So funny you mentioned having the different band needs, PA, drums, guitars, etc...brings to mind my inventory of stuff I need to sell as I can no longer perform due to health issues...MASSIVE PA systems, 4 bass rigs, concert down to small venue and rehearsal rigs, 3 guitar amps, a HUGE Pearl concert series 8 pc kit with rack and all hardware and cymbals, 7 basses, 5 guitars...LOL so much acquisition over a 45 yr active performing musical career/life! GR8 vid Crafty! Wish I was in Australia at times! Would love to see you guys in person! Cheers! ~Chris
Wow. This is a fantastic rendition of this iconic song. In the UK I'd not heard the duet version of this song but works brilliantly thanks to your talented singers and musicians. Listening to Darren in this he mentions how important feeling the drum sounds in your bodies. Do the instruments also do this through their respective amps that I can see, or is this body vibration pulse somewhat not there using IEMs?. Thanks
When you guys were chatting about Tzan looking like a midget, couldn't help but think way back to the old Muppet Show where Kermit would be singing while sitting on top of a piano. Maybe something you could pass that on to Darren.
For the benefit of our friends in South Australia (and elsewhere) the Turner / Barnes duet version was part of a NSW Rugby League (NSWRL) promo. The original (Turner only) song was already used by the NSWRL from 1990 onwards - and for 1992 they jazzed it up with a duet. Even 30+ years later "Simply the Best" is still considered by many to be the anthem for RL in Australia. Arguably the greatest use of a song in sports promotion worldwide. Btw - nice to see you on the sticks, Crafty. You looked like you were having a lot of fun.
Great point about the feel of the live kit in the room. My question is how loud is the bass? Can you feel some of that too? or just hear it through the in-ears?
Haha this was fun thanks again Crafty🤘🏼
Darren + Crafty,What else can be said, that you two gentleman are Simply The Best
