- You asked for it and Braille Skateboarding made it a reality, the World's First 100% WAX SKATEBOARD WHEELS (minus the ball bearings). After the 100% Wax Rail we knew we had to do better and make a functional wax wheel and I truly believe we've done that! This skateboard experiment was a very fun hack to try, what should we try next?!

Honestly the slowmo video makes it all worth it whether we know it’s gonna fail or not, and I love watching the build process and seeing each persons own design and visions become reality

Something you could try if you ever feel like trying again for some reason, is jeweller's dopping wax, which is used for sticking gemstones to a "dop" to make stone faceting and polishing easier.

Yesterday was one of the happiest days of my life because at school they was giving away toys and stuff and they had some skateboards and new skateboarders were born in front of my eyes🥲

To Ricky, the candles are made more brittle on the inside so that when it’s burning the candle wax collapses inward since it burns faster. In a concave style so that wax doesn’t overflow outward

I would love to see @Braille Skateboarding try to make moldable plastic wheels. Thermoplastic beads on Amazon are hard plastic that can be molded when heated in hot water.

Should of melted the wax into the duck tape roll . I think it would have been more solid. And you should use the braille wax
Cover the bottom of a board fully in wax and see how far it will glide. Nigel SENT IT at the end there so it HAS TO WORK.

The reason the inside of the wax is brittle is because it is a better burning type of wax, but the outside is softer and quicker drying to prevent hot wax from dripping from the candle

If you try this again, you might want to get a hot piece of metal and sear the sides of the wax wheel which *should* create a bit of a seal and help the wax hold it's shape when weight is applied to it.

Every crazy build from now on should have each member of the entire Braille Team make their version of the idea with their own ways and tweaks ... All they can know is the build idea and the the goal. Then all of you make it your own way to arrive at your own personalized final result. Then each person does their test (say 3 types of tests of varying degrees)
A variation of this could be similar to the builds you would make for the other person but for their strengths. That way each one will be tested by someone who didn't make the one they're skating!

Also, I'm surprised that as a skateboard company that manufactures and distributes its own boards and wheels, that no one has thought of having various sizes of skate-wheel molds that are used in making your (Braille) wheels sent to y'all or picked up during your many and various trips to the Braille manufacturing/production plants over the years and brought back to the Braille House for any and all future "wheel builds" no matter what substance/materials are being used/tested!?! Just my thoughts and feelings, lol!
Plus, we all knew how this was going down...it was just a matter of how long it would take!

You need to try again with Pure Carnauba wax. Softer wax from candles is sure to break. Using a harder industrial type wax at least has a small hope of success.

I wonder if you can make like reinforced wax by putting in some metal mesh or wires. Still prob breaks instantly due to the pressure at the bearings
Edit: Maybe if you add sawdust or something to the wax just how ice + sawdust makes a really strong structure (Pykrete)

What do you think about paint on the board then do a trick flinging the paint around but film in slo mo and on a large paper to make an art piece

And maybe to take it further...have each member do a trick (different tricks for each skater) and we the viewers get to guess which piece of "splatter-paint-trick-art" was done by which skater/trick!
I feel like some could be more obvious than others to figure out!
Like comparing pressure flip splatter paint, to tre flip splatter paint, or kickflip, etc! That'd be a great time...
And would have to be done outside by rolling up to each of their own fabrics that they then each do their trick onto. We get to see from ground level style filming (back but zoomed in) what tricks they're each doing but not the results of the patterns made by each trick until after they're all done! (With same color of paint, of course, because if not we'd know who did each trick based on color of paint alone)
Then the filmer would walk up to and show each of the pieces. Maybe have each of them go out one at a time, then hide/move reset for next one and then see if the Braille Team can also figure out who did what based on patterns of paint... could even be a three to five round competition! Then maybe even sell/auction them off during a future Livestream Event!

Get a bunch of different spray urethane foam and try to make a mold that you can get some compression on... (but note be careful you'll literally be making a bomb... )
Should try using hockey pucks as wheels, wonder if that would work.
Find really big bearings that fit around normal skate bearings, weldbl or glue it.

If the banks didn't have the metal plate at the bottom, and there was just a smooth transition I think that at least one of Mogely's wheels would have survived. As soon as they rolled over the metal line they broke.
