemistrylover if two enantiomer would formed then how the reaction will be stereospecific(as in stereospecific reaction only one product could expect to form)....why not stereoselective..???
No stereospecific means you will get one particular outcome from one particular isomer, actually in absolute sence it's stereospecific but as you are getting recimic mixture you may not call it stereospecific. But it's not stereo selective, because stereoselective means preference for one particular pathway over another, i.e, you have tow choices and then you took the favourite pathway to give one major pdt, which is absolutely not the case here.
@@Chemistrylover ok thank you.... Tell me the books name with author to buy and also extra material which is better for net ...even i don't have basic material to read....i hope your team will help.
Thank you .....sir iam now in fourth sem in general chemistry....iam very much interested to study and clear the net or kset... But i need a proper suggestions, materials, books to buy for study... Please help me...i would like to become organic professor.help me pls
You have nicely explained these selectivity terms with simple examples. It's helpful. Thanks for the video.
Cant stop to watch u bhai even when not having internet connection...frm Bhagyashri
Thank you so much for your wonderful explanation....
Please, Describe topic Energetics of hybridization
well explained keep doing more problems...
Good effort.can u please explain concept with more examples for gate exam
Nourul Huda
Can you pls mention the reagent used in the reaction after NaBH4 ? I cannot see it
L-Selectride
Nicely explained👍👍👍
Well thought topic
Good explanation
Sir can you explain stereospecific in Woodward reaction condition
What is Woodward reaction?
Thanks vhaiya
In which book we can get information about selectirides
Carruthers and Carey and Sundberg
@@Chemistrylover thanks brother
Is it nasipuri book is necessary for stereo? I also want to buy it
Buy it

....
You will get 2 enantiomers 50-50 mixture.
But it is stereo-specific

If two faces are enantiotopic then you will always get recemic mixture

Thank you sir !!!
Hii! Can you tell me which book is better P s kalsi or Nasipuri for stereochemistry??
Of course Nasipuri!
There is no comparison!!!
Okay.. Thank you so much
Thank you sir 💐 for your help
well-done sir.God bless you
Thank you sir
Thanks sir
What mean about In situ??
To generate some reactive species in the reaction pot immediately
