No worries, glad I can help! That's Editing DRN's contribution as he facepalms each time Live DRN just assumes you know exactly what he's looking at while he opens his mouth and jabbers on without thinking :D
Thanks Hooba! :D Sometimes it's just there at the tip of my tongue and it flows without effort, and then sometimes I can't articulate the horrors my mind's eye conjures imagining striding amongst the ashes of the battlefield with carnage and debris strewn everywhere as mechs the size of building blast each other to rubble.
Stormcallers.... it's always stormcallers. This could have been the Sledgehammer carry game! The light side was there calling you and the dark side still won. Overall great game. Anti missile war factory would have helped a ton if they could have it tucked away from the EMP for the first 20ish seconds. The EMP was an interesting call... never thought about preempting someone picking a tech by getting EMP early... new tool in belt there. Edits on point, Editor DRN sanity still hanging in there, so a great video. As always, wishing you the best of luck and all the stormc- *cough* Sledgehammers!
Hahaha, thanks dude! Yeah I've lost so many games trying to force Sledgehammer carry that for me it's no longer "once bitten twice shy", it's more "strung up and cruelly lambasted a dozen times after failing to win a perfectly winnable game by doing something stupid with tanks, thrice shy". Hopefully I can remember to play some Giants next time we get Giant Spec too :D
Can't believe you didn't pick subsidized stormcallers when yoi were struggling so much with the tarantulas. Oh well, I'm just a stormcaller enthusiast myself (that often loses with them)
You say you didn't have much of a grand strategy, but I think it was mostly just that you built a solid base and your opponent didn't do much to disrupt that. Your opponent was slow to address your phoenixes and stormcallers (and/or committed too little to the effort), and I think your early emp pick made them shy to taking tech
Yeah - still think it was wrong to tech the phoenixes with EMP that early without a clear signal that my opponent was bout to turn on a mission critical tech. Made their Range tech cost 500 which is hard to slot into a turn until late game. I've been trying to play flexibly lately, building a solid chaff and chaff clear base with a little anti-air somewhere along the way and then using what my opponent plays and what Bearlike provides to decide our direction in the end. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
They're one of the best EMP units in the game! Fairly safe, fairly strong, can reach targets from afar and can't be blocked by AM techs like War Factories or AM devices people buy to close the game out.
Really appreciate the arrows! Pointing out Exactly what you're talking about when you mention upgrades or units in trouble!

Nice to hear the narrative muse coming back at the end of the game :)
Thanks Hooba! :D

And then he gets offered it again, the game really wanted you to go stormcaller xD
@@olegoleg258 When Bearlike makes you an offer you can't refuse, you take the card he gives you!

I'm so proud of you!!!
Thanks dude! Was very happy with this tourney run :D
Are emp phoenixes any good? I personally take sniper and farseer EMP usually

Love me some stormcaller spam
I both love it and hate it. You could call me conflicted on this one!
@13:48 Double the stats, for half the price... can't say fairer than that!
@15:21 Double the catchphrase, for half the effort... can't say fairer than that!
Editing DRN is threatening to put in his notice if I don't remember to say it sometime soon!

Haha, obligatory "First!", grats!
