      They like being high up! It makes sense evolutionary but it’s very funny when they scream just to go up a few inches

    Some advice for newbies is I feed them Harrison's super fine pellets, I mix that with sunflower seeds. I also give mine Natural Cuttlefish Bone, it's more healthier than the unnatural one.

    So, my cockatiel has learnt a part of the Addams family theme, and drums whilst singing it
    (Drumming by hitting his beak on something) and I don’t think his beak will break, will it and if so how do I stop my bird from drumming?
    Edit: in this past year I’ve learnt so much about cockatiels, I’ve found that it’s not harmful and to be honest I forgot this comment existed. Thank you to all the people who made this video the people who have commented, and anyone else with cockatiels as they’ve told me so many things.

      Lol that's a completely normal thing for male cockatiels to do, dont worry It doesn't hurt them. They do this for attention, while they sing, and for fun. They like showing off

    My cocatiel has become agressive and makes a lot more noise than she used to. I thing that it all started after I gone to the boarding school. Is my parrot depressed?

    • @bonD6002
      @bonD6002 9 місяців тому +2

      Most likely. Some birds get angry, depressed or feel betrayed if their owners suddenly leave them as they don't understand.

      @@bonD6002 Yes when you have a good bond with your bird it can see you as its mate. And cockatiels are very loyal birds so losing their mate suddenly can be depressing

    It depends on the cockatiel and how good they're bred. Theyre just like people some are dumb as a rock and some are intelligent. To me males seem more intelligent since they can learn songs and words. They basically have the intelligence of 2 to 3 year old child.

    What if you have an African grey parrot , and u plan to buy a cockatiel soon, will the parrot be jealous and get sick or smth??

    • @tedinohio3981
      @tedinohio3981 Рік тому

      I had a cockatiel for many years, and then re-homed an African Grey. I kept their cages 2 feet apart, and would not let them play together, as the cockatiel could be injured. It seemed that the Grey intimidated the tiel, and when I had to return the grey to its original family after 5 years, I could tell the attitude and happiness level of the tiel improved. Your results may vary.
