The part used in this video has since been revised by Hybrid Racing. It is unknown at this time if the modification we made is required on the new part revision.
so this video is only a yr old, but hybrid racing has a totally new design where both bushings are encased in a plastic that snaps directly into the circle of the cable end - it's pretty dope. the large bushing is now more of a spherical bearing within the plastic casing and the smaller one snaps in and is just fixed in place. they are labeled as being for an RSX, but they fit CLS6 perfectly.
hey quick question so i recently bought a manual 03 cl and i was wondering if i can put a 01 automatic shifter cable into the 03 im getting rid of the automatic one but i’m swapping out all the new stuff into the 03,i’d appreciate it if you could knowledge me 🙏🏽
Great content as usual.the only thing is Acura/Honda techs always recommend O.E.M.for the reason you had issue with.i deliver to them on my delivery route.my mechanic who services my 2003 Acura cl type s 6 speed/2010 Acura tl sh awd 6 speed also recommends O.E.M. also
I would typically recommend OE parts too. You get reliability and assurance that the part will perform. You can see this in my other videos where I reference the parts used. In this case, I think it's a safe and easy OE plus upgrade.
I'm ordering parts to 6spd swap my 03 CL-P. If you wouldn't mind, could you share what part number you ordered. I've researched and have come up with RSX fitment bushings being the same as the CLS6. Which is HYB-SCB-01-02, from Hybrid racing. I've also not seen anything about having to modify either bushing, in order to get them to work.

When I learned about their redesign I was excited to hear this. Perhaps they saw our video. 😋 Probably not, but one can hope we influenced the change.
@@acura2g we'll just go with it and say you probably had something to do with it!
@@acura2g just wanted to follow up and inform ya'll that the cable INSERTS (that go in shifter/side) are also listed for 02-06 RSX
Sweet content
Thanks!

HYB-SCB-01-02 is the part number shown in the video
