there is a setting in creative where you bullets can damage you so try that

Ben I hate to tell it to you but you cannot snipe yourself. Only explosives were programmed to damage you too because originally it was never planned that your own sniper shot could go through yourself.

wearing a big skin is worse for this. hitboxes are the same on all skins, so wearing a bigger skin will just make it less accurate and thus harder to tell if the snipe hit
