We went there a couple hours before we had to be at the airport, last trip to Denver to kill a few hours. Ended up filling up a suitcase and had to add an additional checked bag. 😂
I used to have about 30 of those trees because they reminded me on my Grandma as that was the only Christmas tree she had up each year. Then I downsized my collection by donating it and a few years later the tree craze took off.
Just when we thought you couldn’t be a more amazing thrifter….you do this! Wow! And how wonderful that you are always looking for your Grandma’s signature on those trees. ❤🎄
I just love your energy! I’m originally from Southern Illinois, though I’ve lived in California now for twice as long as I lived in Illinois. And I used to visit Denver when my daughter lived there. So I feel connected to you in many ways, not the least of which is thrifting and reselling! You make this old woman happy. And now I’m wondering whether your grandma’s place is where my mom used to do her ceramics!
Many years ago I was taking ceramic classes and I made a white one for my mother, when she passed, my brothers had an estate sale and IDK but some one got it. I really wanted it bc I’d made it.😢
Shout out Southwest Airlines safely shipping this precious tree….which I’m sure made someone’s December! Kristen you should send a video snippet to southwest maybe they would bless you with some miles. Thanks for the video they are the best
I just saw that you landed at the St Louis Airport I'm from that area. Where did you move to?. I'm originally from Southern Illinois just across the river from St louis.
Great Video! I am flying to Florida from VA in a few weeks. I am planning on thrifting while there and thought I might take 2 zip up Ikea bags with me. Since you were able to check a box, I think I must be able to check those right? I wasn't sure.
What are your grandmas initials? We have a tree we found at a Goodwill maybe 6 years ago in Oregon and its on my table right now. Lol I never realized they have bases to them.
I don't know about the other folks here, but YES, I missed you. Nice to have you back on YT. BTW how much did they charge you for the box? When my dad died in 2017, I brought home a big box of stuff home on the train. They offer 2 free bags up to 50 lbs! Most of the items I brought home were keepers, too.
Same as the train then! With Southwest, we get 2 free checked bags up to 50lbs and a carry-on, so I use them all!! 😅 Sorry about your dad!! Thanks so much for watching!!
So glad you are back!!! Where in the Midwest did you move? Close to Omaha? So happy you got the ceramic tree and was able to sell it. I have quite the collection of ceramic trees, but only found 1 very small one in 2023. The GW are selling them on-line and they go for big bucks.
Great questions! 1) Grandma’s initials were “OWL” 2) Denver does have carts BUT (last time I was there) you could only get a cart if you left your ID at the the register. Thanks so much for watching!
What did you have to pay to check the box at the airport? I'm flying American Airlines to WA in 2 weeks and had to pay $20 extra to choose my seat per flight and another $60 to check a bag. I'm going for 5 months so I had more than a carry on. Skyway robbery! Lol!
I fly Southwest and, as long as each checked item is under 50lbs, it’s free for 2 items. We like their bag policy, and with Mr Squirrel flying so much for work, it’s the best option for us.
LOL! Paul disclosed all of my secrets! 😂😂😂 Did you see his video? He gives away even more of my secrets on his video! 😂🤪😂 Thanks so much for watching!!

Oh my gosh!! Tracy! That’s crazy!! 🎄
We all had those ceramic trees growing up. Fond memories. ❤
Aren't they cool? I still have mine!!

You are very brave trusting the Airlines not to break your package.
LOL! Or confident in my packing!! 😂😂

Ohhh nooo!! How cool that you made one!! Makes you appreciate them so much more too, huh?
Good to see ya Kristin ! You must be right across the river in Illinois if your closet airport is St Louis . Happy New Year !!

Juuuuuudyyyyyy!💖Thanks girl!!
@@ARuralSquirrel you are just so much fun
clue of the black keys.....vintage Nancy Drew!
Such a good series! Right?!
Very organized the Denver Goodwill Bins is? I am hoping to go to a bins in Grand Rapids, Michigan this weekend.
These Denver bins aren’t what I would call ‘organized’ but rather maybe ‘separated’!! LOL! By their nature, most bins are organized chaos!! 😂😂😂
I just saw that you landed at the St Louis Airport I'm from that area. Where did you move to?. I'm originally from Southern Illinois just across the river from St louis.

That’s a great idea too! If not, a box always works! You can probably get one from the hotel if you don’t find one whole thrifting.
What are your grandmas initials? We have a tree we found at a Goodwill maybe 6 years ago in Oregon and its on my table right now. Lol I never realized they have bases to them.
I’m always looking for her initials “OWL”. Love those vintage trees!!

I love these trees too!
Close to St Louis now, on the IL side
Thanks so much for watching!!
Forgot to add that I was on the Illinois side. Pretty close to Alton Illinois
That’s so cool!! You’re not far!!
Awesome✌️
LOL! Thanks!
Love your photo icon!!
Two quick questions: 1) What are your grandma's initials, in case we find a tree with them? 2) Are there carts at the Denver bins? Thanks1
Great questions!

@@ARuralSquirrel Thanks!
I hope you picked up the camels and manger?
I gave them to a lady that was there at the bins that day admiring them. She was gonna dig more for Mary. We both thought that they were super cool!

On Southwest you get two bags free! So it was free as she said she flew SW!
