I'm from Chengdu. In summer 2019 I went there together with my parents and had fun doing a good tour as you did in the video, tasting beer and seafood as well as going on the beach. I looooove the natural scenes there like Laoshan as well and I miss Qingdao sooo much so one day I hope to go sightseeing there again and hang around if possible. For a Chengduese like me Qingdao Is such a gorgeous city it's full of History, eating and natural scenes and it's worth visiting for everyone.
I burst into tears when I watched this video. Qingdao is my hometown, but I haven't come back to it for two years because of the pandemic. It feels bittersweet to see those familiar roads, buildings, and cuisines. Sometimes we don't know when our works moved somebody. I just want you to know this beautiful video really moved me. Thank you so much for sharing it!
I think you are an underrated video producer. Your video has a good lens language. I noticed that your video playback volume is not very high, I think each of them is worth hundreds of thousands of playback. I think it's because the content of each issue is shot from the perspective of tourists, and the content lacks an in-depth understanding of each location. In particular, there is basically no humanistic content. I think it helps a lot to find a local guide. And bilingual subtitles in Chinese and English will be of great help. Millions of people in China learn English every year. They will look for videos with subtitles to watch and use them to learn pure spoken English. It’s also a good idea to publish a copy on the Chinese video site bilibili.
I’m pleased you liked it! Only on the camera roll bit. It probably looks different as it’s the only place we’ve been where the sun was shining on our trip 🤣
I was surprised to see the European architecture in Qingdao, Beer In The Bag, there's a seafood restaurant in NYC that severs Drinks In A Bag, they look like IV bags every time I go to NYC I try to go to this restaurant even if I don't get anything to eat I make sure to get Drinks In A Bag, for some reason it's more fun or tastes better or something I don't know but I like it LOL
they don't want to charge customers for the deposits and then the refunds. in Panama you have to show the receipt with the bottles and they would give you the refund. in Peru or Guatemala you either bring an empty bottle, or they charge you the deposit. in Germany, you put the bottle in a machine, it would print out a receipt and you take it to the cashier.
Urate level rocketing high for sure in just 1 day but certainly full of joy drinking near and eating seafood. Jerry Goode, another UA-camr that I follow is also in Qingdao.
Great video. Although Qingdao beer is too light to me. I think the bagged beer is just the continuation of old fashion. 30 or 40 years ago in my city of Tianjin, when I was still young, people used whatever can contain liquid to buy loose beer because it was much cheaper than the bottled beer. Buy then, aluminum lunch box was a popular beer container because every one got one. Later on, plastic bag took the ground of being the carrier for everything. Beer is not an exception.
Oh yummy. Those clams Nico had looked even better (ala meatier) than the Cherrystone and littleneck clams we have in the US. They're very expensive indeed. They go for $30 to $50USD a pound steamed, served with drawn butter, in some seafood restaurants -- whole clams, shells included.
@@Nicofilms They surely beat Fish N Chips. :-)) There're indeed many best xyz one's ever had when it comes to food in China. In comparison, the Chinese food outside China seem like for peasants. Eg. Beef broccoli. Ever heard of it?

Our restaurant in the United States stocks Tsingtao but in my many trips to China I have never seen Tsingtao beer. LOL. I have seen lots of PBR and Bud along with other Chinese beer in China. Oh, FYI, Bud does not taste the same as in the states.
Absolutely love the beer in a bag tradition. I understand with all the pollution this may be a dying practice. Perhaps they will come up with some starch based bags that you can eat after finishing the beer. Also, for the clams you can just bite/suck/eat the meat out straight from the shell. No need for all the dexterity with the chopsticks. Your hands will get dirty anyways.
Yeah it would be great to adapt the tradition! Haha yeah I was trying to be polite but that all went out the window when I started with the prawns so I should have just got stuck in.
Try seafood in Guangdong in the future, which is mostly steamed (not fried). Cantonese people think steaming is the best cooking style: keeping the original flavor of seafood flesh in its original form.
i wonder if anyone loses his/her wallet OR cell phone while out drinking in this beer festival. i was in an eastern europe tour 3 years ago, the tour guide said some Aussies lost their passports and wallets during the octoberfest!!!!! love from canada.
