I had to tighten the belts finger tight when i had assembled my switchwire. Till today i have had no requirement of tightening the belts. I have used generic belts in my switchwire. Maybe your belts are not properly aligned on the pulleys. Please check that.

Klipper runs both on the motherboard and the host computer( Raspberry pi) for it's functioning.
