Barb discussed how it would be great if Nintendo offered SMM as part of their subscription service, even if it was bare bones, like no more awarding stars or even keeping track of cleared levels. I agree, from a preservation aspect, if nothing else, but we know that isn't happening, of course, sadly. At least we have thousands of hours' worth of videos from favorite content creators to remember the good times. 🙂👍

I've been streaming 100 man on Tuesday nights for the last few months since they announced they were shutting it down. I did what I think is my last run this week as I think it'll be over before next Tuesday. It was bittersuite for me. I started my channel 7 years ago on MM1 and since then my kid is almost 6 and I've grown to love/hate MM2 because I've grinded out levels for no reason really other than to entertain and take away time from my family.
I guess Mario Maker will always be like that first magazine of pornography that you've ever bought before the internet, you'll always look at it with nostalgia and a lot of regard towards who you were back then. I am still salty that they took away so many great features in SMM2. I get it, you want SMM1 to be its standalone title, so that it does differ from the sequel, however, they could have kept the 100 man challenge though...

Mario Maker 1 had more charm, Mario Maker 2 has multiplayer. Over all, I prefer the first one, but it would be nice to have the good parts of both in one game. Super Mario Maker 3?
I mean, if SMM3 would bring this back, just increase the difficulty. Not 6 levels in every difficulty but increase the amount for expert, normal and easy while making it unskippable.

However, you can duck in the SMB1 style if you're wearing an Amiibo costume!
