Go with what your textbook says - as your exams will be based on that Aminopenicillins are bactericidal beta-lactam antibiotics, which work by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. They are chemically similar to penicillin but have a broader spectrum of activity than penicillin - red drug.com
