- In today's video, we wanted to show you around our first day in Washington DC and show you some must see things in Washington DC. We try and get our places all figured out in day 1 so we show some of how to use the metro. We show you a 5 star hot dog cart, which was amazing. Then we show you the movements and memorials. We go to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, and the White House. These are all free things to see and must-see things in Washington DC. The only bad part was the wind and temperature. It was very cold and windy but we survived. We were so surprised with how much we really enjoyed Washington DC. If you are looking for free things to do in Washington DC, we hope this helps!
Stay tuned for another video coming soon. Thanks so much for watching! God Bless!!!

Being a retired 39 Chicago Transit Authority Customer Service worker,we thank you for reading, understanding, and caring about signage.A scenic and educational tour.
That is awesome! Signage definitely makes it easier. We enjoyed getting around DC!
Great tour, even with the wind. Better than snow!
Haha that is true although it felt like a blizzard!
So interesting! When I worked for the Commerce Department, sometimes the president would want info for a speech.
My supervisor would write it, I would type it on my trusty typewriter, and I would deliver it to the speechwriters in the executive office building. This was before fax machines!
The history museum was my favorite-went there a lot.
When I lived near Georgetown, my roommate and I would walk to the Washington monument, walk up and down the monument and then walk home. I don’t know how we did it but we were 18 or 19! I don’t know when it was no longer allowed to be on the stairs in the monument. This would have been 1965 or 1966.
Wow this is so cool! What great memories you have. That’s so cool about the speeches. Would love to see any president some day in person. Thanks for sharing these stories!
Lots to see in DC.
We loved it and can’t wait to go back!
So glad you (and I) live in Florida!!! Brrrrrr!
Yeah! Did not like that cold weather!
Very cool. I was there in the hot hot summer. Was roasting so not much better than freezing. Loved the video
We have heard it can be extremely hot! We need to find an in between time lol
Great tout thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for filming the WALL, it was hard for me when I visited it, some of my buddies were on the WALL, I was one of the lucky one’s that avoided the WALL.
I showed my respect while I was there, it was pretty haunting. Have a great day. 1/9 The Walking Dead Vietnam 68-69. SEMPER FI
I know we have said it before but thank you for your service. The wall is very sad but thankful that all of them are being honored. Thank you again for all you have done!
👍👍
Thanks!
The "8" on the Metro board refers to the number of cars on that train. Options are either 6 or 8.
Thanks for the info!
Wonder if there's any surrounding communities a little bit far away from the metro 🚇 area that may have some small family 👪 owned restaurants 🤔
I think so! We will have to check that out next time we head back. It’s such a cool spot!
