I am flabbergasted that you fit that hobbywing in there. FMS 2 in 1 ESCs are kind of hit and miss, but the Axials are pretty good for the 24th scale. That would have been an easier fit, but it looks like you tossed easier fit straight out of the window. That's a hell of a build.

I appreciate your comment and your time checking into my channel. The 1080 is a tight fit and will only go into the chassis sideways to allow the steering servo . No mods are done to the body at all for this set up to work . The power i get in this truck is insane for what is needed lol... my next move is to install a tamiya or similar light control behind the drivers seat to get my lights back. Thanks again for your time and your comment.

I was going to jnstall a esdt70 esc with Bluetooth support ,but that would not fit without rail and body mods if i recall correctly. I agree the weight is nice up front. I am considering epoxying copper bbs under the radio plate for a little more weight yet

Great video series. Not only you got a TU but also a subscription :)I really appreciate the detail you went into. I am going to be honest - I have so far seen only the first and this (7th) episode, but I would lieke to ask whether you also did (or plan to do) some work on improving the steering angle. We have the Eazyrc glacier and apart from several updates I would like to do (as the ESC apparently just died, the plastic gears don't hold up and the suspension leaves a lot to be desired) is to make the truck able to turn tighter corners. Looking at the front axle it is not going to be an easy mod as the limiting factors are going to be the shocks - and there I don't have a good idea how to improve on that. I am still toying with the idea of putting the body on Furitek (or other) chassis that would be better out of the box, but it would also probably end up costing quite a bit, so I am for now considering my options. Thanks.

Thank you for your awesome comment. Comments like yours keep these builds going. At this moment, i have not addressed the steering angle, and to be honest ,i have not given that part of this truck into consideration for improving. One thing i do fear over stressing the articulation of the steering components in fear of premature wear or breakage. That being said thos is a bulletproof build, so perhaps i should see what there is that can be done there once i figure out the drive shaft replacement. Stay tuned for that as i have ordered what should be direct bolt on steel driveshafts. That is if you havent done this mod yet. Im staying silent on my driveshaft order until I know that they will work for sure. That being said ... of you upgrade your radio system to one that has adjustable end points that may help you get better steering angles. One of my videos does touch on what i did for my suspension, although it is not perfect ...i feel that the suspension has improved and does not have the severe sagging issue in the rear end that is known with the stock shocks. I can not speak on anything furitek offers but like tour idea on doing a chassis swap , that may become a future build for me lol so thank you for that idea.
I will be doing a new video on this build series soon and with that being said , it will include a compatible parts list for upgrades that is up to date and with hopes ....metal driveshafts lol
If you have any other questions , please hit me up... i am also on facebook under
Rc custom creations ...this is where i post a lot of my still photos of builds and the progress on them .
      Cheers :)

Got 1040 in mine from another 1/10 fms, still noisy. Looks like the 1080 is the ticket.

So far the 1080 has been a lot quieter then the stock esc. Thank you for leaving a comment and checking out my channel

What screws did you use for the bumper mounts? I know you addressed how the stock ones would no longer work. I am stuck on this step at the moment. Thanks.

Im sorry i missed that detail when i did the video . im iut on the road until tomorrow night , so unfortunately, i can't say for sure. I think it was m1.4 thread, but I will double-check that tomorrow night and get back to you with the correct info.

So i just checked the screw size and length...
      You will require
M1.6 thread size @5mm thread length for the front bumper
M1.6 thread size @ 8mm thread length for the rear bumper
If you do what i did with the body lift then you will shorten your thread length according to the material thickness removed from the top of each cross member . I hope this is what info you were looking for, and thanks for letting me know i failed to include these screw details . Thank you for your time in checking out my content .
The following is a link to the last of this build series and in the description, there should be a link to a screw set i used

Thanks for the info. It will save me a lot of time. I’m still on the fence about the lift. It would have been nice if the screws would have been included. Your videos allowed me to dive deeper than I normally would. Keep up the great work!!

I agree that the screws should have been included given the odd size. I am happy my content has helped you go outside your comfort zone. Thank you for checking out my channel and leaving some feedback :)
