I just purchased this and the maintenance section of the owner's guide item #3 reads: "Press the top dust cup release latch to access the dust screen and remove built up debris as required. With the dust screen removed, turn the dust cup over and empty the upper chamber by holding it by the recesses handle underneath the dust cup." It even shows a picture of the dust screen removed. However, I could not remove it. Your video does not indicate that the screen is removed. So I'm going to leave it alone before I break something.

I have watched a few of your videos & they have been helpful to me with deciding weather or not to purchase this particular upright vacuum..Also, fyi this particular upright vacuum is a Shark "Rotator" Lift Away upright vacuum not a "Navigator Rotator" or "Rotator Navigator". The Shark "Navigator" Lift Away vacuum is a totally different upright. The features & accessories that comes & are included with the "Rotator" lift away vacuum are not included with "Navigator" lift away vacuum.
How do you clean the inside where the beater bar is? For instance cleaning up baking soda, the baking soda sticks to the inside. How do I take it apart to get it clean?
FYI.......i buy these all year round at the salvation army auction...i get this particular vacuum along with about 6-10 vacuums all in one bundle for 20.00.
Did your vac not have the cloth like disc shaped filter under the foam cylinder? The Shark Rotator that I just purchased dose. Or is it not to be removed and cleaned?
My manual shows that the dust screen in the canister can be removed. I've tried to remove mine but it won't come off. Does this screen come off for anyone or is it permanently attached?
Thank for the videos. I have a Shark rotator. How do I take apart the brush assembly to clean it. There is crud stuck on the body above the brushes. Thanks Rick
TheBoostedKing One Direction 1D I use one of those long bendy wire bottle or brushes for cleaning the hoses & tubes, they remove blockages & any stubborn dirt trapped in the ridges of the hose which reduces the suction
Gayle Kessinger certainly, just wash it with warm soapy water rinse well then leave on draining board overnight to drip dry. All dirt cups on bagless vacuums are designed to be washable, when my mum noticed a loss of suction on her Samsung cylinder I washed the dirt cup, lid & all the filters out thoroughly. The suction is much stronger & it smells fresher now

I have the professional and it seems to have a different hepa filter. it's directly under the canister and just as big around. ???
