Thanks for sharing this video with us all interesting 😀 lol from me in Birmingham England 🇬🇧
Thanks for watching, Paul! 😀
Did this “poor man’s cruise” (!) only this week. I was on that boat too and I couldn’t fault it for the price. Great video. Thanks tor sharing!
Glad to hear you had a good time! Yeah we would agree that the price is definitely not bad considering what you get. Hope you managed to squeeze in some cool activities in Amsterdam - you probably had slightly better weather than us at least! Thanks for watching 😊
Amsterdam looks beautiful, even though it was raining! I'm always worried about travelling since I'm a vegetarian and food can sometimes be an issue. The vegan restaurant looked incredible - so happy to know I can add Amsterdam to my list of places to visit!
We had such a great time and the food was amazing!! Already can't wait to go back 😍
Wow!
Thanks for watching and we are so glad you liked it!
Looks great
We loved it! Definitely recommend doing it if you ever get the chance 🙂
You made a nice video of Amsterdam well done 👍
Thank you! That's really kind of you to say 😊
It's a ferry
Glad you enjoyed Amsterdam, next time rest your stroopwaffel over a hot cup of coffee for a few moments to melt the caramel a little..
Ohh that sounds lovely! We will definitely remember that for next time thanks 🙂
You can't go wrong with £50 , absolute bargain and what's more it looks really good
Absolutely. There's lots to do onboard the ferry and definitely a crossing we could see ourselves doing multiple times to explore more of Amsterdam. We have actually seen the trip offered at an even lower price on Groupon recently so might be worth checking out if you are interested in going!
@@abbieandglenn Thank you so much. I will check it out as it's a trip we have had on the back burner for a while.
Great! We hope you have a wonderful time if you do decide to go ☺️ Once you get around to planning, if you have any questions feel free to ask and we will do our best to answer them
Hi. Were you able to leave your luggages at tha cabin while you were in amsterdam? ☺️
Hey! Yes you can leave whatever you like in the cabin as you get the same one on the way back ☺️
Booked for November, could you please tell me information on parking and leaving our car at the port in Newcastle untill we return? Sail Friday and return Sunday morning, excellent video thanks
Hi Chris! We found parking at the port very straightforward as everything is really well signposted on arrival. We parked in the Port of Tyne car park and it was only about a 1 minute walk over to the ferry. Parking is free for the first 4 hours and £12 per day afterwards. The car park seemed very secure and we felt safe leaving the car there. Once you return on Sunday morning, there is a booth at the terminal to pay before you leave (it is not possible to pay in advance). Here is the parking example from the Port of Tyne website which is the same as what we did:
DFDS Amsterdam Mini Cruise Example:
Day 1 - Arrive in car park at 3pm
Day 2 - In Amsterdam
Day 3 - Leave car park at 11 am
Parking cost £24 (44 hours)
Hope that is helpful! Have a great trip :)
That's called a Ferry
Hi Dan, thanks for commenting! This is marketed as a mini-cruise on the DFDS website and, therefore, this is the terminology we chose to use.
P&O do the same from hull for £50 too
Thank you for letting us know! Just had a look online and that's definitely a trip we would like to do at some point as we would love to see Rotterdam
Absolute bargain. Well worth a few nights and a day to visit Amsterdam.
Yes we had a wonderful time on this trip and thought it was well worth the money. It gave us a nice taster of Amsterdam as a city but we would definitely like to visit for longer next time! Thanks for watching
