Useful accessories I can see ,
Good heater , Sun visor , Fog lights , Slip on seat covers for daily drivers , rear reflectors , radios , exhausts that sound good , fire extinguishers , curb feelers , after market Sun roofs , Two tone paint , horns , and many others !
Probably not a good idea to modify a vehicle in a way that would hurt its value but I wouldn't throw a bunch of stuff on to impress the crowd !
My first Beetle in 1966 was a '54 Beetle that my father gave me after he was done commuting with it 120 miles a day!
Anyway my Beetles are going to always be drivers and Fun cars to go anywhere !

I’m surprised you didn’t mention one accessory that’s actually practical and that’s the stainless steel window shade that fits into the top of the side crank up windows. It keeps more rain from coming in and shades more from the sun. It’s an original Volkswagen accessory.

The little chrome wire basket can be held to the carpet with strips of velcro. Velcro in rolls like telco people use. Cut to length. Not the sticky velcro. And the velcro comes in all colors. I've had a styrofoam cup in that basket for a decade. I put all my nuts, bolts, and screws in that cup when I'm working on the inside of the car so I don't lose them.
That wire basket is quite handy.

Loving your video output lately (not that it’s ever bad). I just got the budget pop out windows. Is a bit of a bummer about the chrome trim not coming together perfectly, I may try cutting and glueing some old chrome over it to look like a clip - but it saved me probably $800+ here in Australia so you get what you pay for. Speaking of, I’m going to be getting the Australian style flash trim which will have a white two tone for my blue bug. Absolutely love the look of them, looks so sleek and adds some unique character. I’m also going to get some Venetian blinds for the rear window. Considering a roof rack and/or an exterior windscreen visor but haven’t decided yet. Have to get the car painted and put back together first.

..also, the Letter D on the white oval plaque mounted to rear bumber is cool addition. Also, regarding whitewalls, i use the thinner white wall, for my 64 bug,..actaully they r port-a-walls,..and they work perfectly fine. I think that pre-64 the fatter whitewall is cool, and post-64 the thinner whitewall looks period correct (jus my opinion)

I like a lot of the accessories but my favorite are the functional ones. Hazet spare tire tool kit, top end oiler, fog lights, Empi bumper bars, Eberspacher gas heater, clock, roof rack, OG popouts, bamboo tray, gas gauge in an early car, inner door scuff guards, radio, ragtop, mud flaps, hood and decklid locks, seat belts, glove box and door pulls. Wait….did I just describe my car? Yes. I did. 😊

I had one Bug accessory that was a vent system that attached from the front fender grills, then it came into the cabin for fresh air. It seems that one thing you offer is black fender moldings as an option. I see it on other beetles as well. The black fender molding is not correct for the period as they were body color, unless it was a convertible, then it became standard in the late 70s. But it does look nice.

I like your content Chris, good stuff. I have a question regarding antenna mounting. It was a dealer thing and they are all different. Sorry Chris I think wide white walls on a late model car look truly awful. On an early model car, sure, but on a late 60s on up, I prefer the correct thin white wall. Autobahn Tires offer both version in a bias look radial which are very nice. I also know the headlight eyelids are popular but again, think they look terrible. Earlier steering wheels be in stock or banjo look out of place on a later car also, imo. Consider a steering wheel from the Formula Vee line of accessories that vw offered in the 70s for a later car as they look much more at home.
