The vampire cougs narrative is loser talk. An excuse by fans. News flash, BYU football was ass last year. Football needs to show up and show out this year. Plain and simple.
I would love to see BYU bowl eligible!!! That would be great accomplishment!!! I don't care about the losses as much as I care about them competing and being in the game until the 4th quarter ends!!! If they are competing like that the wins will follow!!! Last year was a completely embarrassing!!! We had one of the worst offensives in the country and that is not and never should be acceptable ever again!!! This is year 2 in the BIG 12 if our offense doesn't make a 360° turn for the better then we need to evaluate the offense coaches and start fresh with coaches that can recruit and make proper play calls on the field no more RPO'S in obvious run plays or vise versa!!! I'm hoping for the best but until I see progress I'm not going to hold my breath 🫁!!!

I think the frustration comes from the fact that BYU went independent to prepare for entry into a power conference and we were told that they would be more prepared than if they were in a G5 conference. BYU fans don't want to wait a decade to have a single team that can contend and if we're going to take as long as Utah, why did we leave the MWC. Because apparently being independent didn't help BYU prepare for the Big 12 at all.
Going independant was to help us get into a power conference, and to prevent BYU from having to give 90% of its revenue to everyone else in the MWC who earned little to nothing. To this end.... Mission accomplished. Winning a Conference title in the Big 12? Winning a national Championship? That is the goal. It will take years and perhaps much longer but, like life you have to learn to enjoy the journey.
The fact that most of the content in these videos of late are basketball, I’m assuming that means there’s not a lot of good news in the football recruiting front :/

5-7 may be the best 2024 will bring. 6-6 is possible but not likely. More than 6-6 would be a dream.
The kickoff time last year wasn't the reason why BYU's run blocking was awful. I think a 7-5 season would show great improvement.

Yeah last year I was difficult to convince someone our team actually cared at all during some of those games
Play early, play late. Doesn't matter. BYU lost a lot because they were inferior to their opponents.
