    "My last 2 years with the Rockets I sucked as a player." No matter what you think about Chuck, he's always keeping it 100 making no excuses. I also applaud him for not being sensitive when everyone's clowning him for being ringless. This shows he is completely secure with his playing career.

      @EnterpriseNCC-1701 5 місяців тому +132

      People who clown him for being ringless are just clowns themselves.
      Chuck revolutionized the game as thick 6'6 power forward.
      Chuck was a league MVP and HOF player.
      Nothing wrong with that.

      ppl who clown on him, are really fans with no knowledge abt the game, charles barkely was a great player, no one can deny that, multiple all star, amazing rebounder even though he asnt the tallest guy, great post moves, he was a force. Yeah he was ringless, but he was in an era that although ppl tend to say it wasnt that good, we are talking bird, magic, hakeem, clyde, malone, stockton, ewing, robinson, gary payton, etc. He was an MVP, ppl acting like if they just gift mvps out. He didnt win a chip and thats why he knows he cant be in a certain tier of basketball players(the jordans, kobes, kareems, magics, birds, duncans, etc.) but he definitely an all time great.

    • @terrillmel

      Yeah. The ring argument is ridiculous. A ring says more about a team than an individual player. It should be obvious, but some people don't think well. As a Jazz fan, currently, the only player on the team with a ring is Talen Horton Tucker. Is he better or worse than Sir Charles?

      Draymond just signed a $100 million 4-year contract extension. He's 33 years old now, so that contract is good until he is 37 years old. He obviously signed his last contract with the GSW. The GSW expects to get one or two more championships within the next four years with Draymond on the team. That's why they gave him a contract extension.
      That would get the original team of Curry, Klay, and Draymond 5-6 Championship rings. It won't be easy to do if Draymond keeps being a bad boy.

    Chuck is Hitting it on All Cylinders. He is from the era of the game where teammates who did things that embarrassed the ballclub, the fans and the game itself, were brought back in line by seasoned veterans, and they were not always teammates on that particular team. Father Time is undefeated and players do age out, so when Chuck speaks of the frustration of not being able to perform the way they used to, you get the serious Meltdowns. Draymond has been the King of incendiary behavior and because he has been literally given a pass, we get to where we are now. I said on a previous post, that shutting him down, this early in the 23-24 season, may in effect cost Golden State their season, and Draymond just signed a 4 year extension. This man was suspended during an NBA Finals, with Golden State up 3-1, and lost so much continuity, that they lost that Chip to the Cavaliers. He has been suspended three (3) times already, This season,costing them from advancing in the IST, to the Kings. Charles Barkley, Charles Oakley, Artest, and many others, who handled things on the court and in the locker room are not emulated by anyone anymore. Get Draymond Off the court Now and into the sessions as a condition of returning, but no time soon. Not doing so may lead to something way more serious than the NBA has seen before.

Personally, I'm burning his jersey. I can no longer watch Warriors games when Draymond is playing because I don't want to expose my children to his level of violence. What are they waiting on? So you had an aging problem child player on a team that needed to reboot anyway. There is no way he was worth a 4-year extension at a premium price. He is getting paid for past performance, which is generally a mistake. But past performance with baggage is even worse. Now they are stuck with him. This incident will result in a second multi-game suspension. The last one was for 5 games. This one may be much longer than that. Ten games wouldn't be a shock at all.
